When I connect my bluetooth headsets, it is set to 44.1khz and balanced data transfer.
I change it in "developer option" to 48khz.best quality.
I turn the headphones off and on and it reconfigures to 44khz and balancer transfer data.
I want to know where are those options (files) to fix them as I want and not have to change them whenever I match the headphones.
Is there an application that tells you what file is changed when you change something in the system?

And especially the Bluetooth codec. By default it is aptx but to my ears, or with my headphones it sound kinda crap. Switching to aac sounds way, way better. But here's the problem: disconnect the bluetooth headphone, or reboot the phone, and it goes back to aptx.
Is there a way to force it default like this, via editing some configuration files, xposed mods, magisk, etc?

Hello, I have a rooted lg v30 running boombox rom v.0.10.
The main reason I decided to buy the lg v30 was it superior audio quality. I also have LDAC supporting bluetooth headphones from sony so I was waiting quite eagerly for the LDAC support coming with oreo. I just learned today that there are additional bluetooth settings within the developer settings section.
But to my bewilderment I cannot change the settings to a higher quality. I mean I can choose the LDAC codec and the higher sampling rate but at the moment I connect the phone with the headphones it switches back to lowest standard settings... I installed the sony connect app to look if there was something to change there but it also did not show LDAC as an option after connecting to the phone. I am quite annoyed. Any Ideas what the problem could be? Is there a notification when a LDAC bluetooth connection is successfully established?

Ignore the app, it's completely unnecessary. Every time you connect your headphones, the settings are restored to default. Go to the bluetooth settings of your headphones before pairing them and change the 'Connection type' from Most stable to Best sound quality. This sets the highest quality codec your headphones supports as default. Go to Developer Options and change the sample rate to 44.1k or 48k and the LDAC Codec: Playback Quality to "Optimized for Audio Quality". Should have all settings stay supporting the max spec of both devices and software like Viper4Android. When you connect your headphones after doing this, a notification will appear at the bottom saying LDAC quality is enabled.

Thank you for your help - unfortunately that did not work for me. Like I said before I can choose the settings within the developer section before I connect with the headphones but the moment the bluetooth connection is established the settings switch to AAC ( which is not bad but it is not LDAC) and 44.1khz/16bits.
There is no notification regarding LDAC...
I updated the smartphone firmware yesterday to rule out some software related problems.
By now I am not sure if the problem rather originates from the headphones (wh-h900n) than the smartphone. Given that I just have one device that supports LDAC and one pair of LDAC headphones I don't know how I can determine which one is maybe not correctly working. [emoji52]

Answer:
1. Uninstalls that Sony Music Center (song pal) app
2. Remove your Sony LDAC headphones from your BT settings.
3. Pair your headphones again with your phone.
4. Go into BT settings. Click on the cog wheel next to your headphone device.
5. Choose Audio Quality over Stable connection.
6. You are all set.
Note. There is a toast message that appears once you're connected and established LDAC connection.
hello guys, i have the ue wonderboom as a portable speaker but i noticed that it sounds really bad with this phone, i dont have this problem if i use it with my ipad pro. in the developer option i see that everything is setted to the minimum quality: codec SBC, frequency 44,1/16bit. and it doesnt let me change any of the settings. whats the problem?
Normally the Bluetooth audio settings changes automatically to best sound quality.
Maybe it depends on the app you use to play the music? Try another app to verify

The device always uses the best settings according to the Bluetooth headphone's compatibility. You can't really force any settings on most of them except maybe LDAC quality. The only real setting you have is in the Bluetooth headphone's entry in Settings > Bluetooth where you can toggle AAC, aptX, etc. Even the available bit pool for SBC can't be configured by the user on Android.
Does anyone know where I can find this? Its nowhere in the settings and none of the apps work.
I have an Anker Soundcore Bluetooth speaker and if I set it to "Call and Audio" it displays remaining battery level under its name. If it's only set to Audio, it doesn't display battery level. So, if you want to see battery level, depending on what device you're using, you may have to set it to be used for Calls.
Simply, go to Bluetooth settings, then connect your device and click the settings cog next to its name and toggle calls.
