With the CM12 theme engine up and running and with themes pouring in I decided to make a
small list of the themes that I feel are most compatible with different custom ROM’s and those I personally like.
Yes, I have seen a post or two with the same topic but I thought I'll make it a little different or if
not just another "best CM12 themes" post.
There are a ton of other themes available at XDA as well as g+. I’ll hit those links at the bottom. If I haven't covered some of them it's either because it doesn't fully work with my phone/custom rom or I just missed them.
I have tested them with a wide range of custom ROM’s. Please return the favour by liking/rating/sharing some of these themes as the dev’s and people involved spend a lot of time and effort in pleasing our eyes.
Please feel free to PM anytime for any help. Even though I might not give you the right answer ill point you to the right direction.

Best app to use is SQLite Editor - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.sqleditor
Any other app that connects to the database or other editors should do as well.
1. Go to /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases directory
2. Open the settings.db file, and open the secure entry
3. Search for themeConfig field and either delete the whole field or clear its contents.
Thank you and I hope you found this post the least helpful if not for helpful.
Threads like this are an affront to all the other theme devs who have poured themselves into making something worth sharing. Everyone's tastes are different. No one cares what you like kid. There is a thread already that has all of the themes so ppl can find what they like.
There is already a better thread.

Those screenshots are from a Galaxy S4[with S6 Port Rom].
Your Device will have some other colour.
Each Android Skin has it's own combination.
I am trying to bring in the option to manually choose certain UI colours like that of Action Bar, Accent Colour, Primary Colour, etc. Stay tuned for next update. It won't be coming out anytime soon though.

I am using it with AOSP rom. I'd be happy to test it if it's possible.
@oroboros74 Xposed installer app is same for all builds, x64, x86 and arm. So this module should work, or?

Yet it's totally possible to test.
Everything is well surrounded with exception handling so you won't get into any issue even if it does not works[I don't see why it won't].

No, we can't make it work for KitKat as Material UI was introduced with Lollipop.
Xposed developer clearly states that it's not possible to make changes in styles/themes of android apps using Xposed.
Yet we came to know that this is partially wrong. Even though a style in Android App can't be modified it can be replaced with one present in Android framework.
So since Material Themes are present in framework in Android Lollipop we replace Holo Theme by Material Themes. This is impossible to achieve in KitKat as the framework does not has Material Themes.

THIS IS A PIXEL² MOD FOR ASUS ZENFONE 2 LASER/SELFIE RUNNING WITH LINEAGE OS 15(OREO)I am VERY excited to introduce to you some new Pixel 2 features, thanks to the developers releasing Pixel 2 apks on XDA!! This begins the era of Pixel 2 mods. While much work remains to be done on Android Oreo, this is an exciting development. Check out those screenshots
Here's my PIXEL² MOD built for Android Oreo! The current status of this mod is still a work in progress. Actually i am working to bring a whole PIXEL² ROM with all PIXEL² FEATURES. But as you know that LineageOs 15 for Our device is still a work in progress so there have some bugs. But as soon as a stable build (BugLess) of LineageOs 15 release for our device, I will Give you a Complete PIXEL² ROM. For now use this..:silly:
Important piece here. Anything flashed is flashed at your own risk. I have not and will not release anything that I have not flashed myself. However, I only release that after testing the mod on my Asus Zenfone 2 Laser running with LineageOs 15. Regardless, you should always backup before flashing anything. Better safe than sorry. To everyone who has asked questions, tested, and contributed I give you a huge thanks.
If you intend on using Substratum, don't flash Pixel Blue Accent Color Mod. I'm working on a simple work around for this.
So as always, make a backup before flashing. I do not have an uninstaller zip made. The best way to uninstall is to backup your system.img in TWRP and restore if to remove the mod.

Common Questions/Issues & Answers/Solutions
Pixel Nav Bar Animation?
-Not yet, still roadblocked on that one.
Pixel Launcher is crashing repeatedly after flashing this mod!
-Go into settings from your quick settings and grant Pixel Launcher notification access.
Not all icons are round?
The problem seems to be in the versions of those apps.
Substratum?
-If you flash the Pixel Blue Accent Color Mod For LineageOS 15 then it may break Substratum. If you want to use Substratum don't flash Pixel Blue Accent Color Mod mod. If you have, then just reflash your system.img to return to stock. But you can still use the Google Pixel 2 Mod.
Notification Dots aren't working?!
-Make sure to enable the Notification Dots too. Go into the Pixel Launcher Settings (tap and hold like if you were adding a widget or changing a wallpaper). In the settings there is a category "Notification Dots". Even if it says "On" tap on it. Make sure "Allow Notification Dots" is on.
Weather is not showing!
-Make sure to grant Pixel Launcher location access. Then give it some time. If you don't want to wait, swiping into Google Now and clicking on the weather seems to force refresh the weather widget on your homescreen.

Good theme, though the Black Notification Panel is pretty much the same as the Default Notification Panel, Blue on Black. I'd imagine this is good for a dark settings screen, also a Twitter Dark Blue WhatsApp and some system tweaks here and there. Frankly I'd love to see a black Playstore and black WhatsApp theme!
If maybe a bit more theming, would be great.

Btw, I tried doing themes for other apps, but it seems like that it is impossible to do that without Xposed + root (or Andromeda, the no-root solution for Oreo devices).
I'll try to make that work, but for now the theme is suspended because Oreo is rolling out on many devices (mine included), so I could end up having difficulties in developing an EMUI 5 theme on EMUI 8.

I know most of you heard about an app, substratum.
What is Substratum?
Substratum is a theming tool that can apply system-wide themes with or without root. There is a huge community of developers and designers making beautiful themes and tweaks. The history of Substratum starts with CyanogenMod, which was an extremely popular custom ROM. Cyanogen included a theming engine that made it super easy to apply themes. Unfortunately, Cyanogen eventually died off, but Substratum rose from the ashes. At first, it required root to apply themes, but Android Oreo made it possible to use without root.
Click to collapse
But hey, it is recommended to have root to increase the probability to theme an app. So, I made steps on how to make some apps have dark theme or any other theme you'd like.
Steps
1. Download substratum theme engine on Google Play Store (it is free)
2. Download any theme apps (even paid or free) or just find some on the internet.
3. Open substratum app then select your downloaded theme (in this case, let's use Dirty Dark theme from the play store)
4. Select an app to be themed (let's use calculator)
5. On the bottom, there should be a button, click that and select "Build & Enable"
-If an error pops up, there are 2 cases.
>Your theme app is outdated, update your current theme app or you have to find another theme app that is updated
>Your app to be themed is outdated (e.g. Instagram v77), you have to update it (e.g. Instagram v78)
6. If the name "Calculator" has a highlight colored Yellow, it means it is disabled.
-To enable it, on the bottom, there should be a button, click that and select "Enable"
7. No need to reboot, just go to your app and see for yourself.
This happens
Is this for custom ROM or will work also for MIUI?
I just downloaded Substratum and when opening, it's stuck in loading. Im on MIUI EU 9.1.24
Update:
Already opened Substratum app by granting SU.
Now my problem is I can't apply the overlays
I think it would not work on MIUI. I will test the latest stable. Be right back.
It should be clear that Substratum works only on AOSP-based ROMs. Right now the OP doesn't make that clear.
Substratum *might* work on MIUI. Partially, at least, but there is no support and don't expect stuff to not just randomly break in the next release of either MIUI or Substratum. It's not intended to work on MIUI, as it has its own theming capabilities and is a wholly different beast than AOSP.

Yepyep, MIUI limits that because it has its own theming engine. substratum might work but not fully 100%
