I have an update available for Firmware Finder but cannot install it.
I tried to changE DNS but it won't "save".
I also downloaded the update but don't no ow how to install it.
Also which version to I download. The largest package?

If you go to sammobile.com and sign up you can download the latest firmware for your device amd you need the ssung dtivers and odin flashable zip. All you need for odin is downloading it from a link on sammobile and look up on google how to update from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 for the s6/edge debices and youll find several step by step instructions.

It has a different "custom version" value. There's no OTA update to B140 available and the firmware I found here won't install.

It doesn't work. Installation fails. I guess the reason is that the device has a different custom version of the firmware.
Any working marshmallow version for kiwlc185b140 middle east with simple steps for update without problems .

For Stock Rom
Download update from link and make new folder in SD have name "dload" and paste your update in it and go to Setting--- about phone-----Update---loaclupdate.
For Custom Rom
You will need
1- unlock bootloader
2-Install TWRP recovery
3-flash Custom Rom
And search in froms

Unfortunately no. You got different modem etc on A310M.
It's better that you wait for a flashable zip of these system files, or for nougat update for A710M.

Yes, you can flash stock rom with Odin even if you got root and TWRP.
You'll have to flash twrp and root it again afterwards, if you want root..

Hi, what is the use of this odin-flashable method? Is it for those who have not yet received the OTA update ? Or something else? like VoLte fix or something. I updated my A710FD with the OTA and now i am unable to make any calls from JIO sim

Here's the nougat firmware available as odin flashable file(not files). Yes, you have to register to download it, but you'll know it's legit and you'll find the firmware for YOUR particular device without asking "can I install it on X or Y model".

4-file firmwares are used to repair software. They usually contanis a few additional partitions which is not included in the 1-file package. Files are flashed by their binary nature. BL, AP, CP & CSC together with pit-file and performs factory reset, wiping all userdata.
1-files are marked HOME.
4-files are marked user_low_ship.
Factory Combination firmware are marked no_ship.

It's an update package you can use firmware finder for Huawei app to install it.
