I have the Ainol Novo 8 Discover with android 4.1.1, I tried upgrading it recently with a file the company provided, alas, I can't get into recovery anymore. Going into settings and doing factory reset it simply turns off the tablet. Adb reboot also shutsdown the tablet.
Is it possible to fix? I didn't do a backup. I have tried accessing recovery by holding at the same time Power Off + Vol down like I used to with no avail.
I have looked every where but I haven't found a solution.
fixed
Well I have solved my problem. It is difficult to find solutions because everything that I encountered was in Mandarin.
I upgraded from 4.1.1 to 4.2 successfully, I will test if the stock recovery is working. If anyone needs help let me know. I cannot put links to outside websites.
Hi I probably shouldn't have done this but I did so it's too late. Now I need to see if anyone has any ideas for fixing it.
I rooted my old Nobis 7" tablet using Kingo Root from the PC. The root was apparently successful since I could delete apps (all I killed was the Amazon store) but now the tablet won't remember it's setup info (like wi-fi, google account, etc.). Powering off is like a factory reset.
Any thoughts on how to possibly fix this? I've booted to recovery, done a factory reset but nothing.
Hello,
I have chinese tablet Irulu eXpro X1, and recently i've tried to root him, i did as is written here : androidtablets.net/threads/allwinner-a33-4-4-2-kitkat-rooted.70443/ and it worked, but after some time i've noticed that tablet after reset are coming to factory settings. Initially i've thought that this is problem with BusyBox ( like this : android.stackexchange.com/questions/52406/why-does-bad-busybox-installation-in-system-xbin-cause-problems ) but deleting BB didn't worked. I've removed root, and did factory reset through recovery, and nothing happens, the problem still exists. Moreover i've noticed that attempting to root tablet again ends up with error, because of complete reset after reboot. Do you have any idea what can i do to fix this issue ?
PS. I'm not native in english, so I'm sorry if i made mistakes.
Anyone can help ? The case is getting worse, auto-rotation of screen stopped working, and after some time of using android show up random errors like "Unfortunately, xxx has stopped"

Hi all,
I have used the search button and got a couple of results which are the same problem i am having with this device.
It does not boot at all, booting into recovery and wiping cache partition/ factory reset have no positive effect. Google searching for this device brings back nothing to do with firmware, stock rom or how to actually restore this device.
Any help appreciated!
Thanks,
Hello forum users. I have a problem, namely, I got a tablet from DMTECH 9458DCB but I don't have a password for it. Is there any possibility to restore it to factory settings I have already tried many ways but it does not go restore even.
