Hey folks. I have a Karbonn A21, which I rooted yesterday. I was trying to get the Swapper 2 application to work. The phone rebooted once and now all it says is 'Entry QPST Download'. No other screens are accessible. Any help will be appreciated.

I have the Cherry Mobile Flame 2 and after changing my boot animation file to the jelly bean Easter egg, my phone would not boot, only stuck with floating jelly beans. I then used the recovery (red screen) and messed things up and probably wiped/formatted the partitions. now I just get the screen... ENTRY QPST DOWNLOAD
I found a post from FB that gives step by step instruction with pics as well as drivers and the partition image, but my internet is so slow that I'm still waiting the program to download so that I can try it. while waiting my CM Flame 2 battery went dead and it don't charge while bricked... so im also waiting to get loaned a universal charger. Anyways search FB for How to fix ENTRY QPST DOWNLOAD post.....
hope this works and if anyone out there has any other thoughts, plz let me know Thanks
Dear xda forums.
Unortunatedly, this is my first post and i will be asking for help rather than helping :/
So... my father came in a week ago with a chinese android phone that i cant tell what phone it is trying to replicate exactly.... thing is, no matter how much i look for this phone i cant find anything about it, i already searched a lot on how to fix this proble but to no avail...
I can give more details if you need them), but basically this is my problem:
I got a chinese phone that runs on 4.2.2, and after working a lot, i managed to install supersu via framaroot(superuser would not work properly).
Thing is, being the inpatient person i am, before backing up anything, or installing a recovery rom or any costum rom, i decided to check some apps that required root.
I downloaded the app anim mod *root* because i thought it was a good idea to change the animations of my phone
HERES THE PROBLEM i used this app and i could see how it was changing things in my system files, it then asked for a reboot, and now it wont get past the boot animation and it freeses right there, i can enter factory mode(which is in chinese and i did look up for a translation) and recovery mode:
In both modes i was able to reset the phone but the problem is still there, ive literally have been searching whole days now and i am quite frustrated.
My question: what should i do to fix this? i have root but no recovery rom , so is there a way i can install a costunm rom just to try?
If the case is that i changed a system file (animations) how can i change them through my pc? does a reset from the stock recovery reset the system files aswell?
I am new to this, but i am willing to learn and try everything that could fix this.
If anyone wants to help, you can ask me whatever you want, i can upload pictures if you want to help me identify it or the specs i managed to get from factory mode.
the phone says it is an alps model a76, but thi phone is nowhere to be found help me please

Its not gonna be easy but theres a fix. You have to take the boarddiag route. I found this tutorial by cesarandres_8911.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65002893&postcount=17
but keep in mind this tutorial is for a tmobile phone. You would essentially have to do the same thing but u have to search the forums for a tutorial for your specific model with the correct files that u need to download. If i find it i will post it here.

Hello XDA
I tried installing a lollipop rom in it,, but the rom proved corrupt and my phone got stuck in bootloop.. This aint the problem as i got it corrected by flashing new stock rom.
The problem starts here---- I was just exploring the phone and i found the app named "FOTA UPGRADE" . I just opened it and clicked on one of the upgrade options. It started installing or something and was taking time . I got confused and took out the battery to switch it off.. UNFORTUNATELY, now the touch of the phone is not responding. Tried factory reset but still not responding. I cant access the phone as it tells me to choose language to GET STARTED. but i cant touch anything..
Solve this issue asap.. plz experts...

Hi
Yesterday I rooted my phone using mobilego it's an UK Alcatel Pixi 4 6" 4G, everything went fine and finished rooting, I loaded SuperSU and it asked to update binaries. I clicked normal and it asked me about my king root and asked to uninstall it so I clicked yes. everything went through fine and asked to reboot. on reboot my phone just loads to the Alcatel logo and stays there so I'm assuming something went wrong somewhere and I now have a soft brick. I'm guessing I need a stock rom for my phone to get my phone working again.
I've gone through all the Alcatel websites that pop up on Google and all I have found is a stock rom for the 3g version of my phone.
does anyone know how to get my stock rom? or how to unsoft brick my phone please

hi Daniele00 try download this package this is mobile updater for alcatel devices. download tool wait for end installation and connect your phone off with the pc .if mobile upgrade recognized phone will be flashed new firmware.you have guide inside tool.remember process is long so drink few beer and relax.i hope this will help you. i cant post links but go to alcatel official site and search tool mobile upgrade..alcatel-mobile.com
Thank you for the reply, I have been to the Alcatel website and in the software upgrade section my phone is not listed unfortunately the area no support for any Pixi 4 variant on the website, it's so frustrating. just an idea I had though, my partner has exactly the same phone as me, if he was to factory reset is there any way I can get it from his phone and some how install on mine?

Your partner has the exact same phone you say? Then I think it's possible to make a backup of that device and then flash it to yours.

It's the system partition that got corrupted, you can probably just use fastboot to flash the system.img of the other device that you have.
question, my phone being soft bricked and won't go past the logo screen, if I sent to repair centre will they somehow know the phone was rooted or can't they cause the phone won't boot.?

If you don't tell them the phone was rooted then I don't think they would know. They should be able to get the phone working again.
Wouldn't it be easier to just make a backup of a working phone and then flash that?
