Hello everyone
I recently changed my phone from a galaxy S7 to a Poco F1 and I'm experiencing some problems with my scala rider bluetooth (motorcycle helmet bt), I can't use any of the command through the buttons, on the S7 (and other older phones) I can call a fav number and also start the google voice assistant, but on the Poco nothing works, just play, answer calls and control the volume.
Also, I can't add any bt device to smart lock.
Anyone has experienced any similar issues?
Thanks!

Is it possible to voice dial from our bluetooth headsets? I have a blueant z9i and i haven't figured out a way to easily do this... is it part of android even? Maybe this could be a reason to upgrade my earpiece.
I seriously cant be the only one here who has attempted to voicedial from a headset??? Its not working for me on my blueant z9i, but what is everyone elses experience attempting this?
I have not been able to voice dial from either one of my headsets. Both moto, neither handsfree or stereo headphones w/ mic.

Well, since nobody is answering your post, best I can do is tell you what mine does, different hardware though.
When I press on the earpiece button, my phone beeps once, and the voice command is activated. You say, example, "Call HOME", and the phone beeps twice, a menu comes up on the screen where you have to touch-select what you just said out of a selection of 3 to 5 items . Then it dials the number.
The feature is useless - since if I have to dig the phone out of my pocket to touch the screen after saying the command, I may as well as just dialed it with my finger to begin with... so you're not missing much.
Plus - if you drive a standard - letting go of the wheel, or giving up shifting to futz with your phone - is simply not an option in regular city stop n go traffic. Handsfree, with finger confirmation, lol. Got to wonder sometimes.

I have a problem that when I searched for solution, I found that many other people have this problem !
I often use my bluetooth handsfree device , I press the botton to activate Voice Dialer or Cyberon Voice Speed Dial, all sounds like ring, music, notifications, etc... are gone !!! all volumes are on high and active and profile in NOT silent... but there is NO SOUND at all !
the only way is to reboot my phone ! I installed many different ROMs and the problem still exists but one Sense ROM named imilka's Desire HD v2.0
any solutions ?!
i never got problem with this on my s4g. bump.
I have the same issue
Did you ever find a fix? I get the same from choice dialer and google voice dialer. Vlingo does not have this issue, but it does not work through your bluetooth when you press the bluetooth button.
I got a pair of LG HBS-730 to input voice commands to my SG-N7100, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm on a stock CM10.1 and grab the input from Autovoice (a nifty Tasker plugin).
Depending on whether I activate Phone, Media or both in the Bluetooth settings of the headset, the input is either solely grabbed from the phone's microphone or is ignored.
I tried BTMono, BT Launch and a few other apps that claim to help with this, but it seems to be Android related. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=38566
I also tried disabling/renaming VoiceDialer.apk, but it only helps with the headset button presses not with the microphone issue.
Any tips are most welcome. I'll try anything at this point (including dabbling with Java and Android Intents).
Thanks in advance!
I have a similar issue. I can't get my phone to wake at all on a bluetooth press. If I am logged in and i press the bluetooth button it will then bring up my default options for voice control and any one I choose it will respond to voice. I tried BT Launch and it works well to wake up the phone but then I run into the same problem as you, which is the voice app will not respond to the voice prompts. Have you had any luck? It should not be this difficult to use a droid via bluetooth hands free.

P.S. I see it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-2/help/bluetooth-voice-dialing-t3227958 and do not completely understand no any solve?
same problem here,i tryed with mi key click app from the chinese store,i can start google now with the wired headset button but i hear sound from the bluetooth one... i guess the best is to use a aosp rom more adapted to this kind of use.
I use my Mi A3 with Android Auto in the car, but don't have an Android Auto compatible car radio - so just use the phone screen and bluetooth for streaming audio to my car.
This works great on previous phones, and worked fine on the Mi A3 under a custom rom (Pixel Experience) but on the stock rom it doesn't work correctly.
The Google Assistant navigation guidance and voice responses are WAY too loud - like the volume for the stream is set to 10, compared to like 4 or 5 for everything else like spotify.
My bluetooth volume (on the phone) is set to max, and i set a comfortable listening level on my car radio with spotify playing - but when Google speaks its so loud it's distorted!
Does anyone have any idea why this occurs on the stock rom only, and how it could be fixed? - I've tested with my wifes car and it does the exact same..
Edit - it's worth pointing out I've checked Google assistant launched from the OS (not in Android Auto) and the volume is fine. However as I pointed out earlier - Android Auto volume is fine on custom ROMs.. suggesting this is a stock OS issue.
Nobody else have this issue?
