Hello everybody!
I currently have on my kenzo the lastest AOSP Extended Pie. I have an officially unlocked bootloader and the latest TWRP.
Now, I want to sell my device, and therefore I need to get back to MIUI.
Is there an easy way to flash MIUI retaining TWRP and even the bootloader unlocked?
Thanks in advance!
if i recall correctly, you flash lazyflasher and then MIUI rom. that should allow you to keep your bootloader unlocked while having stock MIUI rom
Thanks @Doplan. Actually I never used Lazyflasher. I need to read more about it.
I was hoping to put the phone on a default factory state, with the original ROM.
Searching how to make this procedure, the results lead to the MiFlash tool, while using a fastboot ROM (from official MIUI). It seems there is an option to re-lock the bootloader.
Which means I have a choice about leaving it locked or unlocked - haven't decided yet. Not sure if the person (I will sell it to) is as tech savvy as we in this forum are. So even might be preferable to lock the bootloader.

I would personally leave it with TWRP and global MIUI rom.

Lol.....No neeed of miui. Rn3 is old phone. Just keep Aex Pie instlled with twrp official.
Altleast Aex pie has auto OTA push .its very decent stable build better than miui 10.2 which was last official update. And no more official update is expected from xiaomi. And also miui 10.2 is worst release with battery drain.
The buyer will consider used rn3 to buy if he finds it is installed with android 9.

I think the phone is still totally capable of doing almost any task. For non power users, and if the price is right, I think it still is a reasonable choice. In a quick survey, I found people selling this in the 80 - 120€ price range (in my home country Portugal).

Can I install directly a modified MIUI (eg. xiaomi.eu) via TWRP coming from AEX? If it's an official global ROM MiFlash is the way to go.
@Black_Stark I personally also prefer the pure Android experience. That will depend on the type of user that will buy the phone.
I just guessed the average person looking for a phone (cheap, used) might not care about custom ROMs, or unlocked bootloaders. Just want the original software.
For authenticity purposes, I'd flash the latest stock MIUI with lock option. Then it's up to the buyer if he wants to mess around with ROMs or other modifications.
Simply install official miui stable rom from TWRP
Download the recent official stable version of the ROM from the officail website of miui >>> <<<
Keep it in the internal memory, then booting into TWRP , install the ROM before wiping data, system, cache & dalwik
Then intall the Stock Rom / Latest miui zip file and preferably lazy patcher as well.
Then you are good to go .... Boot into the system
Lazyflasher/Stock ROM/Latest MIUI
Thanks... Hope it might help.

You mean:
1. Install official ROM (from internal storage) direcly over my current ROM (AEX Pie);
2. Full Wipe (system, data, cache and dalvik cache);
3. Install the same official ROM again (from internal storage);
4. Install LazyFlasher;

hi everyone am on the last global stables 10.3.6 am facing battery drain and slow battery charging.
i want to rollback to the beta 10.9.6.24 everything is perfect there.
can you plz explain me how to do step by step .
do i need to unlock the bootloader ? use mi flash tool ? and falsh fastboot 10.9.6.24 ( where can i downloaded it )?
any help is welcome
There are 3 ways for rolling back:
1. download recovery rom and simply flash it via twrp ( which is the most common) but since you have locked BL and therfore no TWRP you can't use this method.
2. download fastboot rom and flash it via miflashtool (by putting fone in fastboot mode) this is the best method for you and one that works with locked BL. Also make sure that you are flashing the FASTBOOT version of the rom. Since there are 2 versions for each Rom. Recovery rom and fast boot rom. And as mentioned earlier, you will need fast boot rom for this method.
3. EDL method but you will never use that, it involves putting phone in EDL mode (back panel is remove and two short points are touched via wire on motherboard and usb cable is plugged in and then fastboot rom is FLASHED by miflash tool, this is usually done on BRICKED Xiaomi phones and MIFLASH asks for AUTHORISED ACCOUNT, which atm are only found in their official service centers.

We never had a version 10.9.6.24. U can only go for 9.6.24 (beta rom) or 10.x.x.x (stable rom).

This link below contains all MIUI roms that have ever been released to this date.
https://xiaomifirmware.com/roms/official-roms-for-xiaomi-pocophone-f1/
Also as someone else mentioned, there has never been a rom such as the one you stated. The latest global stable rom is 10.3.x.x and will probably take years to reach 10.9.x.x. You must be confusing it with beta roms that usually start with 9.x.x.x serial.
And as you will be going from stable to beta, make sure you backup EVERYTHING or you will loose it.
Going from stable to beta, or vice versa, wipes the phone of all data...
You have been warned...
OTA Updates
- 20.6.4, which fixes a few small bugs.
- 20.6.11, with a few more small fixes.
- 20.6.18, with a few more small fixes.
- 20.7.2, with a few more small fixes.
- 20.7.9, with a few more small fixes.
- 20.7.16, with a few more small fixes. Note this version includes the July 2020 Android 10 security patches.
- 20.7.23, with a few more small fixes. From the changelog, this is a minor update.
- 20.7.30, with a few more small fixes. Note this version includes the August 2020 Android 10 security patches.
A few tips for OTA updating after a first xiaomi.eu install:
1. Use the included Updater app.
2. Be patient. The screen will go black for quite a few seconds, just wait. Also, wait a few seconds at the MIUI logo.
3. Note there is no need to wipe or format data or any partition for OTA updates. The Updater app takes care of everything and no data is lost.
I managed to install xiaomi.eu MIUI 12 ROM, latest beta 20.5.28 on my Mi 9T. This is done in three basic steps:
1) Unlock the bootloader. Note that you don't need to wait 168 hours anymore, just use the Mi Unlock app and you can do it in a few minutes (requires a PC). Check the Mi Unlock app for detailed instructions. Link to Mi Unlock tool: https://xiaomitools.com/mi-unlock-tool-en/
2) Install TWRP latest version. Note that there is a trick here because if you reboot into recovery just after installing TWRP, the normal Mi recovery will overwrite TWRP. Instructions to avoid that are found on the TWRP website. Link to TWRP for Mi 9T / Redmi K20: https://dl.twrp.me/davinci/
Instructions to flash TWRP: https://twrp.me/xiaomi/xiaomimi9t.html
3) Flash xiaomi.eu ROM. Again there is a little trick here that you must format data partition with TWRP before flashing the xiaomi.eu ROM. I forgot to do that the first time around and got a TWRP bootloop, solved by recopying the xiaomi.eu img file using adb push and then reflashing the xiaomi.eu image. Again here the correct instructions are found in the xiaomi.eu website.

Just OTA updated to 20.6.4, it fixes a few small issues and for me, it's working fine as far as I can tell. :good:
On Titanium atm, and wondering whether I should try latest xiaomi.eu but had a few questions:
- How do you install v4a on Miui 12? Is it as easy as audio compatability patch, install driver, reboot?
- Can you just replace the stock gallery app with google photos? Will this open from Camera?
- Does xiaomi.eu come with vendor if I flash it? Currently have OSS vendor.
- Is it less laggy than the first beta release on davinci?
- How do you get the Global theme gallery?
- Can I flash, THEN wipe data before reboot?
- Is OTA supported with Orangefox?
Thanks for any answers.

They rolled it out like more than a week ago, but only for testers. If you flashed that and you aren't in the program you won't be getting updates (it's not like they released any anyways). Also, it's pretty much a bugfest, China closed beta is much more stable.
Beta and stable are contradictory don't you think?
It's either one or the other.
so, is it beta or stable?

Help!
I have a European Mi 9t Pro and have just flashed the Global (stable ) MIUI12 rom.
So far so good, it works... but I am now unable to access extended power menu options (aka Recovery Reboot).
The option has also disappeared from the MIUI update settings.
And performing the VolumeDown+Power boot only gets me to a minimal menu with 3 options: reboot to system / wipe / connect with MIAssistant.
I tried using ADB tools to re-flash TWRP to no avail.
The fastboot flash recovery twrp.img command works fine, I get the expected successful output.
But then the fastboot boot twrp.img command returns a "no such file or directory" error.
What can I do? T_T
Issues with 12
The floating windows work only when they pop up. There's no button (there's only one for split screen) or mini list in task list. Pick up to activate front camera unlock doesn't work.
Is there a known issues list so i can check if it's specific to my device or just a known bug?

Those 3 options mean that you are in MIUI Recovery. When flashing official Xiaomi ROMs your custom recovery will always be replaced with the stock one. As for the error, try placing twrp.img into the adb folder and specify the location as in fastboot boot C:\adb\twrp.img.
Also, if you already managed to flash TWRP why don't you just boot into it with Vol+ and power button?

I concluded that custom roms (without Miui) are unable to decrypt /data with this recovery.Checking LineageOS and ArrowOS, it seems that they use a different encryption mode than Miui.I haven't found how to check on Twrp booting what encryption mode /data uses and adjust to it.Therefore, I have uploaded another release for non Miui devices. Can't tested by myself, I don't know if it decrypts fine. However, it is likely the Miui variant will work correctly on the rest.

Flashed R2 release, but it doesn't decrypt my data (it doesn't ask about my PIN). I am Polish xiaomi.eu translator and tester, and will ask Xiaomi.eu team about recovery ROM if the storage is decrypted... but can't for now...
Also, I was unable to boot to system after flash that TWRP, I had to use OrangeFox to be able to boot.

Hello. I'm Spanish xiaomi.eu translator and user.
I don't understand how is possible your issue...
When I boot TWRP it asks me for the PIN to decrypt.
I would not have uploaded the image without testing it first.
Also the reboot buttons do what they say..
I have so far tested it without installing, because I have not yet dumped the Stock Recovery partition.
In theory, it is supposed to work exactly the same in boot mode as in flash mode.
Can you try it without installing?
As stated in the third disclaimer lines:
"Its intention is to allow the Rom xiaomi.eu be installed via recovery."
I retired here due to lack of free time and have only become involved now for this reason.
Best regards

Same situation, unfortunately... (except the reboot button which boots system, as i've just booted recovery, not flashed).
Edit: removed all screen lock methods I've set, still same. Looks like it isn't able to decrypt my data even without screen lock... Maybe something works differently between beta (which I use) and stable (which you use) release?
Edit2: logs there with set PIN as screen lock method https://miuipolska.pl/d/Orjon/gauguin_twrp.zip
Edit 3 24.07. 9:00am CEST: reboot to system works fine now after flashing your recovery, maybe the fact i've used "fastboot reboot-recovery" command was the reason to fail before...

Your logs do not seem to give relevant information about the issue.
It is clear that booting are completely ignoring the security lockout..
During the night I dumped and unpacked the stock recovery.
After studying it, I found nothing significant except that the kernel is not exactly the same as in boot.img.
I'm now downloading the latest weekly release to unpack it and compare vs stable release.
