Factory reset under twrp, how to recover it? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
So, I accidentally did a factory reset from twrp (dammit, why isn't there a confirmation request?) and my latest backup is from june.
I tried to mount the data partition from twrp but I can't see anything from the pc.
What can I do to recover my latest data?
Thanks.

[Q] very easy questions, hopefully

Would I be soft bricking my phone if I was to do any of these:
Format/ cache
Format/ system
For/ data
For/ sdcard
For/ enmc
Wipe data factory reset
Wiped cache partition
Wiped delvick cache
Wipe battery stats
If I was to carryout these steps at once in recovery would I softbrick my phone and if I do do that would I still have access to the download mode.

One more thing how do I get around md5 mismatch for the backups I have when I try to recover them. This md5 mismaych hasn't allowed me to recover nor one of my latest backups, I am hvimg to use a very old backup.
Yes you would soft brick your phone, you would just need to flash another rom via CWM or odin (Download mode).
You would also wipe both your SD cards, and basically everything else.

well in the first place only a person who's gone out of his mind will do all of those steps in one go so that his phone soft bricks to match his mind that has already been (Soft Bricked)

Decryption failed

I'm running an encrypted OnePlus One. I went in to recovery, did a nandroid backup, then did a wipe data to test something. The phone booted fine after the wipe. Then I went back in to recovery and restored my nandroid. Now the phone won't decrypt and says I need to factory reset. Says something like "Your password is correct but decryption failed" ... Is there a way to recover my data, or am I screwed?

ODIN Bootloop help - recover data

All bit of help, i flashed from the 6.01 beta back to 5.1.1 al stock as I want to use my Gear VR, i flashed back via ODIn all find but stuck in a bootloop, i know the usual process to sort this (either wipe the partition or master reset), the wipe partition failed, but prior to doing a master wipe how can i recover my data.
I thought in bootloader it had an option to connect to a usb, that way i figure i can copy all data off.
Any help is appreciated, just being cautious as I don't want to lose 2,000 odd photos.
bump
Does the TWRP work? I guess it works, and you can try wipe data/cache with that.
Yes can can to bootloader tried wiping the partition cache without success want to avoid a data wipe to preserve the data (photos)

TWRP can't mount any partitions, factory reset doesn't remove my data

I was preparing my 5823 Z5 Compact (rooted, stock ROM 6.0.1) for re-sell and decided to encrypt my data before performing a factory reset through the settings menu. At some point, my internal memory must have gotten corrupted, because when I factory reset, all of my data is still on the phone. Trying to wipe through TWRP, I see that it fails to mount any of the partitions.
I am not sure what to do now. Any advice would help. Thanks.

Try to reflash the newest stock firmware for your region with Flashtool. Google for a guide, there is at least one detailed guide at xperiablog.net that you can follow.
It worked!
Thanks a million. It worked beautifully. In my stupor, I'd forgotten that flashtool was still an option. I need to stop messing with phones after midnight!

[Help] Disable request for factory reset/stuck in recovery loop

Hi,
I have Unnihertz Titan (Mediatek based) and I sucesfuly flashed TWRP by using a guide and got root via Magisk. Everything was working fine, I tried to restore some partial backups and it failed, so I tried Factory reset. Didn't worked from TWRP (now I know that because /data partition was encrypted), so I tried from settings. That was huge error. Now I'm stuck in the loop, bootloader tries to run recovery to do Factory reset, but the alpha TWRP I installed doesn't react and what is worse it doesn't clear the request for Factory reset so even after wiping /data and cache, I still end up in TWRP and not system. Any idea where the request for Factory reset might be stored?
Ok, found it, it was in `para` partition and all I had to do was erase it using fastboot.
