How i can root lolipop stock ROM of lenovo tab 2 a7-10f ?
I have tried kingroot and much more methods, but doesnt support.
I heard people say that lolipop version cant be rooted, just kitkat version which is first ROM. Lolipop is OTA upgrade from Lenovo.
I dont want to flash ROM, i want to use some tools which are available throught root.
I have tried flashing TWRP throught unlocked bootloader (fastboot), when i run command:
fastboot flash recovery c:\twrp.img
It says, done.
But i cant eneter recovery, and i flashed it multiple times, and it says it flashed fine.
But when i use key combination i enter in stock recovery.
And i tried diffrent command (i didnt know that command is bad idea)
fastboot flash boot c:\twrp.img
And i stucked in twrp recovery, it coudnt boot in normal system, because i changed what android should boot.
I extracted from stock ROM, boot.img and flashed it only in fastboot.
And booted normaly, but when i run on recovery, i saw i deleted it's stock recovery.
I was freaked, and i didnt touched anything anymore, i lost stock recovery but i dont care, i care that tab is still alive.
I'm not able to flash anything in any other way that fastboot which is quite scary to use if tab is working good (i dont want to break if something works)
How i can root it.
I have knowledge of adb commands but with all that knowledge i didnt managed to get root to this device, it looks like it's locked in that way.
Lolipop is best, it is very good and accesibile, and i just want to tweak it more with some xposed modules and apps that support root.

Hi all I want to ask for your help on that and made a mistake when installing the application GooManager.
I happen to install the application on my tablet GooManager back to my current rom, but the problem that I have is that my tablet really has the lock fastboot, and for that reason I have been looking for other alternatives in order to install custom roms without losing the current rom.
But now I'm in serious trouble because Goomanager urge upon the OpenRecovery-also install TWRP-2.5.0.0-hws7300u.img. using OPENRECOVERYSCRIPT.
This worked perfectly and manages to do the installation, but the problem is that not good for my huawei tablet and did not start properly.
I have now a recovery.img which is the stock of the tablet, but as I have the fastboot lock, I can not install it with adb and other methods I found surfing the web, so I ask for your help, if I can I can show you how to install the stock recovery in a safe and transparent, you do not need that this unlock fastboot.
Or if I can use the OpenRecoveryScript GooManager Scrip somehow to not install the OpenRecovery-TWRP-2.5.0.0-hws7300u.img and achieves install my recovery.img which is what I want to use.
I have similar problem. Installed TWRP 2.5 but it's buggy, cannot complete data backup (hangs with reboot). I need to install a previous twrp version but can't use fastboot for practical reason and rom toolbox crash while starting to flash twrp 2.3 :|
any hint?
Question: goomanager is able to flash a recovery with tablet on and not via adb fastboot, so can we flash a recovery (twrp or stock) via terminal emulator? How?
used good old dd on /dev/block/mmcblk0p17 partition
How and where..
Working on my brothers mediapad.. he have installed twrp 2.3.2.3 and it cant flash either stock or any roms i tested with. it say faild.
So now i want back to stock rom and stock recovery. Or get this crap to work.
Any help.?
I have understood that it can be repaired but from linux, you have to press the button volume + and volume-for more than 30 seconds, this connected via USB and then get access to the 32 partitions mediapad there looking for the recovery.img and replace it by ready stock and fixed the problem.

how do you return from 10.1 cynogenmod the stock rom?
So, I think I finally did it. I broke my phone.
I wanted to flash the new Existenz Rom 6.0 and the flashing worked fine. The phone started and it got stuck in the Xperia logo. I than downloaded the Bootloop Fix. To make sure nothing goes wrong I wanted to do another factory reset. Somehow, my phone uses two roms (Philz custom recovery or something like that (I flashed the rom with this) and a TWRP Recovery). My phone booted into the TWRP (which it usually doesn't do) Recovery and I thought "Well, I can do a factory reset here". So I did the advanced reset but after restarting I can't access anything! When I turn it on, there is still the Sony Logo but if I press up and down I can't access none of the custom recoverys. I'm truly desperate and I can't afford a new phone. Can someone help me how to fix this?
@DerDokktor
XZDR and similar recoveries for locked bootloader reside in /system partition , when you wiped your system you also wiped the recovery...
You'll need to flash an .ftf firmware with flashtool to recover your phone. If you want root and a locked bootloader flash a KK or LP ftf (as MM is not rootable yet), then root it with kingroot or something else you like, install XZDR from your computer and then you can go to the recovery again and flash existenz rom or any prerooted rom you want.
You could also flash a MM .ftf directly but then you won't be able to root it without unlocking your BL.
If you need help with flashtool follow this guide:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/03/1...peria-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool/
Edit: the first steps of this guide are to create your own .ftf , if you already have an .ftf downloaded you can go straight to the "Now that the FTF firmware file has been created, you need to flash your Sony Xperia device." section of the guide.
So, I kind of rooted my device using Kingo Root and it wasn't successful (I guess). So, in fastboot mode, I tried OEM unlock and it didn't work too; but anyway, I flashed TWRP recovery into my phone and through that I tried to install CM 13,14 custom ROMs which was completely unsuccessful. It doesn't allow me to install any ROM. And says that root privilege is lost. And now, all that I have access to is a phone stuck in bootloop and TWRP which doesn't allow me anything to do because apparently root access is lost. :crying:
I tried every method of flashing via YGDP tool and it is stuck at 'entering download mode'. I have installed different drivers over and again to fix as suggested by different threads but still, it's the same. [Windows 8.1] . And is there any other tool to flash this same stock ROM or better, can I get root access again in a bricked device and install a custom ROM any way?:fingers-crossed:
I also have access to ADB sideload via TWRP, so can I get stock ROM in .zip format. So far, I can only find it in .CPB format; maybe I can use .zip stock ROM via ADB sideload to flash it. Please help if any of this is possible.
*Apology for such a long question but I think you guys must know everything in order to provide me with a fix*
It's fixed.

Its fixed now, I assume it was because of the ROM file being downloaded through chrome in phone, I downloaded ROM and GApps in PC and flashed through TWRP and bam! Its back on:laugh:
TWRP - 2.4.4
ROM - Resurrection Remix 5.7.2
Thanks anyways!
i'm in trouble. i'm running an old cm13 build on my oneplus x.
i wanted to clean install lineageos14, so i tried to flash the newest twrp recovery which didn't work (i have the old bootloader). so now i have no recovery on my device, cm13 is still booting fine.
when i try to flash twrp trough fastboot it tells me my device is not unlocked. when i try to oem unlock it reboots directly into cm13, not into recovery as i dont have one on my device. oem unlock is checked in developer settings.
i don't know how i can get a working recovery, i tried to flash old twrp (2.8.7) and the stock recovery trough fastboot, but no luck. how can i flash the stock oxygen rom without recovery?
maybe someone can help me. thanks in advance.
This guide will help https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/general/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3272108/
Latest stock oxygen will be flashed by recovery tool. But before it you should backup all needed data from internal memory.
Hi, I want to install custom rom on my tablet but I can't flash or enter into any custom recovery I know.
Tablet specs:
It's a chinese BDF tablet 10''
Brand: JTY
Board: KT107_L1_20160428
Procesor: MT6580
Kernel: 3.10.72+
Android: 6.0 Marshmallow
I tried to do it using many tutorials and many ways founded on many forums, including this, without success.
During these attempts I unlocked root and bootloader, installed on my pc ADB drivers, Google USB drivers, MTK vcom drivers, PdaNet, on my device PdaNet, BusyBox, TWRP manager and ROM manager.
First I tried to install TWRP recovery using the newest recovery from their website and 3 others recoverys which I found on the internet and should be dedicated for my tablet. I installed each one of them using ADB in Command window, SP flash tool and Easy magic TWRP installer, which is dedicated for any MediaTek device, both ways: manual and automatic. Every attemp was successful but every time when I checked in TWRP manager, it said what I don't have any custom recovery installed on the device, when I tried to enter into it through the boot menu it wasn't entering into TWRP, only the chinese stock recovery.
Then I tried with Easy magic PhilZ 6 installer, but the effect was the same.
At the end I tried to install CWM using MTK Droid Tools, but this program doesn't see my device and I couldn't fix this.
Could any of you help me somehow, explain or give me a right recovery file so that it works. I really want to change my Android to a LineageOS and I'm tired of my fails. I'm working on this 5 days, accidently bricked it, stucked on bootloop and stucked on logo screen so many times that I can't even count, I'm desperate for help.
any luck yet ?
Hi !
I have the exact same issues with my Chinese BDF tablet. No matter how i try to Flash a custom bootloader to the tablet, it simply wont work... Even tho it looks like i succeed, whenever i want to boot into the custom bootloader, it always boot into the installed chinese bootloader, and the chinese bootloader wont let med flash custom firmware to the tablet. Let me know if you find a fix, and i will do the same if i succeed installing a different bootloader
I did not see this specifically in your question so as far as i understand it. You first flash the twrp.img, this is a temporary boot file. DO NOT REBOOT YET. flash Magisk.zip and twrp.zip - now reboot and you should be rooted.
