This what happens when you modify your phone if you stood on stock you wouldn't be going threw this situation this why the OEMs limit what we can do on are devices
([emoji3590]09-09-18[emoji813])
But sometimes stock is better than a custom rom in terms of features :/

Hi, i have GT-S6313T Galaxy Young Duos TV and I'm using ROM of GT-S6312 Galaxy Young Duos. But this ROM, of course, doesn't have TV.
Trying to port TV from stock ROM to custom ROM, I've made a research, and collected the files needed by TV to work. The list of file is:

The ROM I use is X-Sam Duos V1.0 By Shampod. As this ROM is deodexed, I've deodexed the framework and app files from stock ROM.
I've looked, but can't find what's wrong! Please, someone help me, and help all other Galaxy Young Duos TV users wanting to use ROM made for another device, as our has tooo few ROMs.
Note: I've divided logcat files in two parts each due to forum limit of 512 kB. Each has 700~800 kB. One was created using stock ROM, with TV working. The other was created using custom ROM, Mobile TV app force closes.
No answers :/
Anyway, I managed to find a solution. Bin permissions were not fixed (rwx r-x r-x), and it was missing some libs. When I got them from stock ROM, TV worked.
Welcome Touchwiz Fanboys and Nexus Warriors. Lend me your ears. Today I will be introducing a new ROM for both of you. This ROM is not laggy and it is 50℅ Google and 50℅ Samsung.
So first off Google...
This ROM has:
It has the stock Google now Launcher
It has the Google Keyboard
It has possibly all Google apps excluding Phone, Contacts and Settings
Gapps are pre-installed
Now let's go to Touchwiz:
It has the beloved Touchwiz Lockscreen with epic particle effects.
It has the cool looking Touchwiz notification bar.
If you don't like the Google Keyboard then you can switch to the Samsung Keyboard
It has the stock settings app so that it is possible for you to access all the Samsung Touchwiz Features.
It also includes the Samsung Dialer and Contacts and Gallery
Plus I have extracted the system ui from the galaxy s6
There are no known bugs on the ROM. Please report to me if you find any.
The power menu has been removed so if you hold the power button the phone will switch off instead of showing the power menu. I highly recommend this ROM as your daily driver.
Would love it if I could get some assistance!
BTW the ROM will get a special feature soon. I may introduce the new always on feature on the Samsung Galaxy s7 if I get enough votes.
I will also consider adding other features you may request.
This is exclusive for the A500F model as I only have this phone variant!
Instructions:
1. Make a backup of your current ROM using TWRP Recovery ( Do not SKIP. YOU WILL NEED THE FOLDER DIRECTORY)
2. Download the ROM from the link.
3. Extract the folder containing the ROM.
4. Now move the folder to /TWRP/Backups/234CEC2A/
5. Boot into recovery and click restore.
6. There you will see the ROM name Google Touchwiz ROM Final.
Then restore it.
7. Now go and factory reset and clear dalvik cache.!
8.Your Done!
Sorry about the long process. Still don't know how to compile Roms into a flashable form. Also first boot takes a while! It runs on Android lollipop 5.0.2.
ENJOY THE GOOGLE TOUCHWIZ ROM!!!
Marshmallow Update is here. And the best news is that the A500f version seems to be compatible with other variants if you restore only system, but not boot. I have tried my a500f version on a a500fu version and it WORKED. But please make a backup in case things don't work out.
Edit: It has been over 5 years since I made this. Its hard to believe that I started out here. The links are dead, hence why I've renamed the title. For those who stumble upon this later, enjoy this piece of history.

I am wondering if someone has or can make a flashable S7 edge panel that I can add to my current rom. Also does anyone have a flashable S7 apps zip or a flashable note 5 apps zip. I have tried modifying my rom from a twrp backup, following a turtorial, but obviously there is more to it than copying just the system/app and system/priv-app
If this isn't possible could someone point me in the right direction to add spcificly the s7 edge panel to my rom by modifying it somehow.

Hello,
Is it possible to remove the camera firmware out of a custom Rom from a smartphone with a IMX220 Exmor RS (https://www.kimovil.com/de/liste-smartphones-nach-objektivmodell/sony-imx220-exmor-rs) and
include it on the firmware/custom Rom of the elephone s8?
There hasn't been any custom ROM development going on for this phone in the last 3 months.
But skeleton made Eragon and my question is if it is the possible ?

Maybe. You can look into the system files . There are camera libs and some more things in system/etc and vendor folder.
Copy them out of the firmware . And of course the camera.apk
Then copy all into your custom ROM on the s8 and reboot.
(Make a backup in twrp first. Just in case something goes wrong, also make sure the files have the right permissions. Use mixplorer explorer for that. It will set permissions automatically)
I will try it with "Meizu MX 5" and "Sony Xperia Z3"
by the way: only Ver. 7.0 Like Google Camera 4.1.006.126161292 works on elephone s8
is there a way to get the images a little brighter? with the Google camera the pictures are super dark

Hi, of course! I've added the boot animation in the 1.2 version, please let me know if it is not the correct one. For the charging sound I couldn't find it easily so my proposal is to wait a couple days for S10 sounds to be released and I'll do a S10 version that should include it as it will be based on One Ui! If not, then I'll do both versions; s9 one Ui, and S10.

Thanks a lot, this is indeed what I was looking for!
I know this sounds all nitpicky, but is it possible to have the genuine S9/S10 boot animation?
I know Samsung uses another file type for their boot animations but is it possible to port it over somehow?
Thank you very much!

Would you have an example, for example a YouTube link? To see how it is different from the current version and what we can do. Indeed Samsung uses qmg for their images and it is not straightforward to convert to PNG files. Thanks!

Found this video:
The Samsung logo is slightly more centered and the animation is slower.
I don't think that the Samsung logo in your boot animation is the genuine one also.
Perhaps there is some way to obtain it? :silly:
I don't know how much work you put into making a boot animation, if it's too much of a bother I'm fine with your current one.
Again, I'm being extremely spoilt and nitpicky here and I'm very grateful for your patience, answers and of course your work. :good:

Well I've looked at it and couldn't find a way... It seems that the only way to convert qmg images to png is to execute a software on a samsung phone running touchwiz, as it then uses the local library. As my phone is on lineage OS, I can't do it... if you are on stock rom we could try it, otherwise I don't see another way to extract the info! Regarding speed and size I could try to modify it manually when I will have some time

I'm surprised you're still looking into this, that's kind of you to do that, cheers!
I'd say don't bother, that's just too much effort.
I can't use my S5 anymore anyway as the motherboard seems to have some kind of fault; visual artefacts on the screen, items jittering, snowstorms, random reboots and when I turn off the screen it doesn't come back on.
Got a new genuine display last year and all was fine but now my phone has started acting up again. :silly:
It wasn't my main phone anyway but I just loved using it.
Anyway, thanks a lot again for your patience and helpfulness and your great work, I appreciate it! :good:
Any way you can bump the supported API level up to 29 so there is support for Android 10 ROMs? I've been wanting to use this on crDroid 6.4 (Based on LOS 17.1). Just tried to flash and it had told me that I have to downgrade the version to API 28 (Android Pie).
Any way to have these without the boot animation? Just the sounds change. Or if there's a way to edit the zip I can have a go at it. Just need to be pointed in the right direction. The One Ui sounds pack available for Magisk simply doesn't work for me.
