Also, after you go back to US998 Nougat with Refurbish, then do the Master Reset, and when you refurbish back to Oreo go ahead and go to 20H KDZ.
Your bootloader should still be unlocked, I would think. (However, if you don't see the bootloader unlock warning after Nougat and Master Reset, then go to 20b)
From 20H, then you can reinstall TWRP, and flash the three root files again (no encryption, root check disable, and Magisk).

I am still just restarting a couple of seconds after getting to lock screen. It kind of looks like the phone doesn't actually complete the reset it goes the deleting screen for about 2 seconds before rebooting.

I don't see that you first flashed Nougat, then did Master Reset before going to Oreo.
Nougat would be 10c or 10d (your choice).
Oreo starts in the 20's.
Frankenstein Instructions say to flash Nougat, then Master Reset, then go to Oreo. There's a reason for each step I don't have time to explain here.
Something about your phone is messed up and doing Frankenstein over (Nougat, Master Reset, then Oreo) should fix it.

It DOES work if you flashed the right firmware.
If you have a constant bootloop and Master Reset doesn't fix it, it means you usually have flashed the wrong firmware.
I'm betting that you tried to flash Oreo first instead of Nougat.
What letter/number US998 Nougat did you flash? Did you use Partition DL mode?
Please read Frankenstein Instructions again. You should be asking in that thread if you are trying to convert one North American variant to another.

If you already have US998 V30+, why are you flashing US998 Nougat? What are you trying to achieve?
You don't need that for bootloader unlock -- you need early Oreo 20a or 20b. The only reason to flash Nougat are for North American variants who have to convert to US998, before flashing US998 Oreo 20a or 20b. Most can't flash directly to Oreo 20a/20b, they have to first flash Nougat, and do Master Reset, then flash early Oreo.
Were you using Partition DL or Refurbish? Read the Master Reset directions again.

If you press the buttons long enough, hopefully it will reboot.
Still didn't answer why you were flashing Nougat, when you already had USS98 firmware? You only needed to flash USS98 20b.
I'm afraid you unneccessarily flashed it because you didn't read instructions carefully, so I don't know what else you didn't read carefully...
Hope you get it working again!

I couldn't be happier, but am I the only one who noticed it's dated for April 24th?? What're your guys thoughts on that? Did lg hold out on us, or maybe the carrier?

It shouldn't but backup just in case
It's always better to do a factory reset after a change in Android version, eg. 7.0 to 8.0, so would recommend back up now.. When you change to Oreo, reset afterwards., then restore.

The KDZ will work regardless of your carrier, so long as your device is an H873.
I flashed it on my Koodo H873 last night and it works perfectly. Just be sure to check off upgrade in LGUP so you don't lose any of your data. Open LGUP using Uppercut.
As long as you don't unplug your phone during the upgrade, you will not brick.

Of course!
Assuming you've downloaded the KDZ, the only other steps are getting LGUP and Uppercut. Just google them, you should be able to find them.
Install LGUP (Make sure it is version 1.14) and run Uppercut. It may trigger a virus warning, so you should disable your antivirus temporarily. It is not a virus.
Plug your USB cable into your computer WITHOUT the phone plugged in.
Shut off your device and plug it in while holding the volume up button. It will enter download mode.
Finally, in the LGUP interface, it should show your device model on Standby. Check off "Upgrade" if you do not want to lose your data, or "Refurbish" if you want to factory reset it. In the list at the bottom, select "BIN" and click on the three dot button. It will prompt you to choose your KDZ.
Assuming you did everything right, click on Start. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE IT IS UPDATING. When the progress bar in LGUP reaches 100% and your phone enters the "Android is Upgrading" screen, you may unplug your device and wait for it to boot.
Voila, you have Oreo! Please PM me if anything goes wrong.
In the future, please look for an existing thread for flashing instructions. I will make an exception here because you are new to flashing, and I know it is confusing.

Help - Cant Enter Recovery - Bricked?

I think I screwed up and bricked my phone... I had recently updated to 20g and was having some issues with some things (I didnt wipe some data when I did the update). So I then tried to wipe some data (from twrp/recovery) and probably ended up wiping more than I should have. My phone now seems to not want to startup. It just sits with the LG V30ThinQ logo on the screen (I had unlocked my US998 phone and have the latest - 20g .kdz on it). I can get into fastboot mode, but if I run adb devices it will give me a blank list of devices. Though it will act like its connected (computer gives a tone like a device is plugged in). lgup doesnt indicate anything is ever connected either. It seems to let me flash something to recovery, so I tried - Fastboot flash recovery with the latest twrp image and it seemed to work.
Trying the button dance on multiple occasions I cant seem to get into recovery. It will send me to factory data reset. And I have said yes a few times, but it still wont fully boot... and trying to get into recovery doesnt seem to do anything.
I tried reflashing (through fastboot) some of the images (first time system, 2nd time boot) directly out of the 20g kdz file and they seemed to flash even though it never shows any devices... I tried entering recovery and just got back to being able to do a factory data reset (tired again). And it still doesnt get past the LG V30ThinQ logo screen (waited like 10 minutes).
Help?

soft brick help please VS996

Hello friends:
seeking help with a soft brick V30+
Story: I've been running stock VS996 20i on a converted LS998. Now TWRP gets stuck on splash screen(TWRP-3.2.3-7-IntSD.img) after trying to dirty flash VS996_20j on an encrypted device. Mistake??? I think so, cause now phone wont boot to OS or to Recovery.
In download mode connected to LGUP+V30DLL_PATCHED; phone shows the VS996 20j.
Question: How do I get recovery back? Can it be done via download mode? Do I need to downgrade back to Nougat or can I reflash recovery from LGUP?
Thanks all!!!
20j TWRP has been having some issues. Take a look at that thread for help on how to get it back. You may just have to KDZ back to a working version. I hear the KDZ works fine, just the TWRP is failing. It's a work in progress still.
When I got stuck with 20j only way out was to lgup us998 N then to us998 O.. That was with DL partition tho.

The first guy said he lost TWRP, so he couldn't flash the 20i zip again. And flashing full KDZ 20i in LGUP would just give stock VS996 with no fastboot flash commands to reinstall TWRP. Unless I'm misunderstanding your suggestion.

Let me add a quick query here or start new thread, idk. Us998, messed up recovery, laptop says unauthorized device in adb. No boot either, what are my options?
Been out-of-town for a bit, so just wanted to thank everyone who contributed remarks.
As described before...after the dirty flash of 20j, phone could/would not boot back into recovery. It either boot-looped or got stuck on the splash screen. So I decided the easiest way to get working was to use LGUP to downgrade back to N. Essentially, repeating the Frankenstein process. Now I'm back to 20i again.
I'm just wondering if it was the encryption which caused the issue to begin with. Perhaps there is a conflict with dirty flashing ROMs on an encrypted OS?
IIRC, flashing over encrypted Data partition almost always ends up with bootloops, no boot or in worst cases a brick. But then that's in twrp. I don't think lgup flashing does that since it repartitions everything if you go with DL..

lg v30 is stuck on no command but the screen is flashing anyone know how to help?

I was trying to convert my AT&T H931 to a US998 using lg up and when the process was done my done doesn't boot until i try to boot into recovery mode and then it says no command and the screen blinks/flashes.

What US998 firmware are you trying to flash? Why aren't you asking this question in the Frankenstein thread? Did you even read those instructions?
What do you mean "when the process was done"? There's four or five steps where you flash TWO different US998 firmware, with Master Reset in between. How far did you get?

You can't root T-MOBILE H932 any other way than the Root H932 Guide @runningnak3dwrote.

Well, just to be clear, you must flash back to 10d now. The exploit is in the combination of 10d firmware and the H933 10h laf. I looked at many different combinations, and some are close, but none (that I could find -- I did give up once I found a working combo) had everything needed for this to work.

If you want to root, the directions are VERY easy to follow and CLEAR.
If you have any questions, this is not where you should be asking. Also to expand on this, it seems maybe you should not do it since you are having a few issues that you should not be having.

What are you even asking here? Do you mean replacing download mode with TWRP? After being rooted with TWRP? That's how my device is setup.
