Hello,
Someone gave me a broken XCover 3 phone. He said, that it didn't turn on and that it is always stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy.... Powered by Android" screen.
When I try to boot into recovery - Nothing happens - It stays on that first Boot screen.
So, I want to flash the stock Firmware, because this could (maybe) solve this problem. For that I've tried to get into the Download Mode. I can get the "Warning" screen, which appears before you enter the actual download mode., but I can’t seem to get any further. When I press the Volume button to confirm - again - nothing happens.
I don't think that this is specific to this device - Has someone had the same thing happen? How did you solve it? Any tips?

Hello,
I have a S3 which is stuck in a bootloop at the samsung logo.
when i turn it on it shows the logo for some seconds then the screen goes black and the logo re-appears.
i can not boot into recovery mode, but download mode is working without a problem every time.
i tried flashing stock firmwares with odin and also tried kies emergency firmware recovery. the flashing always went without any problem, but it had effect. whatever i try, i am never able to boot into recovery and still stuck in the bootloop.
in some tries after flashing the screen just shows the samsung logo forever, but after rebooting it once it then is stuck in a bootloop again (shows the logo - screen goes black - shows the logo...)
i also tried flashing TWRP and CWM via odin, but again i can never boot into recovery mode.
what should i try next?
thx alot for any helpful comment

You can Try this:
1.) Pull out battery
2.) Put it in again
3.) Press Vol up + home + power
4.) When the Samsung Logo appears let it off
I think you press the Buttons too long.
I had the same problem!

i really tried everything, it's not working. btw with i am stuck at the very first image, where it says "samsung Galaxy sII GT-I9300".
i dont think it's just the way i press the buttons because i can reach it on my s1 and s2 without a problem, it's just not working on this device.
could some setting like "nand erase all" in odin help? in other threads there is sometimes mentioned that the internal file system might be screwed up and in those cases a simple odin reflash does not help anymore...
Nand erase will usually hard brick it. Try the rescue firmware from general forum, sticky thread. Follow the guide exactly as it includes a pit file.

thx, but i already did that (multiple times) and flashing via odin always succeeds. then the phone reboots and is stuck at the first samsung galaxy s.. screen. twice i managed somehow to get into recovery (after flashing cwm6) but it then randomly rebooted.
and i dont think that the power button is stuck because when i am in download mode it is perfectly fine it never reboots itself unexpectedly.
Had a similar issue on my tab2 p3100. It all happened when I tried flashing a custom recovery from rom manager.
A bad flash of anything related to recovery or bootloader could be a probable cause.
I remember a knowledge share on one of the threads describing this issue and as mentioned on it all I had to do is this:
1) switch off the device and plug in the charger. This would light up the display showing you the charging status. The status has to show if at least your bootloader part of the phone is fine.
2) plug out the charger and immediately press the three buttons (home + vol up + power) get into recovery mode. This step has to work and help you get to recovery mode.
***Note : the interval within which this step has to be performed is too short since the display would turn off immediately as soon as you plug out the charger. A bit tricky too so you have to be fast. If this misses getting you into recovery, pull out the battery and put it back again. Repeat step1 and 2 again.
3) upon successfully getting into recovery, perform wipe data, cache and select reboot phone from option available on recovery again.
Allow the device to boot. This could take a while since you have performed a data wipe and may prompt for first time set up.
I was able to restore functionality on my tab after these steps and like ppl learn from their mistakes, I then learnt that recoveries and bootloaders are things that needs to be done with a pc only.
Worth a try if you have tried other alternatives and found no go. may help. Who knows..
all the best.
thats also not working. i tried to get into recovery since two days now...
i also tried the steps from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/solved-pit-bricked-dead-problem-gt-t2535367
but again, after i flash the cf-root (successfully) the phone does neither boot into recovery by itself nor can i do it by hand...
its crazy... in download mode i can see the model number (GT-I9300) and i thought as long as the model number is there and i can enter download mode there should be a way to recover the device.
but i cannot think of anything to try that i have not done yet
If the rescue firmware didn't help then it looks like the emmc chip is damaged.

is there a way to make certain of this? how can i tell if it is really a hardware damage and not just a software brick?
i just dont want to let the phone go, it looks still so shiny
is there anything else that could cause the phone not booting into recovery mode after flashing custom recoveries?

Same here, still didn't found how to fix it.. I guess our motherboard just died..
Howewer I have a solution that "almost" worked for me.
Get a stock firmware in odin and turn on Nand erase and T-flash
When it's done phone reboots and you'll see just "Downloading..." mode when you turn it on.
Then got to Kies and Select firmware recovery...
Enter s/n and model name and wait for the flash to complete.
With it , I got past boot logo and actually booted into android but the phone crashed because I guess I have a memory issue..
Well , gl. If you don't find anything else helpful , try going with this method..
A friend of mine somehow bricked his grand 2 dunno what he did but it lead the phone to boot loop. It can't boot to recovery because all it says is No Command with a dead android and a red caution logo so I thought of going through odin. The phone boots to Download Mode but doesn't stay there it just reboots even if I hadn't pressed the volume down button. Even pressing the volume up button does the same thing.
Simply put it just does not go to download mode and continues boot looping and i've read everywhere and found no answer. I guess i'm the first to experience this? Anyone got any clue why this is happening?
Hi guys, I flashed cm-13.0-20160820-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO0J2-i9300.zip and everything worked fine BUT I did a factory reset from the system itself not from the recovery and since then my phone is stuck between samsung logo and twrp logo which appears only for a second or two and then back at samsung logo....I cant enter download or recovery mode, I cant turn my phone off, every time I put battery in it, it keeps looping. But I have noticed that when i connect it to my PC it just loops in samsung logo not between twrp and samsung. Help me please ASAP :crying::crying:
Do you have a USB jig to force download mode?
I dont have USB jig, is there any other options? My phone can get to that download mode by pressing buttons and it shows only for a second screen of download mode and then it goes back at looping....
Could be a power button problem?
Well I really dont know because I had removed the button before, it didnt work correctly and now I cant know is it up to button or the software ....
Guys, this is something I never seen before.
So, my wife's SM-G925F, original firmware, knox, all stock.
While video-calling her mother, some glitches appear on the screen. After that, another video call with my mom, again glitches. I advice her to restart the phone.
Than, BOOM! Screen is always black, except the first SAMSUNG Galaxy S6 edge - powered by android white logo.
The phone is starting, it enters the operating system, you can press the screen, you can feel the vibration feedback (i suppose on pin or maybe phone password), but you can see nothing.
I tried enter recovery mode, screen black. I don't know if it enters or not.
It enters download mode, so I tried the following:
1. root the phone
2. installing TWRP
3. flash latest original ROM via ODIN.
Nothing helped, same thing. I can see the phone in My Computer, but with no access to the files, Samsung Smart Switch recognizes the phone but I can't do anything because it's locked.
I've got no idea what to do next. I was thinking about clearing the cache partition, but don't know if it's possible through download mode.
Anyone else encountered this problem? Do you have any suggestion?
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks!

If the ODIN can not help you to fix this problem, try with this dr.fone - Repair. It can help to repair Android system issues easily.
What is this dr.fone **** asking for money... to flash some ROM??
Also, a little update here. It seems that I managed to boot the phone into TWRP, but with no image on screen. Via adb I managed to install a new custom ROM (SuperStock S8 Fast Lite For Galaxy S6 Stable G920F/G920FD/G925F), it boots up as I can hear the sound made by the volume buttons, but all with no image. I also erased dalvik cache via adb.
I'm starting to think that the phone is broken (like physically), but I can't understand why I see the first logo (white on black) and why I see download mode
the dr.fone is not free. If your phone is broken by physically, maybe you can not see the download mode.
Coming up here with a little update: it seems that if you don't try to start the phone a day or two, after that it works like nothing happened. Until you turn off the screen the first time, than you can not turn it on again, and it's doing the same thing, showing image only on first logo and in download mode.
This is really-really strange.
No one?

Here is a video can fix the Samsung Logo, boot loop, black screen and more error of Samsung S6 edge
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXSHe3oorIM
Hi,
my galaxy k zoom was booting in loop. After 3 reboots, the recovery mode menu appeared. I chosed to reboot the device. A few error messages appeared in red but I had the time to read. And since that moment, I've a blank screen. I'm unable to access the recovery mode. The combination of the keys doesn't do anything. Any idea anybody ? If only a can have a chance to go back to the recovery mode, I will know what to do next. But I'm stucked
Thanks in advance,
jc
maybe can flash firmware ?
Thanks for your response. In fact, I let this S3 aside for a few weeks and when I came back, I was able to log in again. This happened to me few months ago with this device. That's strange. Maybe a timeout somewhere or something happened when the battery was empty ?
Cheers
