Try dirty flashing the same ROM you are running.

Hello, I'm coming along with a wierd problem, I own a SII and flashed a couple roms, now I can't get weather on lockscreen or even change the position of time.
I've done everyting (fixing permissons, restoring stock firmware, flashing another ROMs and nothing works!
Does anyone know what's going on?
Please Help!
I don't think every rom has a lockscreen weather feature.
Or maybe it's just turned off.

Has anyone found a way to silence the t-mobile jingle during startup? I have tried renaming, moving, and deleting the following files using root explorer.
/system/customize/resource/T-Jingle.ogg
/system/customize/resource/T-Jingle.wav
/system/customize/resource/TMOUS_bootanimation.zip
/system/customize/resource/TMOUS_downanimation.zip
The files always come back after a restart.

Custom Rom i nthe HTC One sub forum or wait for someone to make a /system writable rom for the T-mo one.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231067
Try this kernel, it should work and it enables system write. Should be able to erase the boot sounds and stick on reboot..

Says for 1.28 version only. Tmo is 1.27
Ah didn't know about T-Mobile version number. I think I'll go ahead and try it later and let you know if it works. Someone used it on 1.29 and said it worked but that their WiFi may be slower. If it doesn't work I'll just restore.
Alright I flashed the kernel I linked to and everything seems to be fine. WiFi calling works, I guess I'll have to keep using it to be sure nothing is messed up.
Forgot to mention that you can delete/rename the boot sounds and it will stick.
Sorry guys one last time.. I can't hear sound on calls I guess it's not working right

I think that has to do with the problem that AT&T users are having with the RIL/Radio right now and non AT&T roms. Might be the same for T-Mo roms as well. It might be that you will jsut have to flash a International Rom or wait for someone to mod a T-Mo one.
Alright one more time XD I tried elemental x from the international and it works. I thought you were probably right with things conflicting but I guess it was just something with the first kernel I tried. Weird
Try Silent Boot app from Play store. I had success with it on HTC One S. Not sure, if its compatible with Jellybean.
startup sound is silent when phone was on vibrate or silent mode...but yes cant wait to get some custom roms going
kernel with system write

Hey grim, I'm confused on which kernel is elemental x?
I tried searching for it but I do not want to flash the wrong kernel to my M7 (t-mobile version)
I am rooted but need system write so I can change my keylayout and have it stay after reboot so..
After having the elemental x kernel for a few days are you saying you have 0 (zero) problems with it?
Sound is working on calls for you etc?
Did you lose anything/features at all?
You were still on 1.27 when you changed kernels and are you still on 1.27 after? (you did not upgrade to 1.28 or 1.29 etc.)
If all is well with the kernel, can you please link me to the elemental x kernel and the instructions you followed to get it installed?
Thanks for you help..
My soft keys stopped working on me out of the blue. So I setup lmt and pie and was able to use that for my back and home buttons. Well now that stopped working for no reason. I was on infection when this happened. I've tried clearing cache on lmt with no luck also tried another Rom with no luck either. Any ideas would be awesome. I have no clue what else to try. Thanks.

For your soft keys not working this is a mass majority issue on multiple (more than 100 i know that) htc rezounds as its just faulty hardware from manufacturer....ive always used ultimate dynamic navbar without an issue....clearing cache wont help you...just make sure you didnt flash anything with amon ra as this can cause bugs (use twrp), obviously make sure your rooted and flashed the rom/kernels properly and that you read the original posts (Main posts for that rom) thorouhly and read what is recommended especially for your current setup such as hboot and radios....some are a little out of date but give the best general idea plus i can always tell you whats up to date
My device is a local re-branded and enhanced Xolo a500s/it's like a karbon a5 a think. After successfully updated my device via OTA and after my device rebooted. My screen started to flicker randomly. My phone is not rooted and im still using the official stock rom. I found a temporarily solution by doing a Factory Reset, the flickering would be gone but it will come back after my phone screen goes off and on. Anyway to fix this?
I suspect that the new lockscreen bloatware system app that comes with the update causes this, but hey I only suspect it and i'm new to the android community. I can't disable it(googled already, and the only way to freeze/remove it is to root.) I can't root my device for something like a hunch. I'm waiting for a software update that would fix my device's touchscreen collide bug.
Appreciate all of your thoughts.
Try to start your phone in Safe Mode or try to start in Recovery (if your phone has available) and do a Factory Reset

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. I was able to disable the bloatware new systapp lock the came with it and it didn't solve the problem. I will try your method. Again thank you very much. I will check in later to post the result, hopefully this fixes it all
*edit
I successfully managed to boot in safe mode, the flickering has stopped but it return right after the screen goes back from sleep. Then I do a factory reset then after that the phone starts up and the result is still the same.
I will try the recovery mode though.
*edit
okay, i've managed to enter recovery menu. the one where you use the volume buttons to move. Is it really safe to select Wipe Data/Factory Reset there? Is that what you're prompting me to do in your post?

The results are still the same... your method do work yes. The flickering is gone after rebooting but as soon as you know press the power button and screen goes off then press the power button again and the screen turns on again from standby, the flickering returns.
Before doing some OTA updates my device is like v7 or v8 and now it's v9.1
and I didn't have any screen flickering problems before updating to v9.1 so I can safely assure that it's not in the hardware. It really just happened right after updating my device.
Another question, will installing a custom rom fix this software bug? But I really don't want to install those yet at the moment.
Any, Thank you very much. I really really really really appreciate it all man. I'm really at loss now. This is my first android phone that's why.

First of all try factory data reset.Secondly if it doesn't work try a custom rom(if you really want to)and check if the bug has gone.If it doesn't then there is something fault with your device

So the only is custom rom/original stock rom before update(which is impossible because I haven't backed up one before updating)
is the only solution eh.
The reason that I held back from installing a custom rom is because I'm waiting for the touchscreen bug fix for my device iva OTA. Will I still able to get it after installing a custom rom?
Again many thanks. Is there a way to give you a thanks on every posts?

If there is a way to restore back to your stock version or find a way to get back to stock version then yes .
If you had a Sony Device then you could restore it with SEUS.Now with a Xolo I really dont know.Ask to the specific device forum

Thanks a lot man. I've flashed a stock rom and my device got fixed from screen flickering. Really looks like a firmware bug. So I've just downgraded.
Again thanks a million
After migrating to a custom ROM (i tried both CM13 and Resurrection Remix) I seem to have corrupted some stock files that i can't reset. I can get back to TWRP no problem, but despite wiping every partition and installing a stock ROM--i still get crashes whenever i open the "Lock Screen Settings" in the Setting App I get the "unfortunately lock screen settings has stopped". All the stock restore files i seem to find are for MM, i just want to get back to LP.
The link from the other thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-v10/help/trying-to-revert-to-stock-t3276181 looks like it might solve my issue, but it doesn't work for me. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982086988331
Will happily bestow "Thanks!" on anyone who can help me get this resolved or for that matter tries. Thanks in advance for helping a wayward noob.

Since all the "stock" ROMs i found continued to have the problem, i ended up taking the plunge and using the method described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-v10/development/rom-v10h901v20estock-customized-t3360240 to migrate to Marshmallow with root. Worked like a charm! Only issue is it seems to have broke my Wifi Calling as i now get REG99 error. Overall a small price to pay, but if anyone has any thoughts would love to hear them.

I believe i used the newer of the part 2's---V10_H901_V20E_Stock_MM_P2-3.zip
Now that you brought it up i googled it and it looks like there's some known issues there. Is **P2-2.zip the correct one to use then? Can i go reload part 1 and the new part 2 in TWRP? The latest thread is like 50 pages so reading through it now. Sorry if this question is redundant.
