I installed the latest firmware CSGD and a new icon (triangle) showed up in my status bar. Tapping it does nothing and I can't find anything in settings that may control it. Curious what it represents.
That's Data Saver, you'll find that option under
Connections>Data Usage>Data Saver

Hello good people
I have a strange new icon in my status bar on my samsung galaxy s III nordic version,
since i cant post any pictures yet i`ll try to explain how it looks,
It`s to the top left, a grey square that have a pointy side to the left, and in the box, there is a black line
I have uninstalled all the apps that might put icons there but no luck even finding out what it is, I have searched through different forums, but can`t find out what it is for.
Would love some help?
It is not clickable?

Nope, nothing comes up when I slide the status bar down...
Turn notifications back on

I have the exact same icon on my Samsung Galaxy Note w/ ICS. I do not have a "Notifications" toggle, nor can I see where any of my notifications have been turned off.
Thoughts for me?

Ask in note forum?
My battery used to display the percentage up top. Now it doesn't. I can't find any setting. I'm in plain stock.
Its not letting me attach screenshots for you. Anyhow, go into system settings, General (tab), then Battery & Power saving.
In there, you should see an option called Battery Percentage on Status Bar. Turn tyat on and you should be good to go.

Hi, sorry for this other thread but I have many issues with this phone.
I have installed the app called Navbar Animations, the app works just installed, then after a few seconds it does not work anymore.
I get a notification of the android system where I am told that navbar animations is running in the background, but it does not work, there are no animations.
in the settings of my phone I set the running in the background and I authorized the app not to be subjected to the optimization of the battery.
when I turn the phone back on, it works for a moment and then no longer. the same thing happens sometimes after closing the apps in multitasking
I also asked the developer of the app that told me that it is a problem related to my phone and that he does not know how to help me.
could someone help me?
new Infos. when the phone is in charge the animations works fine....
it seems to me that the phone kill navbar animation in background (when not in charge of course)...

Maybe you should add app to protected apps.

Force the app to ignore battery optimisations.
Go to Settings/Apps & notifications/Apps
tap on Settings/Special access/Ignore battery optimisation and change your app to Allowed.

Go to Apps, find it and go to data usage and allow everything - background, data and wifi.
Then go to security and give administration and also check either accessibilities or notification and check apps with usage
Then go back to Apps and give it all permissions

Missed the most important part AOD. A lot has changed since the s7edge they give more customization but take away the previous, i think the lock screen change because of the new AOD themes in the samsung store. who knows..
Anyone found a solution to this? Even with Good Lock there is no way to remove it
Hi all, I'd like to know if there is some adb setting or app or mod that will let me remove the clock from the lock screen, preferably without rooting. (Samsung S10)

thx work great.
Clock still there?
I removed everything but the notifications, but when I lock my Galaxy S10 phone, the clock is still there. What am I missing?
(And the forum won't allow me to add a screenshot from my phone)

Hey, try going to settings, display, screen saver and setting it to 'none'.
I think I might have had this confusion when setting up my s10
Tried that already.

What you are talking about is the always on display. Which you can turn off from settings- lockscreen-always on display

If you are talking about clock on lockscreen not AOD just choose one of the clock and change colour to black one - last option of circle.
