anyone seen better, not ebay tho!
I don't want to be but am a bit suspicious of it...
Play.com are generally consdered okay, but I don't think there is such a thing as a MicroSD card that isn't SDHC - I know the specs on this product say that it is SDHC but where did they get that picture of a 4Gb MicroSD card that doesn't say SDHC on the case...?
As far as I can tell they've put up a pic which is not only of a different product but of a product that has never even been produced because it's physically impossible to make, i.e. a 'standard' 4Gb MicroSD.
I hate mock-up pictures when looking at buying something. Doesn't engender confidence when someone 'fakes' a pic of it rather than putting up a jpeg saying they haven't actually photographed the product yet.
didn't notice that, havent bought one myself, tho have 2 x 2gb cards that both come from play awhile back
Hi

Will this work with our Photons?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lexar-32GB-...1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1318161717&sr=1-1
The price isn't half bad plus it has free shipping. Also, class 10.
Interested if anyone's using one in their photons or anything similar (32gb class 10).
I have a class 6 16GB in mine. WOrks decently. From what I recall the higher the class the quicker it will work, etc etc. And I think for the most part an SD card is an SD card, so if the price is right, and you NEED that much room, get it.
yup. as long as card is genuine it should work.
Thanks guys. That's what I needed to hear!
and yes I do need that much space ^^

lexar has good quality products.
when you buy plz share your experience.
Haha. Cool Man. Let us know how it goes.

Be very carefully when buying these types of items from amazon.
I wanted a 32gb SD card also. Did a lot of web searching for the best price. Found a sandisk 32gb on amazon for about 30 bucks. I jumped all over it. When they arrrived 2 weeks later from China, it was pretty obvious that they were knock offs. The printed label on the card was missing the class information, and the SD adaptor that came with it had a label that was poorly placed. When I inserted the card, it showed the correct amount of memory, 27gb or thereabouts. But problems appeared when actually using the card. Music synced from comp would appear while still connected to comp, but would dissappear completely when disconnected, or appear, but have a 0 byte file size. When i took pictures, they would appear as green blocks when viewed with gallery.
Just make sure your buying from a reputable dealer.
Also, not sure of your location, but current exchange says that item is $65 US. I bought a 32gb, class 10 from best buy for the same price. So its not that good of a price. Though I can't seem to find one right now, they come and go.
the seller in the devilshadow'S link is amazon itself.
Further, Sandisk,Kingston and memorette has too many fakes.
Have not heard fake card of Lexar or PNY.

I'm in europe so the price is about 50ish Euros for me for the card I linked. Also, i am fully aware of the massive knockoff market when it comes to SD cards. It's part of the reason I chose amazon over Ebay. I've also made sure to check if the SD card i bought has the "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon.co.uk" status. The user reviews also guarantee it's genuine.
I bought mine straight from Lexar when they were first released. Ran it in the Evo and now in my Photon.
My first one started exhibiting corruption and eventually died (a few months before I got the Photon). Lexar replaced it with minimal hassle and it's been good to go since.

Lost my 16gb Card!!!
I have a missing 16gb that I was using, I lost it when I removed it to unlock my bootloader as a precaution.
Looking to get a 32gb card!!!
OK, I will say this one more time. #1, Not all cards are alike. I have a class 2 32Gb SanDisk that has treated me well, on Fuze, Evo, and Photon. I got a class 6 32Gb knock-off for the speed BUT, after we ran the test, my SanDisk blew it away by over 50% speed wise.
Next, I noticed by playing with others phones (Hey, I like to play with phones?), depending on what your doing, is different. For example, playing music or playing a game. Games, I found, need higher I/O than music.
I just bought a 32gb lexar class 10 for $60 at best buy. Im in canada right now. Future shop had a sale, they were sold out. I printed it out and best buy gave me the same deal. My advice is becareful online, there are lots fake cards. Look for sales from a reputable retailer.

Will our Photon support one of the new 64GB cards like this one?
http://amzn.com/B005VFG0B2
According to our phone's specifications, that is a firm "No".
Do NOT waste your money buying one, unless you have another device that can support it. It will not work on the Motorola Photon 4G, or the Motorola Electrify.
As far as I know the new Samsung Galaxy Note is the only phone out that supports that card.

How much more does the sdxc part cost vs the sdhc? I think we'll be good on the sdxc spec for a while, the size limit is 2TB.

U.S. sell, too. Not even the ones from China are this cheap. Scares me that he's a new user with no feedback but I figured it's worth the $12 gamble. I'll let you guys know what happens.

So much for my $12 gamble
We're writing to let you know that this listing for an item you won or bid on is no longer available:

We understand this may be disappointing, but occasionally we need to remove listings. In some cases, the item itself is fine, but was listed in a way that didn't follow eBay's guidelines.
Here's what you can do next:
-- If you already paid, received your item, and you're satisfied, please disregard this notice.
-- If you won the item but haven't paid, don't pay. Since eBay removed the listing, you're no longer obligated to go through with the transaction.

If the seller offers you the item outside of eBay, we strongly discourage you from accepting the offer. These types of transactions are extremely risky and aren't covered by eBay buyer protection programs.
If you didn't pay through eBay or PayPal, and:

That's comedy!
Boy do I feel like a n00b . . . usually check that stuff before doing something dumb like this. Oh well . . . already got my claim filed. Fun while it lasted
Do NOT buy flash on Ebay. You will get ripped off.
I'm not sure if there's another device in existence that is faked this much.

It's SD not micro SD which means it's too big to fit in the Note.
Should work great for most digital cameras though

Yes the problem with that one is that its not a micro SD card.

That was an obvious case of "Too good to be true..."
More often than not, scammers will sell stuff way below market value, since it usually gives them a better chance to run off with the cash.
As for the actual 32GB microSD, nowadays they gotten cheaper to within the $30-40 range (depending on their class of course).
From what I found on Amazon, I think I may settle for a Transcend one instead of Sandisk. Only because I have a few of those USB thumbdrives that have been reliable overall.

WHOA, tx for the heads up bori i almost wasted my $.
i'm trying to find the best quality, 32gb micro sd with the fastest speeds.
Sandisk Mobile Ultra 32gb microsdhc for $58.95!!
Best deal I could find anywhere for these cards! B&H Photo Video..$58.95 for the Sandisk 32gb ultra microsdhc, free shipping (snail mail). These cards are rated class 6 but outperform most class 10 cards on the market. Great purchase from a reputable seller.
Do you guys understand that getting a class 10 MicroSDHC card for cell phones is about as pointless as putting 94 Octane gas in a Prius? You will not experience any performance gains going from a Class 4 to a Class 10.
I would suggest that you guys go to Newegg and get a class 4 for around $30. You'll save $ and you'll be getting it from a reputable vendor.
Also to the OP remember the old adage, if it looks to good to be true it probably is.
even for 1080p video recording?

I've scoured the internet looking for performance benchmarks and I have not read one review that claimed class 10 cards out perform class 4 cards in any benchmark. Whether it be 720p, 1080p recordings, read & write speeds, etc.
i am new to this microsd thing. but i been doing Search'es on the forums here about the different classes. from that i'll now be getting a Class 6 instead of a 10.
Guys be very careful of the Micro SD cards you buy off of eBay and Craigslist. I can confidently say that more than half of them are probably fake. I recently bought one off of eBay for a 40 bucks and it was a 64 gb Micro Sd Card. I put it in my phone and noticed that it kept unmounting on me and had atrociously slow data transfer/read rates. Also pictures would not save onto it and the ones that did save would not open after. Upon further inspection and thanks to this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXuxOnHgs0c , I found that the one I bought on eBay was fake and demanded a return right away. So just watch out. You can also use this program to detect counterfeit or real by testing the specs of the storage unit you bought: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/H2testw.shtml
You're better off buying them locally or from reputable online shops.
If you have a MicroCenter close to you, they usually have good prices on flash memory. Only downside is they only go up to 32GB class 10 micro SD cards as of my last visit a couple weeks ago.
craigslist???
i would never
I think that goes without saying. Some things you should just buy from a shop ...... real shop
These things aren't expensive, I don't know why you'd buy them second hand after spending the money on a new flagship phone. I've always bought Sandisk cards from actual camera shops like B&H and Adorama and have never had a problem.
When I'm shopping online I only trust one site for my electronic needs and that's Amazon. And when I'm shopping on Amazon I don't buy from any seller in China. I stick with Amazon fulfillment(aka Prime, ships directly from amazon warehouse) or a trusted seller
If your going to spend $40 just go to Amazon or Best Buy. Actually Amazon has a sale on SD cards. Save yourself like $20

If you're going to buy anything online electronics based stick with reputable retailers. Amazon is great, newegg and microcenter are good as well. Ebay, craigslist, etc can be such a gamble when it comes to electronics it's really not worth it, if it looks too good to be true it usually is.
Best Buy will pricematch Amazon prices if you don't mind paying tax. But stick to reputable stores.
Newegg or Micro Center if there's one near you
We have Best Buy and Frys here in Houston, for accessories I'll go try them at Best Buy and then buy it off Amazon or newegg. Frys, while it's great for electronics and computer parts, has a horrible selection of phone accessories. There's one micro center here but it's way too far from my side of town.

I got burned once before
I bought a 32Gb from ebay auction for $11. It had similar problems. Would save files to it, but kept umounting and would dump all the files on it to lost.dir. They all had broken file extensions and the filenames were garbled. I since just play it safe and stick to sandisk sd cards from amazon.
ebay sd cards
yes same thing to me, a lot of problems and it died after a month or so. Dont go for cheap sd cards on ebay
The Extreme cards are mega expensive, but from time to time my local BB has incredible sales on them. Watch the site. I actually check every couple of days for the sales as I tend to buy things I might not need now, but will appreciate someday, lol.

Has anyone found any Black Friday deals on 128GB microSD cards?
Haven't seen anything on 128gb cards, but I bought 64gb cards on Amazon for $19.99 each.
Picked up a 64GB PNY from Amazon to replace the second 64GB Sandisk card to develop "write-lock" / unformatable syndrom on me. So far definitely so good as the read / write speeds on this card are fantastic. I forget the speed stated in the description, but it was the reason that I chose that one over a Samsung EVO for pretty much the same price. Glad I did (so far)
I can't wait until 128GB cards fall into line with the prices of lower capacity cards (1 X 128GB < 2 X 64GB). Soon hopefully... haven't seen one cheaper than $100.
Drives that you can find great deals on however are the regular USB (2 or 3) connecter on one side and a micro USB connecter on the other. I've had a 32GB and a 64GB (the latter USB 3) for a while, but I just grabbed a 128GB for $40 :good: I freaking love these drives. There's not really a difference in price between there and regular USB 3 flash drives... why not get one that you can easily use in your phone as well as your PC sans any adapters, and as far as phone use goes: one of the fastest ways to transfer large files from PC to phone, perfect for media - particularly hi res video if you want to watch a movie or something on your phone, and the killer feature: can be mounted in TWRP! No more realizing I forgot to DL or whatever a file I want to flash mid-nandroid, long reboot rebuilding caches, reboot recovery again... just toss it on the drive and flash from or even nandroid to the drive! Crazy useful
I did pick up a samsung 32GB for 10.99 yesterday at bestbuy
I went with the Tiger Direct 64gb. I only trust Samsung cards as I've had headaches with other brands in the past.
Now until Tues Amazon has the 64GB EVO for $25.
Where did you find the 128gb?

Yeah I always fall victim for the $20 "most of these cards work but not all of them". they're always a scam. If in doubt, read the feedback

I ended up with one of these from ebay a year ago or so, you can spot it easily by the packaging (as if the price wasn't already a red flag) Sadly you probably won't realize it until after you've begun copying files to it! To be safe, I always format (FULL format, NOT quick-format!) my sd cards before use!
Stick to brands you've heard of (as @sloanster stated), and as others on the thread have, pay attention to the reviews :good:
With Christmas only a couple days away, I'm sure plenty of people will be hunting for microSD cards very soon (as am I) so if anyone comes across any sweet deals please share!

Actually total 32gb is enough for everything
I ended up buying two of this and so far no issues.. both has been formatted and read at 128gb each.. i did some testing and the result is pretty good comoare to my 64gb ultra sandisk..
