Hey, guys. I have 2 nice news for you guys. The hdmi output was solved. It's 100% working with a USB type c to hdmi. You check my another post for more information.
After I connected Reno 10x zoom with my TV it's only mirroring the phone. This device does not have any desktop mode like Samsung or Huawei. Later I found out there is a very nice free launcher can do the work. Which can gives reno 10x zoom a MacBook like experience device. You can download it from Google Play Store. It's called Leena Desktop UI (Multiwindow).

I thought I'd put my old Nexus 4 to use as a converged Ubuntu Touch device attached to my TV. So I flashed the stable channel and hooked it up with a slimport and it all looked great. The only thing is that any time I launch the browser it opens the window but it closes before drawing any content in the window. This happens with Desktop Mode on or off but only when I'm attached to an external display. I can use the browser with no problems on the phone display.
This is a real showstopper for me because the browser is used for lots of other apps and for account signins etc.
I'm hoping someone has a fix or a workaround?

Though Reno 10 X has wi fi direct, multi screen interaction and DLNA it was not detecting my TV powered by Mi BOX3. I have tried many screen mirroring apps but nothing worked perfectly. With few apps able to mirror but not able to see amazon prime.
Searched on different forums and found a work around. Download Google Home app. Under Account look for additional settings and Mirror device option. Vola, now able to mirror the screen. Its a pity that for a expensive phone, screen mirroring is not straight forward. I had no issues with three year old Xiaomi phones for mirroring.
Hope this issue be addressed in the next software update.
I have no issues with my Fire TV Stick. It's readily available in multi screen option of Reno 10x. Working without lag. No separate application is required for screen mirroring.

Hi guys the power of this phone is insane. I wws wondering if there is any viable way to use it like a semi-pc on a monitor with mouse and keyboard for simple tasks like web browsing/word/excel/powerpoint... Any way to achieve this maybe with the help of a chrome cast or something?
I've no clue what it does, but there's a "force desktop mode" setting in Developer Options. XDA had an article on it here
It sort of works, but don't expect any miracles. It's very buggy At this point the huawei desktop mode or the samsung dex way better. You can find some guides on youtube and internet. I've tried it on my Oneplus 7T pro, but I dont think I am going back anytime soon.
There's an app called Flow Desktop that enhances the desktop mode quite a bit compared to the "standard" Google Desktop mode but it is still far from Dex and Huawei.
It is work in progress and the developer uses a 7T Pro as his main dev device. You can preview it for 2 minutes and purchase a license à 2.79€ to get the full version. It's on the Play Store.

I've recently purchased a webcam to use it as my primary video source while in class, using blackboard on chrome or zoom or meet apps, but it doesn't work as I espected...
I'm using my Samsung Galaxy S9+ with Samsung DeX pad, and when I connect the webcam it isn't available for any apps but "USB Camera" app... Obviously I want to use it to video conferences, and not to take photos on a single app...
What can I do?
I was thinking about some sort of crack, maybe, installed by ADB rooting my phone, but I cannot find any solution on the web...
