Hello everyone!
I've recently purchased a webcam to use it as my primary video source while in class, using blackboard on chrome or zoom or meet apps, but it doesn't work as I espected...
I'm using my Samsung Galaxy S9+ with Samsung DeX pad, and when I connect the webcam it isn't available for any apps but "USB Camera" app... Obviously I want to use it to video conferences, and not to take photos on a single app...
What can I do?
I was thinking about some sort of crack, maybe, installed by ADB rooting my phone, but I cannot find any solution on the web...
Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for the best software for streaming audio/video from android to android, t his question is 2 fold.
1 I would like to use my old POS zte racer android device with a resistive screen and 3.2mpxl camera as a video monitor in my babies room, over wifi hopefully
2 I would like to duct tape an old android device to the front of my RC monster truck and drive it through an apple store... on fire. Over 3G or perhaps wifi hotspot from my good phone, shared with the duct taped bumperdroid.
IP Camera app?
Whilst it is not a bespoke android to android solution one option available to you would be to an install an ip camera app on the POS device and simply view its feed via the browser of your good phone. I have had good success using this system monitoring a cat with a zte blade as the camera.
I would recommend the app IP Camera for the POS
(I would post a link but 1st post)
There is also a supported viewer app for your good phone although I personally just used the browser. Tiny cam monitor
One thing to highlight is with this solution you could also view the feed on a bigger screen such as a tablet / laptop etc.
"IP camera" seems to work well, I wonder if it will be stable enough
hw abt "JUSTIN" ?

Justin seems to be more of a broadcast system than a surveillance system, though I appreciate the thought and I think I could use that for something else, the IP camera app managed to run the entire weekend straight and it still going, and it provides authentication and live streaming to VLC that I can bring up on my TV and computers as well, ultimate baby monitor
Can you use the Front camera (or rear) of the SGS2 as a webcam recognised internally to the phone? So not via USB to a PC.
I have a pc setup to stream product demonstrations for a class via a web page. Its not needed all the time, so instead of a dedicated pc. I’d rather have it via the phone as needed.
Yes, there are apps in the Play sore that do what you want. Just search for "webcam"

EpocCam works really well. Give it a shot.
Good luck!
ah cheers guys. but not quite what im after.
I should have explained it more.
We have a flash based web site thats streams the classes. i would normally log in via laptop and click on start demo and it will activate my laptops (or external) webcam and stream that image. If i log into the same site via opera on my sgs2 , it says it can not find a webcam on my phone.
So is there a way to send the request for a webcam to the sgs2 camera?
I don't think so mate. I haven't come across anything like that so far, so sorry, can't be of much help here.

Does anyone knows a app to use on an Android phone to use it like a webcam with quality?
I had a Nokia N8 (Symbian), and I had two apps that made the N8 a [email protected] webcam
But now I have a S4 4G (I9505) and after some days searching and testing apps, I still didn't found any app that could go higher than 720x480 and all of them get horrible FPS (like less than 15)
It can be by wireless or USB, both work for me, I just want it to be at least [email protected]
Am I allowed to bump? it was alreadly on 5th page with no reply :/
I know there's a way to turn your phone into a webcam using an app like IP Camera, however it seems like my phone only shows up as an available cam when using a chat program like skype etc.
It won't show up in any of the video editing software like Windows Movie Maker, the only available webcam that's available is my computer's built in one.
I have no interest in using my phone as a webcam, I'm wanting to make videos with my phone while it's connected to my computer and have the video appear on my computer's screen simultaneously, is this possible?
Your probably wondering why I don't just record the videos on my phone and transfer it to my computer...because I'd like to see myself on my computer screen as I'm recording a video for things like proper placement and lighting etc.
Thanks

You mean just use the camera on phone, or connect it to computer and then use it on your computer?

Connect it to my computer and then using it to record my videos on my computer. IP Camera won't let me do that it seems.
hi everybody, I need to use an external webcam on android device (android stick mk809III)
I use a logitech c270 (which I read is compatible as someone is using it), but the image is too dark (almost -2EV)
is there a way to tweak the signal in order to achieve this lost exposure in every app like camera and skype?
I tried on my samsung galaxy s5 and is correctly working...
thanks
