Hi everyone, I have the mate 20 pro and I think like others I noticed that if you use third party applications to activate bluetooth, a box appears with the confirmation to perform this operation.
I use automation apps to activate bluetooth while I am driving, but the appearance of this window makes such automation useless.
Is there a way to circumvent this request?
Thanks in advance
I am using tasker and have never seen the confirmation box...
Also with Tasker i have this window...

Wouldn't it be easier to turn on Bluetooth 24/7? The battery consumption is minimal.

One of the points I picked up from the official unveiling of the phone was that if the phone was off, and you called to it using one of the 5 nicknames, the phone would wake up and be ready for voice commands. I haven't seen this demoed in any of the videos on YouTube.
Can anyone with the phone please confirm if this is actually possible?
It is.
There's also an option to only have it active while the phone is plugged in (So it doesn't use up all your battery on listening for you)

Fantastic, thanks for clarifying.
I envisage myself using this whilst in car for example. So I can set-up a tasker profile to say that if the phone if moving at 10mph+ then activate the sleep voice mode, so I can talk to the phone whilst driving to do the dirty work, lol
p.s. do you have the phone? If so could you make a quick video showing this off?

I don't have it unfortunately
I just got the information from one of the S-Voice threads/news articles where they discussed it.

That sounds a brilliant way to use it, my understanding is that it will use a lot of battery if its on all the time, waiting and listening. Only time I would use it with no hands is, as you say in car.
I use AutomateIT Pro, but having bother with the app at the moment on my XE with it not activating screen lock
I want to use it when I wake up in the morning!
Good morning, Galaxy... What's the weather going to be like today? Any meetings? What's new? What should I make for breakfast? Etc...

I've seen it in YouTube videos but the person pressed the power button first to wake the screen. But I don't think you need to do that. On top of that, you can customize the way you wake up the S3. So instead of saying " hi Galaxy" you can say " who's your daddy?"
From what i have read that is not possible, but rather u have to press power button first before saying " hi galaxy". Will try to find article about it.

Yeah i found my source again and all it say is that the application says it may use up battery, which i of course assumed to be since it would have to be listening in sleep mode.
When it's not in sleep mode there's not much of a power draw to speak of that isn't already being drawn
So yeah, i'm not so sure anymore.
I have the Phone, its only listening on the lock screen (when you dont have any security) and on the s voice app. Pretty disappointing in that aspect

I have an S3 too and yes, there is no such option.
S Voice listens to your command only on the Lock Screen or when you have started the S Voice app yourself.
You can't even say Hi Galaxy in the browser and expect it to open.
Sucks but I don't use it anyways :|
now this may be a dumb question since i don't consider myself new to android, i've changed three android tablets so far, rooted my phone, installed and tweaked dozen of roms on it, so i know some relativelly average things about android, but this one puzzles me:
on both my tablet and phone i have facebook and gmail applications. they are basically the same .apks since i have a backup of them on a sd card and if i format one device, i often use restire the apps from the sd card.
and you know how you get an instant notification on your phone if you receive a fb message or an e-mail? that doesn't happen on my tablet. it seems that a couple of minutes after i turn off the display on my tablet, it drops the wifi connection (a power save thing i suppose).
is there any way to ensure a constant wifi connection on my tablet so that i receive email/fb notifications in real time and just not after i turn the display on?
this may be only an unchecked box in my network settings, but i really haven't noticed it
thanks for your help on advance

Go to Settings > Wireless & network settings > Press Menu > Advanced, and change Wi-Fi sleep policy to Never (or Never when plugged in, to avoid drain your battery)
thank you! i'll try to keep it turned on constantly, and see what the battery drain will be

noup... i gave up after a few days... the battery drain is too big... even when it's pluged in, the charging process takes a lot since i'm almost constantly using it, in such a case, it almost doesn't charge

Have u tried using tasker?
U can use that app to like turn on Wi-Fi every half hour for a minute or so to check for notifications, and then turn off.
All automated
no, but that's an excellent idea! thank you for the suggestion! will install it and give it a try
Sent from my PMP5570C using Tapatalk HD
hey... i need help with tasker... i seem to have programmed it to connect to wifi every 30 minutes, to check facebook, gmail and tapatalk, and the profile is on, according to on/off switch in tasker itself. but when i check notification icon, it says "no active" profiles.
also, i would like to write you how my profile looks like, but i don't know how i realize that tasker is a powerful app, with a lot of options, but they seem so complicated when trying to adjust them. :/
Sent from my PMP5570C using Tapatalk HD
Hmm...first try installing tasker as a system app and see if that fixes it. Also check accessibility settings as it may be listed there.
If the above doesn't work then it may be a problem with your profile.

well the problem with your first solution is that my tablet isn't roited so i can't install tasker in system/app, the other is that it might be a problem with my profile, but i realy don't know how to set it up... i mean, i tried, and i think it's good, but it doesn't have to be good. that's why i needed help in the first place

Hi there,
my huawei is not compatible with the samsung gear s3.
Any help?
Hey tripple X man. They are lying, as always, everything is compatible, my Mate 10 works perfectly fine with my Samsung Gear S3. I downloaded Samsung Gear and S plugin from https://www_apkmirror_com/apk/samsu...msung-gear-2-2-17022862-android-apk-download/, installed both an everything is OK. Hope it works for you too.
i can confirm too my pro 10 works with my S3
So my gear fit 2 but with 127 firmware i don't get the calls.
With 115 everything is fine!!!!!!
Can you guys browse your phone to buy a watch face?it just freezes on me everytime I try and browse
Mine is working as well. I had to turn off automatic power management of all gear related apps to make sure the system doesn't kill the app in background. Now it works like charm...
With my Gear s3 connected to my Mate 10 Pro the battery on my mate drains really fast. Like 15% during the night (7 hours)
If I uninstall Gear S Plugin, Samsung Health and Samsung Gear battery is normal again. 1% down during the night
Anyone else with battery drain problem while running Gear apps on their phone?

I had Bluetooth issues with my Xiaomi smart watch. Constantly disconnected. I think it's the aggressive ram management system. Had to return it
I am having trouble receiving notifications with what's history and notification wear apps.
I only receive messages when my phone screen is on.
I then noticed that when I open up what Bluetooth devices I gave paired, select S3 I see that input device is not selected. But it won't let me select it.
Could this be the reason? If so, how to rectify it?

So i have a problem with my Suunto smartwatch. It always disconnects from bluetooth after a while. I use Movescount app for it and it disconnects. Any ideas? I tried to make it not close, and exclude from battery saving options.
Have something similar but with huawei band watch.
It gets disconnected, likewise I have made the watch band app keep active in background, I have not set up any battery customisation etc to run. Yet still gets disconnected.

You can try adding this program to the protection program.
Go to Settings > System > About phone or Settings > About phone to check the EMUI version of your phone. If the version is EMUI 8.0 or later, perform the following steps:
1.Go to Settings > Battery > Launch to find the app for the wearable device, and disable all Manage all automatically switches. On the Manage manually screen, enable all three switches: Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background.
2.Open the app for the wearable device, then touch the Recent key or swipe on the Home key to display the recent tasks screen. Find the wearable app, and touch the Lock icon on the top to lock the app.
Note: Make sure you are using the correct app for your wearable. For example, if you are using a Huawei Watch, select the Wear OS app.
This settings solved my problem.
Using Garmin Fenix 3

Hi, I use Garmin fenix with Garmin Connect and in my case the solution above doesn't work. Fenix is diconnecting and don't connect again. With P20 Pro it was working perfect. Any idea?
I had a Ticwatch E before switching to the mix 3 but using it on the mix 3 now I've had so many connectivity issues. Sometimes I'd get notifications and then sometimes the watch would disconnect, just wondering if anyone is using a smart watch that doesn't have these issues or if this is just an issue with the mix 3 and ticwatches.
Thanks
My moto 360 1st gen has also some issues.

No problems at all here with a Huawei Watch 2 Classic
Amazfit Pace and no problem
Dont know what happens but now All Apps works and the notification grafics are now perfekt again. No more Problems with transpatency

I had some connection issues as well.
I figured out that it only loses connection when I kill all apps and so i tinkered with a few settings:
- disable power-saving for wear OS app
- enable auto start for wear OS
It still loses the connection if you kill all apps but reconnects as soon as you check your watch.
It never loses the connection if I don't kill apps (anymore?).
Hope that helps!

Open recent apps, long press Wear OS app, and tap on the lock, now, even if you kill all apps, Wear OS won't be killed

True, but than you have to open the app in general while it is never actively opened otherwise.
Same thing with automatic started music that gets killed, even when you don't have your player open.
I've got the Galaxy Watch (46mm) and I am able to use it but with a caveat; if you unlock the bootloader you MUST root with Magisk in order to hide the fact that the bootloader is unlocked. Otherwise, the Galaxy Wear app and Samsung Pay with not even open, and you won't be able to connect the Galaxy Watch to your phone. If you keep the bootloader locked and don't want root access, it works normally.
I have a Gear 2 I flashed with Android Wear and it's been working perfectly.
My Watch GT doesn't automatically reconnect after I go out of Bluetooth range.
I've whitelisted all apps from the MIUI battery saver and granted all permissions.
I have also LOCKED the Huawei Health app to stop the system from closing it.
Once Bluetooth has disconnected, The ONLY way to get the watch to reconnect, is by opening Huawei Health or toggling the phone's Bluetooth off & on.
Unsure if it's the Huawei Health app or MIUI that is at fault.
Very frustrating.
Also using a Galaxy Watch (46mm) and it works great for the most part. You do have to root with Magisk to hide the unlocked bootloader (if you unlocked it). Other than that, for some reason I lose notifications on the watch almost every time I reboot the phone or put it in battery saver/extreme battery saver. This has something to do with the way MIUI handles notification access and is very annoying since the only way to fix it is to disconnect the watch from your phone (as in unlink it which wipes the watch NOT just turn off bluetooth), uninstall the Galaxy Wearable app completely, reboot, then re-install the Galaxy Wearable app, reconnect the watch, and restore my backed up data to the watch. It only takes a few minutes now that I know exactly what fixes it but it is really annoying that I avoid using battery saver and rebooting just to not have to deal with uninstalling and reinstalling the watch. If anyone has any better fix for this please let me know lol.
Does anyone use a FitBit? My wife bought a FitBit Versa and it constantly shows and error about the notifications not being available. She has to constantly reboot the phone to get notifications working correctly.

I bought the FitBit Versa and had to return it due to notifications never working, even with all battery saving options disabled it just didn't work. Picked up the Galaxy Watch Active instead and that works perfectly, I'd recommend it instead if you still have the option of returning the FitBit. Used it with MIUI at first which worked perfectly after disabling the battery saving features.
I'm now rooted with Pixel Experience, had to download an older version of Samsung Pay to get it to work without detecting root and it's working great on that too.
