There are certain Chess apps that drain so much battery, try switching to another chess app

Hi guys,
I'm using GingerMod v0.3 with the default kernel (ninphetamine 2.1.3).
My battery was at 100% when i went to sleep. After about 8 hours when i woke up, it dropped to 92%. Is that normal?
I have turned off automatic sync as well as gps. Even "Back up my data" and "Automatic restore" was off. Display was at a minimum 3%. Most of the battery % was used up by Android OS.
given the percentage of the draining 8% over 8 hours i quess is pretty good. I quess different rom + kernel produce different effects. Yours is considered ok.
ya the drain is quite normal

1% an hour during sleep mode is considered good? i had the impression that it would only drop 3-4% during sleep.

More than good I'd say. And you never can have a constant rate, one night it will be 3-4%, other night it will be 9-10%, depends on the processes running at that period. If you have Better Battery Stats installed then you will be able to see what had cost that extra drainage under Partial Wakelocks section.
I normally have 3-4% drain in an overnight period of 8-9 hours, but yesterday it was 15%. Then I saw it was Camera360 Ultimate which was running and searching for GPS!
Regards.
That's about similar to what i get on standby with data enabled so yeah good battery there/
Thats good ? Mine drops 1 percent overnight (+-10 hours) with original battery Or stays at 100 until morning when I wake up with 2000mah bat... Data and wifi turned off.
But I presume thats just me being battery friendly user
I tried better battery stats and it seems the Email app is consuming the most resources during sleep. hmm...
Why my battery drains so fast after I charge it to 100%?
Battery lowers very fast even when screen is off with no wakelock.

It was definively not hot, 16 degree celsius. I don't think battery is not calibrated because I never changed rom.

Are you sure? I don't see a wekelock from chome, I neither see it in the battery stats.
When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.

Can you Please share the usage Graph of your Device ?
Mine drains around 5-6% at night in standby! Its more than average considering the large 5000mah battery
Greenify / Freezing / disabling Google play services, or going nogapps improves battery life x10 times. In other cases, frustrate the app by denying it all permissions, so that it force closes every time it launches automatically (wakelock and drain prevented). Its an analogy to tying a runners shoelaces.....can't run, can't consume battery.
There are how many updates come till now for this phone? Please someone confirms it.
Draining issue is high.

Use your phone till it becomes 0% and let it shut down Now press power button for 30 secs and make sure no battery is left to reboot the phone
Charge your phone till 100% with phone turned on/off (but don't use the phone while charging)
After 100% remove from charging and start normal usage till it becomes 0% again and now repeat same procedure 3-4times
Contact Asus CC they might provide better solution for your device after checking device details

Yeah, custom roms are highly optimized though it's unofficial right now I didn't think it would be this good. Well I'm on stock rom still and use greenify which does help a bit, the drain was 4% in 8 and a half hour.
the problem is on the apps that consumes power and data like facebook, instagram and some other similiar apps.
possible fix is disable them. and use fb instag by chrome. it makes the ram usage a bit less because the app wont use ram but "move" the ram usage to chrome.
ideal drain is more, after update and a bug also found Sim 1 hd capable.
I've noticed that my used ram is always above 2.0 gb. I wonder what's running in background consuming this much ram ?, this also might be the root cause of ideal drain I guess.
Hi,
yesterday I did a test running(gps) for 20 min listening music (bluetooth) and I had a battery drain about 10%.
With this consumption a full charge will last only 3 hours and 20 minutes.
This is good?

Yes, around 20% at hour.
Chrome and WhatsApp are consuming too much battery because of background running. Chrome is consuming approx 30% and WhatsApp approx 15% of total battery consumption. How to fix ? Oppo does not allow to disable/uninstall Chrome.
Chinese version is coming without Chrome thank god...
There is already a How To regarding uninstalling apps.

But Chinese versions have notifications issues. Which is very sad.
How is everyone’s idle drain? I unplugged at midnight and connnected to WiFi and woke up at 8am with 92%. Is this good because My iPhone is still at 100.

Terrible!
Unplugged mine 25 minutes ago at 100%, it's now 97% - I haven't even turned it on until now.

Good to know im not the only one. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future update.:crying:
Always-on display murdered battery life for me. Turning it off gives excellent battery life. Strange and hopefully fixable in a patch, Oppo have had AOD before so this shouldn't be the case.
30 minutes this morning to charge from 46% to 66% - so much for fast charge!
Took it back to the shop, picking up a replacement tomorrow......
