Hi all,
due to I want to give my P20 Lite to my daughter, I want to set it back to stock (incl. Root, Recovery and Bootloader). Currently I have TWRP-Recovery, Root via Magisk and an unlocked bootloader (i opened it before Huawei closed the official way). I also want to go to stock because no OTA is possible and Google Pay doesn't work, even with Magisk Hide.
Could someone please help me with a little guide or links?

Hm, I think you don't need to relock bootloader. Actually, I don't understand, why Google pay isn't working , are you using custom ROM? Or maybe I just isn't using it..
If so, you need to be able to restore stock using erecovery , and all need to be fine after ,maybe need to format data/cache.
Give a try with erecovery , download and install firmware there
I'm not using Google pay, but, maybe it will work with magisk root if you in settings hide magisk manager application, and in magisk hide click all Google applications . At least some bank applications started to work for me after.
Short Update:
eRecovery worked fine, iam now on a clean Android 9. I also want to relock the Bootloader, but unfortunately I cant find the bootloader code, which I used a year ago for unlocking the bootloader. Any idea how to get the code (without paying money)?

Yes, I am successful in rooting dapeng i9877 following Colonelzap instructions.
Plus, I was able to use Link2sd to link apps. Must use Ext2. It won't recognize Ext3(just let everyone knows).

I have this phone and I dont have many complaints. I sold my Blu Studio 5.3 to buy this one. For a non contract phone its awesome. Do I want a GS3 YES but I dont want the contract with ATT or who ever. So I have their prepaid service, unlimited everything and 1gb of data for $50 a month. AND early next year when the new china phone comes out I will grab that one. I really like the freedom of switching phones.
I do wish I could find a rom now that I am rooted but that may not ever happen.

hy, i think i bricked my phone, now it doesnt show anything, have some one got original firmware?

I also followed the tutorial, but now my phone is soft bricked. It flashes up the logo and then just keeps rebooting. I need to find some firmware for this device. Any help would be great. I would hate to send the phone off to china and pay for them do it, when I have the tools here to do it, but just need the image.

I found an IMAGE to sort out the phone for now and it works. The only thing is that you have to change the language back to English or whatever you wish. The LED flash light does not work now, but that's fine. At least it's booting back up now. Everything else works and there's Root, and other tools that come with the ROM.
I used SP Flash with the normal scatter file that comes with SP flash for MTK6577 chipset and hotlinked the files from this archive.
I contacted my seller to see if he can sort me out with a untouched original ROM that's on the device when it comes from the factory.

I followed this guide and it worked but the su permissions seems to be wrong
I have to run titanium backup to fix it every time I boot the phone
it complains about wrong su permissions and it fixes them
...do you know why?

I finally brick my phone . I was trying to root my phone but...
I am having the same problem with yours.It flashes up the logo and then just keeps rebooting.
I did follow your steps and download the files from the link you gave but when I'm starting SP Flash Tool cant fill up all the files with the locations.Some of them are missing.
Can you please make a tutorial or tell me what I have to do? I have no cellphone now

if I could, but not how.
the recovery (power + vol down). it's all in Chinese. the truth I have fear of doing something wrong. if someone translates all the recovery, I loved climbing the rom.
or save someone I have to do, I do enchanted
you can use MTKdroidtools and connect the phone to the PC without using the recovery

I have been searching for a sure and easy method but to no avail I can't follow the thread coz it's too long :laugh: I guess I just have to wait till bina4ry release a new one covering this device

I felt like you until friday when I rooted my phone finally. At least you can find your phone in the forum whereas mine doesn´t exist!!!

you just need to flash a SGP511 (same model as yours) 23.5.A.0.575 kernel over your stock rom, using flashtool
then download my script and run, it will boot into TWRP recovery automatically and you will be able to install SuperSU to root your device
after rooting, you can flash 23.5.A.1.291 again

Hello guys,
I'm a total beginner about ROMs, Recovery, Download, Fast-boot, etc. I don't really understand these things. In the past I did put TWRP Recovery in my phone to root my phone with a file that I flashed.
Yesterday, my Honor 7 proposed me to do the update to Android 6.0 (with several years delay ). I downloaded the OTA, then i clicked on install and then my phone was bootlooping on a chinese TWRP Recovery by Cofface. There was an "update.zip" file that i tried to flash but it did an error, maybe i should have better extracted it ?
I asked for help a friend and he told me to flash a new TWRP with fastboot and ADB and all these things I don't understand and I did it, and it worked.
Now, I have the 5.0.2 ROM Factory New from the Honor 7, what should I do ? I really want to update to 6.0 or even 7.0 if possible, should i flash a ROM ? My phone is asking again for the OTA to 6.0 but I'm a bit scared because it downloads a "update.zip" file and I don't know what to do with.
If you could help me guys, it would be awesome, I'm a total beginner.

I know this aint what your asking for BUT if you have a custom recovery you could backup what it is to an sdcard for of what it is needing from the firmware maybe. or if its to fix your phone, i know that if your systems gone bad, This device ( atu-l22 ) which of what i has is able to download the firmware for you even if your phone doesnt have a system installed on it..

( Atu-L22 ) ive been trying for a very long time, i have Unlocked bootloader & Magisk rooted device. Much experience with doing stuff to phone systems BUT then it comes to huawei which is muc different for ME to what samsung and other androids are? i just need help installing custom roms, im currently about to delete my system from my phone which ive backed up, and am about to have it reinstalled from that Erecovery thingy which our device offers, then imma fix/ unlock the vendor type thingy thru HCU Client and see if that helps?
