Location of downloaded files from app - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I'm using app for meditating called Headspace. It has audio packs for certain theme of meditating, like for example session called "sleep" which consists of 10 audio lessons which all can be downloaded in advance and then listened offline
Problem is that i can't find where is the physical location on the phone in which app downloads those audio files so if someone can help me find where those downloaded files are on the phone
I have rooted android 7.0

I suggest you install an explorer kind app and search for the files, maybe es explorer will do the job. I hope it helped.

tools for transfer music and videos

hi,
i want to know how i can transfer music and videos to my TF201?
witch tools i use for that?
thanks for response
a tool needed to transfer stuff to my device was the #1 reason i moved away from iDevices (itune).
for large amount of transfer, you simply connect to your computer thru USB, and use file explorer/manager from your computer to move files.
i use ES File manager (on the tablet) to copy a couple files over WIFI sometimes, slow
I generally use Samba SMB/CIFS or a memory card. USB works great if you have a modern PC but I'm to lazy to get a cable. SSH is also heavily used for my network.

Get isyncer for your device and it will sync your iTunes library.
Anyone know of a good wifi file sharing app to share files between android devices? BT is too slow
Nvidia always!
Windows Media Player
It's odd though.. After ICS I can no longer do a SMB connect to my NAS through either Astro or BS Player. Anyone experienced the same?
Edit: Gah, nevermind When playing around I had entered a wrong password at some time, and gotten myself locked out from my NAS
Use the awesome DropBox... click the referral link in my signature & get DB free & you can put DB on any phone, tablet, computer & instantly transfer files around. I use DB 99% of the time to move songs & vids & photos & wallpapers & notification tones & podcasts & apps to my tablet from my computer.
You can use all above, and tools like Web Remote Desktop, or others see in market), and you have all sync software also, on computer side, through USB and wifi, with samba share. Plenty of possibilities.
"wifi file explorer" works great. When I am too lazy to get the cable, I just use wifi to do the transferring. The only problem is it only transfers one file a time. But you can zip everything into a zip file, upload the zip file, and unzip it all througt wifi file explorer. Very convenient.

If you think that is nice try AirDroid just 1 time.
i recommend ASUS cloud
register here
http://access.asus.com/a/changepwUI.htm
it has multi platform apps pc/mac/android/ios
ofcos if u are transferring HD movies usb is definitely the way. this cloud is very good for small file size esp mp3!
cheers!
My go to apps is AirDroid, TeraDesk, DropBox, or Evernote (it all depends on what I'm doing and from where).
Plus I also have LogMeIn pro for emergencies.

[Q] Playing DVD structure/ISO on Android?

Hello,
Is it possible to play a DVD's Structure or ISO (containing the "VIDEO_TS" folder) directly on Android with menus? If yes, how?
Sent from ParanoidAndroid 0.4a on Galaxy Note GT-N7000 using XDA App.
Yes. U first have to use a pc program called handbrake that will convert format for u, then u can watch it on ur device
Sent from my DROIDX using xda premium
Wouldn't it defeat the purpose of keeping the subtitle ?
Edit: I have found the solution:
Extract files contained in ISO file to your Smartphone and use Daroon Player
you'll be able to play a DVD with the menus.

Hi, is there a solution to stream DVD ISO directly to an android device?
I ripped all my DVDs (ISOs are all located in my NAS) and will not convert my collection to play it on my phone/tablet. If android cannot perform such a basic thing, I will have no choice but turning to surface and win8. Would be sad but if there's no choice...
I believe it is possible but you will have to look into DLNA and such, I do not have the possibilities to confirm it since I did not try it myself.
I think you should create another topic to have more chances of obtaining an accurate response.

Hi, I installed XBMC on my android tv stick and it appears to play some DVD ISO files. I say some because out of about 15 I tried 2...one worked and the other didn't.
You'll need to download the xbmc.apk file from www.xbmc.org and have your security settings set so u can install third party applications.
Gavin
Is there a way to directly mount ISOs now or do I still have to extract the files? By the way, VLC and BS Player can open the ISO but they won't get further than the menue.

It will be only possible if you'd like to convert the DVD ISO, or "VIDEO_TS" folder to Android friendly format. There are some video convert tool can help you, like the free Handbrake, but it needs a third-party software still; or Brorsoft dvd ripper, it will cost you some $ or so, it will help you fast rip and convert your home or commercial DVD ISO image files or VIDEO_TS folder to a common video like MP4 for your Android device within one-stop.

Okay, but would that friendly format support menus?

You can simply do that via ADB.
Just enable USB Debugging on your watch connect it via USB to your PC and search how to correctly use "adb push" to transfer files
Can't give you a guide now sadly, I'm on my phone.

I have no idea how to do that but I am reading about it to know more. For some reason my LG G Watch is not installing drivers properly. I think I may need to download the entire SDK to use adb. But thanks for responding.

Here you can find a little guide how to do so over your Smartphone via Bluetooth. It's slow tho, only ~50KB/s so this would take a long time for larger files.
If you want to connect your SmartWatch directly via ADB and USB to your PC you need something like an "LG ADB Driver". I found one but only after an hour of searching or so... I don't have it here at work sadly.
At least that's the only one that worked for me.
I have successfully pushed some songs into my watch and they are playable through es file explorer but haven't checked with bluetooth headfones bcoz i don't have them yet, but how did u made the play music play the songs on the device

I didn't play them "on the watch", I connected my Bluetooth Speaker (which you can see in the background) and then connected my PC to those so I can record the audio.
After messing about a bit with Google Play Music and trying to get it work, I gave up on that and just went the ES File Manager route as well. Working great with the built-in media player!
Too bad I can't find a music player that'll work (GMMP and Apollo don't, just FCs).
I got this to work. I had music that I had uploaded to Google cloud using their program on my computer. That's the only music that seems to be able to be downloaded to the watch using Google play music app on the phone. I'm assuming music purchases from Google play will work too. Idk about that tho cuz I've never bought from them.

Hey can you check in which folder the downloaded music goes in watch so if we directly copy our music into that place it may work

In case anyone runs into the problem where music is playing, but you don't hear anything, just repeatedly type in "adb shell input keyevent 24" and hit enter a few times. For some reason, occasionally when I factory reset the watch, its volume goes on mute. This just increases the volume.

In addition the store application is not installed.
i attempted to transfer a apk file via Bluetooth but it also blocked
No file browser , thre is a usb port
I spoke with the Manufacturer's why it's blocked it for safety reasons
Does anyone have any idea how it can move a file and install a store?
I just want YouTube etc.
Thanks in advance

Gear Fit2 Music Manager v1.00

I created this basic tool for sending mp3 files to Gear Fit 2 without use of any internet browser.
Download zip file and extract and run exe.
It is also an open source project. You can reach source code with opening exe file via any zip extractor.
For video preview and download link, please visit: http://avalibeyaz.com/web/hobi/gear-fit2-music-manager
Awesome Job
Thank you for this your are a life saver (well you saved me having to install Java SDK and Tizen SDK to access the file system), i didn't realise when i bought a GF2 that all communication was done via Bluetooth including the file transfer, the Bluetooth on my sony z3+ is 95% useless, now i can use this as my running mp3 player as i had intended.
on a side note you may have to restart your GF2 to see the music in your playlist
updated to v1.01
Gear Fit2 Music Manager v1.01
HI all, love XDA!! you ladies and gents are tops!
I was wondering if anyone would be so kind to re-up a working direct link of the "Gear Fit2 Music Manager v1.01" again. Or if anyone that has this zip file can re-up their Link? This link posted here seams to be dead now.
I don't own any galaxy phones and my phone isn't compatible with the gear app either. I would really appreciate it very much.
Thank You all.
Fit 2 pro
Do you think it will work on the fit 2 pro?
