Update:
The All_Files for Lollipop got updated September 28, 2019. The Frequencies 1782, 1728 and 1674 did not have the WiFi modules (drivers) in the flash files and is now fix.
To keep updated on the next improvements, read the first page of this guide:

I don't quite understand what this does? I have stopped using my touchpad because youtube playback has become too buggy (stutters and freezing) .... does this solves this?

All listed ROMs have the same settings applied and perform the same.
Is up to the user, if the camera and Bluetooth is important or any specific App to be use.
Camera and Bluetooth works on Kikat, Lollipop and Nougat.
Oreo and Pie does not provide Camera or Bluetooth, but are newer version.
All of them can be flash easily and nothing to worry, the Tablet will not get brick.

I tried LineageOS 11 Android KitKat by Milaq; youtube does not work
also tried Evervolv v9 Android PIE by Elginsk8r; a bit sluggish but I flashed the 1674 freq ..maybe that's why
I will try a nougat rom

The November 1, 2019 built of kitkat by Milaq, youtube plays. For some ROM, when running youtube for the first time, it won't work and a reboot is required. The Kikat by jcsullin works better with youtube.

Is always recommended to use the highest frequency that the Tablet can handle for the best performance and use the HpTp_MaXtreme_*** settings.
There are many alternatives for google apps, for youtube:

Best all around ROM for Moto E 2015 4G LTE (surnia) XT1524

Hello guys, as you may already know, the latest official/stock Android version for Motorola Moto E 2015 4G LTE (surnia) is Android 6.0 Marshmallow. My model is XT1524. I'm tempted to install the latest official nightly CyanogenMod ROM which is "cm-13.0-20161225-NIGHTLY-i9305.zip". I heard that CyanogenMod drains the battery quickly than the stock ROM. Knowing that CyanogenMod switched his name to Lineage OS, I think I'll wait until Lineage OS makes the first build. Until Lineage OS creates a ROM for my device I want to try other ROM's. Which one is the most stable, has a great battery life, and is almost stock? Or should I install CyanogenMod already? Also do you guys recommend changing my kernel? If yes, which one?
Thanks.

The CM13 Latest Snapshot.
I've tried Lineage, CypherOS, and AOSP Extended. They're less stable and buggier, I ended up going back to CM13. Anyways AFAIK the current Android 7 ROMs still lack CMTE for theming as well.

Go ahead and install that ROM. I can help with your battery life. My SoT with OC easily gets 3 hours. I've pushed it to about 4 hours when using efficiency profiles I made in Kernel Auduiter (might be spelled wrong). Also using HEBF and ForceDoze.
RR has a better battery life than LOS. Someone knows about slim?
I´ve tested Stock 6.0, RR 7.1.1, AOSCP 7.1.1 and LOS 7.1.1, and can tell us that LOS give me the best battery usage, almost 6 hours of screen so far, and it´s smooth and no fails....
Sorry for the bump but I want to know what you guys are using right now as daily driver? I flashed latest RR 7.1.1 but while it's stable, i found it to be lacking polish (some settings are missing, others don't work as expected) and that's obvious because it's a WIP and I thank devs for their hard work, but I want to settle in MM for the moment. I love CM13 latest snapshot but was wondering what else I can try...

rom that works

does anyone know of a costum rom (marshmallow or nougat) that actually works with our device, and without any bugs?
Best options:
Marshmallow - CyanogenMod 13.0
Nougat (also the only option) - LineageOS 14.1

Diff between ported miui and stock Nougat ?

Hey guys, Kenzo have many ported miui nougat roms but how in terms of battery and performance do they differ from stock nougat aka Lineage OS.
In terms of gaming and ram management are they any good ??

Stock nougat for kenzo means Miui official nougat which kenzo never received from xiaomi.
Stock nougat in general term means AOSP nougat. Which is also called as stock android which google releases for public as open source.
Lineage OS is not stock. It is custom rom. It is derivative and based on stock android.
Coming to ur last question . yes los nougat is good and fully stable. But its not updated anymore.
everything is working.
But pie is also good and stable. Try latest AospExtended pie which is stable and all stuff is working. Try pubg on it and see.

I have used pie before ( many months back) but the battery drains quickly. So even minimal game playing seemed difficult to maintain if I am travelling.
Also video over lte didn't work then

It depends on health of battery. It may vary for u.
I m getting 5.5 hrs SOT.
I have used both stock as well as ported but i think there are not much difference but there is a little bit.
In stock rom like resurrection remix , lineage os , havock , pixel experience and etc have much good performance but their sound engine in both Oreo as well as pie are not good as compare to miui based rom (stock or ported) and the other things are best like latest os builds. Also camera performance is not better but in pie with Google camera the performance is awesome with portrait mood.
In ported rom Google pay
( tez ) app not working mainly in miui based ported rom. But their sound quality is best as miui use snapdragon plus audio engine.
Now i m using Revolution os which is customised rom of stock miui rom with working Google pay ( tez ) app and with best audio quality also better battery backup and best camera but it is in marshmallow but have all futures which is in naught like split screen etc.

Lol...dont be stupid.
First google and read meaning of Stock rom .
it is preinstalled on phone by OEM such as miui from xiaomi.
On Android One device we have stock android or AOSP which is preinstalled.
It has verified trusted signature. It is secured so all banking apps can work.
As far as sound quality is concerned. Now most of the latest kenzo pie rom like havoc, aex, bootlegger have already added Dirac sound support.
Didnt u enable Mi sound Enhancer in sound settings.?
It is as good as Miui sound.

I am using an unofficial lineage OS 14.1 with Dolby Atmos mod . But somehow the sound still lags behind that of miui.
This edition of lineage gets updated every month with secu patches.
Common problem with custom miui roms I have faced, is that wifi signal reception gets lower. Does not occur in pure android roms

Rom Suggestions

I have this spare S6 edge my wife left me after buying a new mobile, it's still in very good shape and I would like to use it essentially as a tablet (no sim card, wi-fi only); most important, I would like to use it as a spare token generator for my work and as a consequence I need these functionalities:
encryption
no root
camera working.
I'm tired of Samsung stock ROM and I would like to try something newer; so far I have tried official LineageOS 14.1, unofficial 15.1 and 16, nexus 9.0 and Ultimate Oreo (note 8 port). Among those roms, the only one suitable for me is LOS 14.1, all others have issues:
LOS 15.1 and 16 : no encryption; 16 does not have HWC and overall appears less smooth than all others
Nexus 9.0 : rather buggy and again no encryption
Ultimate Oreo: camera does not work when I need it.
LOS 14.1 is fully functional and pretty stable, but what I do not like about it is that is not as smooth as ultimate oreo (really impressive how smooth that is) and after all it is still Nougat as stock Samsung ROM.
My question is: do you have any suggestion of ROM I could try ? Should I go back to stock ROM and live happy with it ?
thanks

Yeah I know about that pie rom but pie roms for the 2/16 variant are almost all laggy and I can't quite make up my mind to switch to pie roms and are just waiting for some confirmed smooth versions of pie roms.
I was using Nougat roms for a long time. Every time I tried another Pie roms it gets laggy beyond tolerable in a few days...
Aaaaand than I tried the good ol' lineage rom (unoffical tho). Its lineage 16.0 with Android 9 and Im already using it around a month. it runs like Nougat both in performance and battery life likewise. So I recommend this one (8.8.2019 Version):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/pie-lineage-16-0-2019-07-26-t3952145
P. S. Using OrangeFox recovery, not TWRP.
crDroid (it is based on Lineage OS but it has many customizations and optimizations)
Source: //sourceforge.net/projects/crdroid-kenzo/files/
I use it in my RN3Pro 2/16 and it works smoothly.
I'm using "Havoc-OS-v2.5-20190517-kenzo-Official" on 2/16
I feel this rom has the perfect combo of performance and stability. Also games like PUBG run lag free on default settings which I felt was a bit stuttery with other roms.
