Hey guys, I found this
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/gsi/MIUI/
Do you think this images could work on our device?
Why did you get a mi a3 if you wanted miui? Redmi note 7 or mi 9cc have miui.
And why would you actually want memeui on your device in the first place.
Better to stick with something with little bloat

Because of the features, I know some people who prefer MIUI over stock because of some of the features that it provide. There are people who likes the MIUI look than the stock look. I know people who really adore the so called "bloatware". Also MIUI used to provide better battery life than stock android back in the day, but I don't know how's that situation right now.
That should explain your "Why?" concern

And so ..... Will it work or not? Because your answer does not solve the question at all. I'm glad you're happy with Android stock, but there are other people who want to try MIUI (by the way, calling it MEMEUI wasn't funny the first time, so you can end calling it that way) so just let other people do whatever they want without judging them..
Stock android is really boring compared to miui. I always root so adverts are not a problem. Miui has matured into a very good rom, which useful features & battery life. I wanted to give android one a try, but so far not impressed. I am sure its the same way many others feel too. You can move from miui to aosp (treble) but cant move from Android One to Miui, which makes me admit that Miui phone is even a superior choice.

For me stock android is the best rom ever, i really don't care about bullshits that xiaomi call features ? The faster rom have one name : Stock Android

Why there is still no Lineage or a different Rom out yet? I dont mean the fRoms with stock, i mean stock Android.
Please i want stock Android on the Phone, i hope in future there will be roms.
I'm on your side, but I thing it's not gonna happen. Nobody wants to make a new rom for 5 users. The P10 community is way too small and Huawei made it not really easy.
One thing, I would miss with AOSP is the usage of the finger print sensor. I don't know if it's possible on stock.
I mean for the P9 there is lineage 14, it would be enough to me, there is no need for the newest android 8 lineage 15 rom, it would take also long until we would get lineage 15 for the p10, but stock android 7 is all i want to have.
And why do you want that?
Huawei kirin is not the best one for Lineage but for emui it is.
You will lost some great features if you install lineage.
If that's your favorite Android you should think about change your phone to Pixel or similar phones.

Yeah I can understand your point of view, and maybe it's not the best for stock android, but my P10 was a gift and in the moment I ain't able to buy a pixel sadly. Is it really that hard to build lineage 14.1 for the P10? I don't come along with emui it's just don't my thing, it's for me just like iOS for android and I don't like it, I love stock android and it would be amazing if there would be coming out a aosp or lineage rom.
I also had difficulties getting used to EMUI, but with the right theme (you can even install a pixel theme!) and Nova launcher, the look and feel are quite ok, I think.
Yeah thats true, there are a lot of themes out, but sadly not one has it all right. One theme have different colors in the download-section some gray and black statusbar icons and other one have false status bar icons on it self then it would be in stock, so i tried to get a complete theme by using the theme editor from the play store but it isnt working at all sadly, so i have to make compromises and thats not feeling nice if u want to have a stock oreo/nougat experience. So i really hope that there will be roms in future, if its needed i would have with all i can, test alpha builds etc, somehow the development must going to start at least now.
I wasn't a fan of EMUI at first but have to say I have gotten used to it and really do like it. Not a fan of most OEM overlays but this is one of the better.
Have you tried Lawnchair? On my G4 I used that from the get go and it was still in development and new versions released all the time but was only getting better for fully stock N/O feel. I haven't been following it since this but may be worth a look?
Haven't looked into yet either to see what it's like as still at work, but just had this YouTube recommendation come through on my phone too.
You dont even need such a launcher like nova or lawnchair, u can download the official Pixel 2 Launcher from here, from xda, just the official apk.
And i think when i use the Pixel 2 Launcher, i need to have the complete Android Pixel Stock expierience, its not mention to have any of the Pixel Launcher with that EMUI around it, its my opinion and i am maybe to much pernickety in such things, but thats how i am, and because of that i really wanna have a Android Stock Rom on this device.
Hello guys. I'm really looking to change my device, I want a clean Android experience and good battery life. So far the best I could think of is a Redmi 5 Plus and flash a custom ROM. OnePlus 6 is too far off my budget and the Nokia phones don't have the LTE bands that I need, so I guess I'll have to settle for something like this Redmi and flash a ROM.
So I wanna know, is there any Pixel like ROM? Like barebones AOSP, I don't want Lineage or RR, with all of their settings and custom stuff. Just plain Android.
I just flashed AOSP extended to vince. I have been using aosp extended on redmi note 4 for 8-9 months, first nougat then oreo versions. I also don't like so many "custom features", they make me feel like the phone is full of bloatware when there are so many of them. I was a nexus user before.
What I want to say is that give AEX e try. It's pretty consistent and has good features I use. However it's not pure aosp, "Extended". It still has many features that may look unnecessary. I think it's tolerable. I say give it a try.
Edit: Oh, I just realized you consider to buy this phone. I also just bought it today. It's great choice for low budget. Ofcourse, development side is very important since I don't think miui is usable or any other ui except pure android. Compared to Redmi Note 4 (my previous device), it's clear that redmi note 4's forum is more active and bigger. Still, you can find some "pure" android for your taste. If you ask me I'm think I made the right choice by buying this one and also redmi note 4.

Ive been using stock roms from the time i got my kenzo. Stock roms are great and so much feature rich. The recent launch of MiUi 10 has many interesting features and it has made me think if I should go back to MiUi just for the visual experience. I mean user experience is also important right. What do you guys feel?
Quite a subjective question. I only use miui like a week. I don't the visuals nor the amount of crapware it has.

Agree, few like MIUI and few like me hate it from the core of the heart. I kept my phone in drawer for 14 days until I was able to unlock the bootloader. I can't stand MIUI, I can still use buggy AOSP rom instead of stable MIUI.

Miui gives u good features. Good camera quality, audio experience, battery life too. It also has inbuilt call recorder. But it has stock gapps which u may not use all and consider it as unnecessary bloat.
Even if it has so many features people mostly prefer higher android version and go with custom roms. Coz it has better performance, security and new innovative features and much improved core structure.
As mentioned before, I've never seen anyone neutral about miui. This ROM is made and optimized for xiaomi devices and there are many features only miui can give compared to others. The convenience and the visual experience, the smoothness of miui kept me going back to it again and again - Epic ROM Miui9 was the best build I've tried and used for a 6-8 months. Now I use oreo RR, because this is now on a level to compete user experience with miui... I mean this was... before miui 10.
Now I really hope that both, android P and miui 10 will be ported to this device, and I can try both before decide. I love my oreo setup now, but this is getting boring after months of use...

Its the same thing with me.. Oreo setup with AEx rom is cool bt its getting boring now and all stock roms have more or less the same features. Miui 10 videos are too tempting to give a try wen its out.
Which rom are you using and why did you choose it?
For me it's miui 10.3.6 for stability and battery life.

I'm on pixel experience
For stock experience and better battery life than miui
I'm using fully stock 11.05.
I use it for the primary reason that I don't want to deal with bugs and incompatibilities.
Poco is scheduled for Android 10 so I'll wait for that.
After which maybe down the line I might unlock bootloader and install a custom ROM.
But by that time I will have a new phone I guess..
Right now I'm using iPhone 11 Pro 256. It's really fast trust me. And battery is better than android.
Reverted to stock miui 11 because of dreadful ghost touches on custom roms.
But stock is literally crippled compared to crDroid rom. It lacks many basic customization features, and it is severely bloated with apps you can't even disable, not to mention uninstall.

as and iphone user, it doesnt surprize me that you never unlocked bootloader!
also its unfair to say iphone11pro has better battery life than android? how did you comeup with this analogy ? you can say that iphone11pro 256 has better battery life than POCO f1 then it would make sense but EVEN then it will be unfair comparision where you are comparing 1000+ usd device with last year's 299usd!
Oneplus7Pro or Huawei Mate30pro or S10+ 512gb/5g version would be your best bet to test and compare iphone11pro256
why?
because as of today till up to now, iOS is NOT open for any other vendor to install and sell! if there was IOS based PocoF1 or iOS based oneplus7pro then you can say iphone11max is performing way better!
iphone is premium hardware seller where Google's mojo is software based!

How polite of you to take a simple comment and blow it out of proportion with assumptions and accusations. This is a forum and everyone is entitled to an opinion and in my opinion, apples to apples, the battery life on the iPhone is better than what I've comparatively used.
Also its nice of you to assume I know nothing of bootloaders etc. Going all the way back to my Sony Xperia and around 6 phones after, I've unlocked them all and used custom ROMs on all of them.
Perhaps you don't understand the value of stability.
Besides I'm still in warranty and I don't want to lose that. So please stay in your line with your stupid argument.
And have a good day.

Bloatware apps can be disabled via an app MIUI Hidden Settings downloadable from Play Store. Also they can be unistalled via adb without needing to unlock bootloader or root the phone

Thanks for sharing. I wasn't aware of that app. Disabled 5 apps which I don't use. 4 Google apps and one xiaomi app. 15 more to go, because they can't be disabled this way. I also found the private DNS option there, which I had to tweak via activity shortcut the other day.
I'll dig around for the adb uninstall idea. Gotta read some stuff before uninstalling this and that. Don't wanna break the ROM.
This is the guide I used to unistall unwanted bloatwares. It's easy to re-install back the apps in case u found out later that you need them.

AFAIK, pixel plus ui for mojito is dead. LineageOS is besto rn
I didnt try recent updates of Lineage but it seems very good when i try it a couple months ago. Pixel Os very good but have Safety Net issues as Pixel Experience, already fixed in Feb update but not available yet. Arrow Os is clean af, not having the safety net issue and only bug that i could think of is PUBG force closing but nobody knows anything about Feb update yet. YAAP and Statix Os are good too, Statix already with Feb update and safety net working fine. All of them except Pixel Experience share the same group of devs, so are very good roms indeed and use Neternels kernel which in my opinion is the best. Im on Pixel Experience with Neternels kernel right now waiting for the Feb update on any of those roms to switch and stay hopefully.

miui is best rom for people who can't try roms and create their own opinion about them
now , of course... the correct question may be... Which ROM do you people recommend? and users can reply with their favorite ROM...
but nah... laziness first Which is the Best ROM of all universe ??
and is extremely tiring finding this question everywhere every 10 minutes
and also making VS like this is a fight to dead... Just use whatever you want dude

Yeah thats right. The only thing that is bugging me about miui is the ram management, i didnt have any serious bug while using it. Trying to find best rom is tiring too, sooo, is you dont have any bugs and want every app working without problems stock is king. If not custom roms are always a better choice than miui.

apart from ram ... miui is soooo damn laggy
it's imposible to use! the most long i stayed on miui was 10 minutes!
and yeah you're totally true... finding a perfect rom is tiring... a lot of clean flash and time spent on testing
so at the end i choose lineage... (not only self promotion) just i want something simple to use rather than thousand of customizations.
Custom ROMs are a must on a Xiaomi Device

Yeah the performance is kinda random, some days is fine and the others day lagging af. I found that the miui version worth using is the factory one, works like a charm compared to updates but is outdated as hell. Thats right. If he wants to use MIUI i recommend the first rom for his model. In global is 12.0.2, fast (compared with other versions, gaming is stable. Ram management the same sadly. Cons is android 11 and outdated security patch, idk how much troublesome could that be from a normal user security perspective.

people which do not know much about technology do not care too much as i saw phones of family and friends with 1-5 years outdated security patch and with sensitive information but they do not care too much.
me as a cyber-security maniac i'm always looking the latest security patch and best security tips so using old miui is a hell no for me (miui is a spyware/adware by itself)
