can anyone help? i wan ask about tat hw can i recover my backup-ed msg with my new ROM installed~
How did you backed it up? What application did you used?
i use xrecovery~
I'm not sure there’s a way to get them back now unless you restored your nandroid backup and then back up your messages.
I’m using MyPhoneExplorer to do this.
Hi all, I have a galaxy s2 i-9100 which is rooted and running Cyanogenmod 9.
Unfortunately I managed to somehow corrupt my /efs folder and my IMEI number is now the dreaded 004999010640000. (I cannot make any calls or access my mobile network)
In the process of screwing up my /efs folder i also lost the entire contents of my SD card that stored my efs backup.
I do however have a backup of my nv_data.bin file stored on my computer, which I placed back in my /efs folder, deleted the backups etc, rebooted my phone, and it restored my IMEI.
However, as soon as I reboot my phone/switch it off again, next time I boot I'm back at square one and have lost my IMEI number.
Is anyone aware of any way to stop this from happening - or have I got to live with this forever? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

is ur phone in warranty ?
Hey guys. I updated to jelly bean just this morning. I had a backup on HTC sync manager which I created the previous night. When I synced my newly updated phone, HTC sync manager overwrote the essential backup that I have. Now I'm stuck with an empty phone. All my files are gone.
Is there any way to somehow recover the backup file on my computer? Do you guys think a system restore would bring my backup back?
The most important part of that backup was my whatsapp backup database file (.crypt)
I would do anything and everything it takes..
Please help me.. my last resort is to root my phone and somehow try to recover the deleted file on my internal memory.. which I don't even know if that's going to work.. people say that deleted files stay on internal memory till your device needs the space, that's when it gets completely rid of everything..
Please help I'm feeling very hopeless..
Thank you..
Hai friends , am coming from htc device . i have an sms backup file there is no extension in it, for example the backup name is backup001.
i dont know how to restore this type
if it is in csv or xml means i know but this is different
please help me to restore my sms i have some important messages in that backup
please help me friends
If you have root use Titanium backup to backup SMS calls, wifi accespoints in HTC & restore in your phone.
I have used this procedure & it works flawlessly
If u have not deleted the msgs from ur htc device, u can use moto migrate.. Check it out once.. Download moto migrate on ur HTC device from playstore and follow on screen instructions.
But I don't know how to restore msgs from backup file. Hope it helps:thumbup:

You can't really use the efs partition of any other device, since that will also make your device use someone else's imei and mac address. But still I would like to help and I'm looking on how to make a restorable backup. Reply this or pm me if you know how to backup efs. :fingers-crossed:
i think that the efs partion is not deleted since i can see Efs backup in twrp backup screen but the partion is not found in file manager ( /efs) so i dont know if it is deleted or not .Note when i try to backup efs from twrp i see some file like emme1 files so i dont know what is the problem my phone wifi or bluetooth is not working but when i flash NHL-NON file found in stock rom the imei number is present and phone can recieve phone calls but there is random reboots .sorry for my bad english .thanks for your reply
edit : i cant find (/misc partition) in twrp file manager also .
