Hello!
I got this phone for free, can I update it to Android 4.2? If somebody can point me to a tutorial (topic), I found several but since I'm new to the mobile world I'm kinda afraid of ruining the device. I think it's unlocked since I can put any chip on it without a problem.
Model
GT-N9300
Android version
4.0.3
Baseband version
DM_BASE_12A_W12.43|sc6820_modem|11-02-2012 17:53:08
Kernel version
2.6.35.7
Software version
6820_2.3.5_C909_hteng_s2_en_V02
Hardware version
1.1.0
Thank you!
PS: It shows no updated available, even after lifehacker .com/5946585/force-an-android-device-to-check-for-a-system-update
If the force update shows that this phone doesn't have a update available. Their might be some unofficial roms which are released by people other than your carrier but this might need you to root and install a recovery on your phone but it is highly unlikely due to the fact that this phone is a clone and doesn't have as big of a user base as the originals.
I have a Sprint Moto E on 5.0.2 and would like to upgrade it to 5.1, but the only stock firmware I found for the hardware model I have (XT1526) comes from boost (Sprint MNVO). My question is: is that ROM compatible with my phone? Alternatively, does anyone have or can share the Sprint 5.1 version? Maybe another stock ROM would work? Please shre some advice, much appreciated!
For he record, the available stock firmware that I am refering to are here and here.
Hello. Because this is a Japanese smartphone, the OTA update is available only in Japan.
Is there a way to upgrade the OS on this phone from the original version 4.4 to 5.1 in other ways?

I don't believe there is
to update to android 5.1 is not the problem, the problem is (i think) that you first have to update the software from NTT docomo network (Settings-->Device Management-->About Phone-->Software Update) (meaning you will have to bee in japan and using their network) and after that you can do the android update even outside Japan (Settings-->Device Management-->About Phone-->Upgrade Android Software)
i too own the F-02G but my advice is leave it on Kitkat the battery drain on 5.1 is way higher (found info looking at some japan forums, blogs etc.)
also you can use the application Debloater 3.90 located here on the forums to disable a lot of stuff that you don't need
hope it helps

Alas, but still need to update the docomo software and OS. The bug in version 4.4, associated with the inability to write to the SD card, is very annoying.
UpAny is useless, JPNOTA, capable of updating F-02G, is no longer available.
Have there been any ways other than sending the smartphone to Japan?

Looking for flashfile of this device cant find it anywhere help guyz
Hi All
I don't quite understand how all the different baseband versions work, but I am looking to flash a stock, non-rooted version of Oreo to my AT&T S7.
I've had a look through the forums on the AT&T S7 - and nothing is intuitive. Is there a how to guide I could read? Or could someone point me in the right direction to a build?
Baseband version: G930AUCU4BQA6
Android version: 7.0
Build number: NRD90M.G930AUCU4BQA6
Appreciate the help,
Thanks!
I don't have the specific answer without the same research you'd have to do, but I do know that usually if the base stock OS is available from the carrier for the version you want then it should be fully compatible since it was made for your device.
However, if you mean flashing from another carrier, that is asking for trouble (could brick your device).
I have a galaxy tab A sm-t380 and I'm trying to downgrade the firmware from 7.1.1 to 6.0. I looked online and the only firmware I could find was the latest firmware or the second to oldest firmware. Does anyone here know where I can get older firmware for this particular tablet? Any help is much appreciated.

The tablet came out in 2017 so this tablet is too new for offcail 6.0 and this device has no custom roms so I can't help you.
