I've noticed that the phone doesn't seem to have Ambient Display working - it's present as an option in the settings but never really shows up.
Also, I've not tried 18W fast charging since I don't have a fast charger - would it work if I got the adapter? I've heard only upto 10W is supported on the 7.2
Try the latest update. It's working.

Hello guys,
My phone has been charging nicely recently, but today it is charging very slowly at 100-300 mA
I have fast charging enabled but it doesn't seem to be working
In the notifications it just says " Cable charging" instead of " Fast charging"
I've done a factory reset, changed cable but nothing seems to be working
Is the battery the problem here ?
Thank you

Maybe silly question but... is fast charging enabled in settings? Mine would sometimes change to cable charging every now and then
Yes it is :/

MY s6 started doing the same. Tried everything no joy
Sent from my SM-G920F using XDA Free mobile app
Mine did it... so i .bought a new cable n started displaying fast charge
Can also be a contact problem (corrosion, dirt or loose pins / wires) - the fact a new cable fixed it looks like it's one of that.
Also too high temperature can result in slow charging because of self-protecting charging circuit.
try to clean up microusb connector
Hi,
I bought a Qualcomm charger from Amazon for my S9+ and it was working fine on Oreo but since the update to Pie, I can only fast charge on Samsung chargers. I flashed back to Oreo and fast charge was working again, however i'm now on Pie again.
Before I start looking to purchase another fast charger and testing, wondering whether anyone else is experiencing a similar issue?
I did read on Google, that there were Pixel fast charge issues with Pie but these articles are dated August 2018.
Both my wall charger (Aukey) and car charger (Anker or Aukey, I forget; I'll need to double check) does fast charging on Pie for me.. That doesn't help you, but just to say I've seen no issues so far..
My Aukey randomly fast charge. Just did plug and unplug until shown fast charge.
Hi just curious if the Qualcomm quick charge 3.0 is supported by the device.
Super charge is obviously supported - tested graduately increasing from [email protected] all the way to [email protected] while it says super charging
Power delivery I've tested its working fine, [email protected] while it says quick charging.
But I got no quick charge charger at the moment to test, can some one test and confirm a quick charge charger please? Does it recognize it? What power it gets?
Thanks
P.S:
Also tested different cables for the super charging:
It will recognize the super charging much slower than original cable (which says super charge immediately), and it will only go up to [email protected], fyi..
It might write super charge, but it actually is charging 18w rather than 40 (38)w.
Im rooted on stock TQ1A.230205.002 with radioactive kernel.
How do I enable fast charging? It worked on one rom but I can't remember which one. I have force fast charging enabled on fkm but still no luck
Everything I've read says fast charging isn't supported. 18w is the max even on the official 30w charger.
Hi All,
Not sure what the deal is with the charging status on this device.
Plug in, says super fast charging, then a second later switches to 'charging'.
Tried different cables & chargers and similar behaviour, 'fast charging' (using a different brick) then immediatley just 'charging'.
Do I need some power/cable accessory, or is it actually charging at a fast speed, it tells you briefly then just generically displays charging?
Bit confused, lol, cheers!!
It just show this way but it is using fast charging anyway. If you will use bad charger and cable you will get notification Cable charging. So we have Cable charging, fast charging, super fast charging 2.0 and then they fall to just charging.
Thanks for clarifying
