Hello, does anyone have boot.img, system.img and vendor.img for 10.3.6.0.PFQMIXM? I'm trying to install the october update, even factory resetted my phone, but I still can't install that update. If anyone has those files, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

I am curious to see if anyone knows the possibility of simply booting into TWRP on a new T-Mobile V10 (fastboot boot twrp.img, NOT fastboot flash recovery twrp.img) and pulling the STOCK recovery. If anyone knows if it is possible and/or is willing to be a guinea pig to pull stock recovery I am sure it would be helpful to many in the community.

Yeah, I never flashed TWRP, just booted it to flash SU. So, as per your request, I booted it again and did a backup of only recovery. So this should be stock recovery, since I had never flashed TWRP, hopefully? I don't know how to turn it into an img file tho, but you could restore it in TWRP. Hope it helps.

Glad it helped you! I see people asking for the stock recovery, and there is a link to the img file but it might not be working. At least there's this tho
I have TWRP installed and the phone rooted. Half of my screen died (snow white). So I need to return it. Just so I am clear I can do a factory reset then fastboot boot twrp.img and flash this stock zip and the phone will be back to factory for return correct? Or is there something more to do?

No, the file I posted is only to get stock recovery back. I would suggest using this thread to return your Tmo V10 to complete stock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3241170
Ok thank you. I figured there was more too it. I actually downloaded the file from that thread awhile back. Much appreciated.

No problem
I unlocked the bootloader, flashed the recovery and installed SuperSU. Then tried installing a ROM but the phone never goes past the splash screen. Tried a few ROMs, tried re-flashing but nothing works. Please help.

Yes I was. I am a noob though so I dont know anything apart from flashing ROMs and tweaking a few settings here and there. I have now downloaded the stock firmware and tried flashing but it says installation error. So finally I am trying the other firmware file which doesnt say India on the official site.

By the way I formatted everything in TWRP except my internal storage before flashing. Did that cause any problem?

I just found out that B360 causes bootloop issues currently with all ROMs. Can you just tell me how to downgrade to B340? I have TWRP installed and nothing else on the phone right now.

Your problem is that you were on b360, you should look for stock firmware for your device below b360, maybe b340 or so, and you have to flash back the custom recovery in order to flash the stock firmware, you'll have to use the dload method search for it in the forum guides section of honor 5x, what you did was okay it's called "clean flash"
But since you were on b360 the roms don't boot
Edit: this is the stock recovery for your phone https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/twrpbackup-stock-recovery-backup-t3523916/

I looked around and couldnt find the whole B340 UPDATE.APP file but I found a 340 MB zip file saying its B340. And my Honor is up and running again on B360. So now... if I install a recovery and root it again... will it be fine if I flash this new found B340 zip?

Just an advice, always do a nandroid backup before flashing a ROM in case there's a problem you will be able to restore your backup.
PROBLEM SOLVED, THANK YOU !
Hi.
I just recently rooted my Honor 5X (KIW-UL00 , it's the chinese model)
I then tried installing a custom ROM, the LineageOS. Problem being that I was stuck in a weird BootLoot. When I rebooted the system, it showed me the usual Honor page for like 4-5 seconds, then the loading screen for LineageOS. After like 10 seconds, the animation stopped, the thing crashed and my phone restarted to the Honor page, then Lineage, then crash ... So I booted my phone with TWRP, tried Wiping the Cache and System and started over again with installing Lineage. The same thing happened. I then tried with 3 other custom ROM'S and the same thing happened. I don't know what I did wrong, I am wiping my cache and Dalvic each time, but I can't figure out what to do.
I'm looking for someone who could help me fix this. I am thinking about flashing the stock ROM, I just don't know how to do it, because it seems different than the custom ROM'S
PS: I'm looking for a kick fix, because I kinda really need my phone xD
Thank you!
Ok so, quick update, I got rid of TWRP by flashing the stock recovery over it. I tried to follow this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/help/honor-5x-kiw-ul00-boot-loop-t3449554
(DigiGoon's first answer) but it told me that the installation failed.
So in short, my phone is actually in a endless bootloob, trying to boot no ROM, because the're none.
what's the stock system version you were running before you flashed the custom rom? B418 is the latest non VoLTE firmware.
It was Marshmallow 6.0.1... I found my mistake
We can't downgrade using the SD card method and I was trying to install 5.0
Now I need to find the stock version for the KIW-UL00 6.0.1
you can downgrade with the help of hisuite by huawei.
if your stock system was above B422, you can use this patch to stop the bootloop,
just flash the file in twrp after you flash the rom. https://mega.nz/#!tK51gDRL!S9oYLBTeFDbN0hOCzt5jQ5DYECObFC08YMr-Kml6scc
Problem is that I dont have any ROM or custom recovery running on my phone. I can only acess the bootloader, the eRecovery (that for some magical reasons, doesn't work for me) and the SD card installer, that also doesnt work because the only thing I can find is a UPDATE.APP that is on 5.0, when my phone was on 6.0.1, which doesn't work.
HiSuite doesn't even connect and I don't know what VolTE is, can you explain?
Can someone can help me in finding the Stock ROM for KIW-UL00 (the chinese version of Honor 5x) on android 6.0.1. I can find those for every country except china...
EDIT, I was able to get back on TWRP, so I can add files in my phone
haubudam, i freaking love you dude, you saved me
Thank you SOOOOOOO much

My version of the firmware is B245. Your patch did not help me, there is no newer version of firmware for KISH-UL00 than 245. What should I do?

I flasheded 0124-office.zip(ROM), and flashed boot.img which unzip from other ROM, it looks like same size:12.89MB,2019-01-01, just flashed with recovery, but you should flash it with boot file in orangefox recovery.
Yesterday I download the second ROM Aospextended-***-20200213-0256-offical.zip, this ROM is OK, just flashed and reboot it, it works well.
