Bluetooth HID in Pie? - Samsung Galaxy S10 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I've been reading up on Bluetooth HID profile in Pie
https://www.xda-developers.com/android-p-bluetooth-keyboard-mouse/
Is this something that can be done with stock Galaxy S10 firmware? I want to be able to use mine as a Bluetooth keyboard.

[Q] HID Bluetooth keyboard on Cyanogenmod 10

Hello,
I have an HTC Inspire 4g running Mustaavalkosta's unofficial Cyanogenmod 10.1 ROM. Everything works great, except my Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000, which is an HID Bluetooth keyboard (no SPP). I get a proper PIN exchange and it pairs with my phone successfully, but I can't actually type anything with the keyboard, and it does not appear in the Languages and Input section of the Settings app. The keyboard itself is good because I can use it with my laptop and an iPad.
I've tried apps like BlueInput, MyBlueCon, and Bluetooth keyboard easyconnect, but all fail to make a connection with my keyboard. In the case of BlueInput, I get a message that "this Android does not support Bluetooth HID."
Any other workarounds I could try? Or am I missing something really, really obvious?
(I have a feeling this is a ROM problem and I should be posting in its development thread, but I do not have the permissions.)
I just installed Cyanogenmod 7 stable, and the keyboard does work with this ROM. So does Cyanogenmod 10 just not have HID Bluetooth support? That would be a shame...

Bump! Running CM 10.1 (the TeamCanjica mod) on a Galaxy Ace 2. Phone can seemingly pair with the HID devices which worked in stock rom, but no luck in connecting to them. It just says connecting and never gets connected.
This rom, in contrast to the stock rom, is really fast, stable and nice. But the possible abscence of BT HID is a bummer. Is it often an intended omission from the CM development team and if so does anyone know why? Does anyone know of possible workarounds? On an older device with Android 2.x, I think I installed some third-party app which worked rather nice.
Pairing keyboard Oreo, same problem

I have used a Logitec dinovo mini for years on Android without using the dongle, but now under Android 8 Oreo, it seems to connect asking for pin and registers, but it does not do anything, and the connect light on the device goes on blinking. If I connect via USB C- OTG - dongle, it works fine, but that is useless as I need the USB C port for HDMI to TV to display the fantastic Linux like desktop (Huawei Mate 10 Pro).

Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard

Anyone else having issues trying to connect their Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse at the time same? Seems like I never had the problem before the 4.4.2 update which kinda sucks. Think KitKat might have broken multiple bluetooth at the same time connectivity...
On the ATT 4.4.2 Galaxy Mega.
I'm interested in using a bluetooth mouse on my galaxy mega, but i can't find it on phisical stores... just online!
The bluetooth mouse is great just can't use the keyboard at the same time. Guess I should can get a keyboard that has a built in track pad.
oh, i didn't know i can't use 2 bluetooth devices at the same time... at this point, as you said, a solution could be a keyboard with built-in trackpad. thanks!
Well it's a bit buggy because I can use my Pebble smart watch and mouse fine just having issues with the mouse and keyboard

[Q] I777, KitKat 4.4.4 and Bluetooth HID Keyboard?

Hi all,
I currently have an I777 with CM11 M11 ported from I9100 and the Shift kernel. It is stable for the most part.
I can connect both my headset (via HFP) and car media player (via A2DP and AVRCP) and everything works fine.
I was wondering. Would I be able to connect a Bluetooth keyboard to this phone (via HID profile I believe)? In other words, would I be able to use the Satechi Media Button with my phone? Is supporting Bluetooth HID a hardware specification (i.e. Bluetooth version) or a software one (i.e. OS support)?

Wireless Keyboard Sharing (using official keyboard cover) without using wifi

Hi all,
is there a way to share the official keyboard between the tab s7+ and the s21 (using the wireless keyobard sharing feature) without being connected to a wifi network.
I was wondering because something i have to work on differents locations where i am not connected to wifi, but only on 5G.
Or maybe is there a way of doing this by using Bluetooth ?
I tried this but i get an error message.
Is there a way to be connected on bluetooth without sharing internet thru bluetooth? (as my tab and my phone have 5g sim's)
thanks all

By sharing, do you mean connecting a keyboard to both your Tab S7+ and S21?
You can via Bluetooth, but you can only connect to them one at a time. You can't connect a wireless keyboard to your tablet and phone simultaneously.
Wireless keyboards and mice all use BT. I have never seen any that use WiFi to connect to devices. At least not 802.11. There are plenty that use 2.4GHz, but they come with an USB wireless adapter.
Hi sorry i was not very precise. (i am going to edit my post)
I was talking about sharing the official keyboard of the tab s7 using the Wireless Keyboard Sharing feature that allow the keyboard to switch beetwen both devices.
This works very well but only when both devices are connected to the same wifi network.
this feature is presented here :
Galaxy Tab S7 & S7+ Users Can Enjoy More Streamlined Galaxy Ecosystem Experiences with One UI 3 Update
Samsung’s latest tablet devices, Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+, are packed with a versatile range of productivity and connectivity features to help users connect

The official keyboard is not 'auto powered" so it cannont work as a standalone keyboard for the s21
Ah. Thanks for clarifying. This is news to me. I didn't know this was a thing. I use Microsoft Launcher on both my Tab S7 and Note 10+, so I'm not sure if will work.
I found this on Reddit. How to do it is on the comments.
https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyTab/comments/o0y3cz
"
You can enable this feature under Settings -> General Management -> Physical Keyboard -> Wireless Keyboard Sharing. This makes your Tab show up as a generic bluetooth keyboard/trackpad when other devices search for it. Then, on the other PC you can connect to the Tab S7 via bluetooth and that made it work for me.
(You need to have the book cover keyboard connected to your Tab during all this)"
Update. It uses BT. I just tried it and it worked with my Note 10+. Evidently, it'll work with any BT enabled device. I'm going to try it with my Surface Pro 6 tomorrow. I'll let you know whether or not it worked.
@DJCarlos It uses BT. I successfully connected my Tab S7 to my Microsoft Surface Pro 6. I am typing this on my Tab S7, but in my Edge browser on my Surface Pro 6. I am still not completely sold on its practicality though.
Edit: It does not need to be connected to WiFi for this to work. I connected my Note 10+ to my S7 via BT and typing this on my phone using my S7's keyboard. Neither my phone, nor my Tab S7 are connected to WiFi, nor is my phone's Hotspot is enabled.

Question Bluetooth HID profile

Hello all, any idea is it possible to enable the Bluetooth HID profile, so I can use my phone as keyboard and mouse with apps like Serverless keyboard and mouse? I have an old Xiaomi Mi 5s on LOS 18 and this works without any issues. However I read on different forums Sony doesn't support HID profile on some phones. As an example Xperia 1 II should have it enabled...
Thanks.
