Hi all,
is there a way to share the official keyboard between the tab s7+ and the s21 (using the wireless keyobard sharing feature) without being connected to a wifi network.
I was wondering because something i have to work on differents locations where i am not connected to wifi, but only on 5G.
Or maybe is there a way of doing this by using Bluetooth ?
I tried this but i get an error message.
Is there a way to be connected on bluetooth without sharing internet thru bluetooth? (as my tab and my phone have 5g sim's)
thanks all

By sharing, do you mean connecting a keyboard to both your Tab S7+ and S21?
You can via Bluetooth, but you can only connect to them one at a time. You can't connect a wireless keyboard to your tablet and phone simultaneously.
Wireless keyboards and mice all use BT. I have never seen any that use WiFi to connect to devices. At least not 802.11. There are plenty that use 2.4GHz, but they come with an USB wireless adapter.
Hi sorry i was not very precise. (i am going to edit my post)
I was talking about sharing the official keyboard of the tab s7 using the Wireless Keyboard Sharing feature that allow the keyboard to switch beetwen both devices.
This works very well but only when both devices are connected to the same wifi network.
this feature is presented here :
Galaxy Tab S7 & S7+ Users Can Enjoy More Streamlined Galaxy Ecosystem Experiences with One UI 3 Update
Samsung’s latest tablet devices, Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+, are packed with a versatile range of productivity and connectivity features to help users connect

The official keyboard is not 'auto powered" so it cannont work as a standalone keyboard for the s21
Ah. Thanks for clarifying. This is news to me. I didn't know this was a thing. I use Microsoft Launcher on both my Tab S7 and Note 10+, so I'm not sure if will work.
I found this on Reddit. How to do it is on the comments.

"
You can enable this feature under Settings -> General Management -> Physical Keyboard -> Wireless Keyboard Sharing. This makes your Tab show up as a generic bluetooth keyboard/trackpad when other devices search for it. Then, on the other PC you can connect to the Tab S7 via bluetooth and that made it work for me.
(You need to have the book cover keyboard connected to your Tab during all this)"
Update. It uses BT. I just tried it and it worked with my Note 10+. Evidently, it'll work with any BT enabled device. I'm going to try it with my Surface Pro 6 tomorrow. I'll let you know whether or not it worked.
@DJCarlos It uses BT. I successfully connected my Tab S7 to my Microsoft Surface Pro 6. I am typing this on my Tab S7, but in my Edge browser on my Surface Pro 6. I am still not completely sold on its practicality though.
Edit: It does not need to be connected to WiFi for this to work. I connected my Note 10+ to my S7 via BT and typing this on my phone using my S7's keyboard. Neither my phone, nor my Tab S7 are connected to WiFi, nor is my phone's Hotspot is enabled.

Hi People......i search a long time for an adapter, that can charge and use Usb on the Note 10.1 2014 (p600) at the same time.....no docking station do this, and all other adapters don't, cause the pins are channeled otherwise than on other devices......don't know why....but the adpater from Note Pro 10.1 with ethernet does.....but if i connect an ethernet Cable to it, nothing happens, cause (i think), Android has no Protocol to give a dhcp Adress to an ethernet device, and set the wifi Adapter off....
l found a tool for Nok 3, but I'm not sure, that will work on a P600. But on a mobile , it will not be needed as on a tablet ...
Anyone got an Idea to convert the ethernet drivers from Note Pro to the P600 kitKat ?
Sony for my ugly English
If you're rooted, this app should work: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xda.usbhost.test
I've never tried it with the Samsung branded ethernet adapter from the PRO series tablets, but I've used it in combination with an OTG cable and a generic USB to ethernet adapter, so it should work.
Thx a lot man......by the way, this is the same app, i wrote in the OP, i read about in the Note 3 Forum......i try and report
Result. ...is really strange.......the app accept the adapter, and get an ip adress...... ( it's a network Connection, coming from a router)....status gets to enabled, but i get no Internet Connection. ...strange.....i guess, Wifi have to be off. I also try to set the ip adress manually, also Router and Subnet Mask, but the same result, if i open a browser, no connection to the internet. Super SU Version is 2.02 .....any ideas?
Hello , I have read in another topic that someone tried it but all apps including browser didn't recognize it (they needed a wifi or data connection to work) , even though he was able to ping outside (internet or external) ips via a local console (same thing happened with me following his guide , I can't post links yet , you can find his post easily by googling a little).
Is there any another way to enable it and working properly? I thought about that my phone has not ethernet drivers installed , so can someone send here ethernet drivers from a samsung galaxy tab tablet for example? Will this "hack" work? I mean , if I transfer galaxy tab ethernet files-drivers-options to another galaxy smartphone?
Or if the above sounds kinda silly and doesn't work, is there a custom rom or hack including ethernet support to try and flash? I don't want to change my OS or kernel , I just want to add ethernet support.
I did accept that the phone doesn't also support VIDEO OUT via MHL-HDMI , so I purchased a "Actiontec SBWD60A01 ScreenBeam Mini 2 Wireless Display Receiver HDMI Full HD" for this work , but I cannot accept that this super smartphone cannot work with ethernet ( I already own a female-ethernet-to-usb adapter) , I don't want to buy a tablet just for ethernet!!! This would be fool to do if I just bought one and after that discovered that s6 edge had really ethernet support via a way.

If you are rooted, have you tried:

I just bought a Dash Cam that connects to my phone over WiFi . Can I use my Mobile Hotspot feature to share my data with a S7 while I am connected to the Dash Cam? If not can the S7 connect to two networks?
The Dash Cam does not have the capability to connect to a different network.
Yes, you can connect your S9 to the Dash-Cam and the S7 to the S9, but your S9 will disble the Mobile Data and you won't have a connection to the internet. To avoid this, enable "Keep Mobile Data on" in the Developer options.

Will that also work with wifi direct? It turns out that is how my dash cam connects on Android
I really don't know if this also works with WiFi-Direct. You can connect to a WiFi and with WiFi-Direct at the same time, but I'm not sure if you can Create a hotspot and WiFi-Direct.
If you want, you can connect the S7 to the S9 and to the Dashcam via WiFi-Direct at the same time.

Thank you for the info I will try to figure out how to do it. I may be trying to to something easy the hard way. Here is my situation
I have a Toyota Rav-4 with the basic sound. It lets a device connect as Phone or Audio. In order to steam audio to the radio and have GPS go into my ear I have to run the GPS on my S9+ and tether over WiFi a S7 with no service to the S9+ The S7 is connected to the car radio over Bluetooth as the Audio Device.
My new camera a a Nexar uses WiFI Direct to connect to the android phone
Even with the option for turned on in Developer Options the S9+ is popping up a screen that says
Turn off Mobile Hotspot?
Wi-Fi is turned off when Mobile Hotspot is active. To turn on Wi-Fi, turn off Mobile Hotspot
To enable the Repeater-Mode at the S9 you have to go to the Mobile-Hotspot settings and enable the second option (the option under the Password of the Hotspot)

I did that (see attachments) and it is still giving me the same message.
Oh, WiFi-Direct with the Hotspot is not working, I thought normal WiFi with hotspot is not working.
You can try to connect the phones with an usb cable and the otg adapter from the s9. Then enable USB-Thetering at the S9 and it you can connect it via WiFi-Direct to the Dash-Cam.
If I do that won't I lose the ability to charge the phones?
It would be so much easier of Waze had an option tho output directions to my Bluetooth earpiece
To charge the phone you would need a adapter or a wireless charger.
I have a keyboard cover, can I connect the device to the keyboard without direct connection or via Bluetooth, for example? I lost the back of the keyboard. I bought another case for the device .. I like to connect the device to the keyboard, but it is difficult to connect directly because the new case is not equipped for that.
I'm almost sure it is not possible to connect wirelessly the original keyboard/case, but it is possible to connect any other bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I have the Logitech MX series wireless keyboard and mouse and they both work fine with the Tab S6.
