This has the November 1st security update, just got today. T-Mobile stepping up their game it seems.
Seems it is a valid Tmo firmware, so waiting to see what they say their problem is with the overnight update..
Hello. I purchased an S10 in the USA from T-Mobile the phone is still being paid. I came to Portugal, is there any way to unlock it? If so, SIM card in Portugal will catch network, I will not have problems with it?

You have to activate and put a T-mobile SIM in it and leave it there for 60 days. After that the phone unlocks, so just throw any SIM in and go after the 60 day period is up.

Afaik two carrier websites (Fido and Rogers) are mentioning that the Oreo update is coming soon.
I reached out to LG Canada on Twitter and they said that the update is scheduled for March 2 - 9.
UPDATE: Fido now shows "coming in march" for the Oreo update for both our devices and the LG V30.
UPDATE 3/12/18: Fido now shows "coming in April" for the Oreo update for the LG G6 and "coming in March" for the LG V30.
While I'd love to believe so (the sooner the better IMHO), these accounts are usually run by people with no access to such information (i.e the support personnel); time ranges have been wildly inconsistent between groups (some going as far as July or later!) and no one seems to give a solid answer (apart from this tweet). My best hopes are for a release in late Feb-early March. Thanks for the heads-up though-- I'll keep an eye out for those dates!
Has the update happened in Canada yet? Nothing for the European H870 yet...

Crickets indeed.
Fido says it's coming this month. Guess we just have to wait.

No. Unfortunately, we're still waiting for the update. Oreo has been released for the V30 in Canada, which is keeping my hopes up.
I think the update will not happen until June, considering the launch of G7 on May.
Until recently, only Fido had the update to 8.0 on their upcoming OS releases page.
Now, Rogers just added it. No specific date, only "coming soon!".

Ikr. If they're gonna make us wait this long, they should at least make the wait worth it.
In a perfect world, we'd all be running 8.1 with the latest security patches. Oh well.

8.1 has a multitouch bug that effects all devices so if anything you should be happy. I'm running it now on my essential phone and it requires a magisk fix to even be useable for games and such.
So it's definitely not march anymore. Fido's update schedule has gone from "Coming in April" to "Coming Soon". Even though it's still wishful thinking, I hope the update does come out this month. It's only a matter of time.

I don't think we'll have to wait too long for the update. It's been two months since March at this point, but better late than never.
Both Rogers and Fido's update schedules still say "Coming Soon."
At least LG Canada confirmed that it's coming soon. "Soon" can mean a plethora of things, but hopefully that means we'll get the update before the end of May.
EDIT: It's been released for the Canadian market, I assume the US market will receive the update very soon!

Can anyone enlighten me as regards to why Verizon have not updated this device?
Wish I could. Sprint is still on the February security update. Samsung just released the May update.
Yup, been on February since I got the phone. I have a Verizon model S9+. My wife's Verizon Note 8 is already on the May security patch.

This is very typical for Verizon and Samsung. We will be lucky to get the may patch before August or September. If we get it all.
Would be nice if the next update was to 8.1 though! Or even P. Im content with the device for now. I am not overly concerned about the security pathc.
AT&T S9+ variant here....
Also still on February patch. My wife has the Note 8 on AT&T, on the May patch.
Sprint has, in the past, been pretty good with security patches, running about 30 - 40 days behind Google. But it seems all the carriers have dropped the ball on this phone. Wonder what the issue is.
I just came over from an S8+ on Xfinity that was patched twice in one month.. kinda surprised this one is behind considering it's the new flagship phone...
Thank all of you for your input!
They had an issue around April update which caused a bootloop. It's not Verizon, or the carriers that are holding this one up but Samsung making sure it works. I update from sammobile now anyways. I know it's not what you want to hear but I understand why they would want to hold it. We would be crushing Samsung and the carrier if they released an update that caused a bootloop.

Well, I have to eat my words. I just got the May Security Patch update on my Verizon S9+
Thats pretty good!
I just got the new security patch. Does anyone know what they add besides security?

Hi guys, first post.
I purchased a S9+ (SM-G965U) from Xfinity Mobile in June and have been 100% happy with it.
As for updates, I received the June, July, August and September updates within a couple of days of Verizon releasing them so I had assumed that Verizon was testing or configuring the updates/security patches and pushing them out to Xfinity Mobile customers. The Verizon October update was released a couple of weeks ago and I still haven't received anything, either automatically or manually checking and now I'm not so sure. Could Samsung be providing the updates directly to Xfinity Mobile customers? I doubt that Xfinity has anybody there who is capable of configuring an update and sending it back to Verizon to push out, but I could be wrong. Nobody at Comcast has a clue about this, does anybody here know for sure?
I would greatly appreciate any help with this, thanks.
You are lucky you received that many updates. Updates are done by Samsung and then sent to the carriers and they decide if it's worth to push out to the subscribers. In this case it would be Xfinity mobile not Verizon sending the update.
---------- Post added at 11:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:10 AM ----------
I would recommend learning how to use Odin, and updating to the next release, update yourself, since you can get the latest update no matter what carrier your on. You can even update via sd card, but get familiar with Odin since you can reflash stock if anything goes wrong.

Regarding my thinking that Verizon was updating the phone vs. Xfinity Mobile, isn't that how MVNOs work? How would Xfinity Mobile be able to send out an update?

Because even though it's an MVNO, Xfinity mobile is not owned by any carrier, it's owned by Comcast. So the updates would be coming from Xfinity mobile. When I had the galaxy s8+, the Verizon one would receive an update typically every month but the Xfinity mobile one about every 2 months.
Got the February security patch this morning. Hair under 200 megs. Unlocked S10e, T-Mobile.
Does gesture navigation work on 3rd party laincher with feb security update?
Hopefully when AT&T pushes out the February update, the darn bugs will be fixed. I am sick of my keyboard just disappearing to the bottom of the screen at random times and the "in the pocket unlock bug" which appears on the lock screen because my phone somehow thinks it was in my pocket when it wasn't.
What's the name of the February update? BTA2?

Hi!
What do you think, how come they only update japanese market J9110?!
Japanese: 55.2.A.4.191, now they got 55.2.A.4.268A
Every other: 55.2.A.4.154
Why's that?!
I guess the Japanese version was released a month or two late.
Actually, there has been a new update 6 hours ago!
Probably these are the patches?
Just installed on mine SEA Region.
Updates only seem to be for dual sim users. Hopefully something comes along for single sim users.

An update notification just popped up for me using the UK firmware flashed over onto a softbank 802SO.
I've installed this update too today via OTA. It popped up around 8am (J9110 EU)
