Huawei mate 20 lite connection problems - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently bought a second hand Huawei Mate 20 lite but I have a problem.
I am not able to connect to wifi or any network. Also when I put my sim card in the phone there is no signal.
My router doesn't have any problems with it and other devices work normally with very strong signal.
I can only connect through mobile hotspot from another phone, but it says there is no internet.
I tried to reset network settings, hard reset, wipe cache, set up APN manually and nothing worked for me.
Maybe it is a hardware problem.Could anyone help me ?What should i do?

[Q] 2.3.3 fido 2G radio trouble

Hello, I have a strange issue with connecting to the fido network on the latest android.. I live in a valley and the signal wasn't the greatest although it used to always work perfectly .. I could be in my basement etc without any troubles . Now it keeps connecting and disconnecting on me with any subtle movement. (edge /2g), sometimes it doesn't even find the network or sometimes it says that my sim cannot be registered on the network. As an example I have 3 bars but my phone state says emergency calls only..
Although if I go into town and connect to 3G it works perfectly with no disconnections at all... I've tried cleaning the connectors, the sim itself, even swapped the radio itself.. tried different roms even.. tried reflashing the baseband..
There are several 3G tweaks although never came across any 2G ones..
Might anyone have any ideas what I could do? Could it just be that because there has been no official release of 2. 3. 3 for fido or Rogers? I'm truly stumped...
Any help would be truly appreciated.
Thank you..

[Q] Samsung galaxy S duos2 - signal problem

Hi folks,
I bought the Samsung galaxy s duos2 GT-S7582, last week (sw 4.2.2). I wanted to associate my private and company sim cards into one device.
On the first sight it works properly. Until I lost signal from my provider. Both sims I used, are from the same mobile provider. At home it works properly, but in work where is a bit week signal I have a problem to reconnect, after I lost the signal. It seems to me that it doesn't reconnect automatically after I come to area where the signal is for sure, I can not even find any provider manually. I can not do and receive calls on both sims after that of course. Only think what will help is to restart the phone. After that it works properly again, until I lost signal on one of the card again.
I tried to replace the sim cards between them - doesn't help, replace one of the sim with my wife's one - same problem. I did several different settings regarding the connection, but nothing helps. I believe that this would be more-less sw problem, not the hw.
Did anybody face the similar problem? Have you any advices how to solve this issue?
Many thanks for reply.

Mobil Data Lost for a few Hours. - Allready solved still want to share

Hey Guys,
yesterday i experienced some form "bug".
at around 6pm my mobile data went off.
I switched airplone mode on/off - nothing.
I restarted my Mate10 - nothing
I reset networksettings.
So my guess was: Its a problem with my provider.
I switched cards (my wife got my card and i got her card for testing).
And now it gets exciting:
On her phone my mobil data are perfect. 4g+ all the way.
On my phone her mobil data wont work.
So its save: It was my phone.
I checked all Settings (Mobil Data on etc). and also it worked before so i didnt changed any settings.
I restarted my Phone 3 times more - still the Same.
Then i decided to make a backup tomorrow (today) and to reset everything.
So this morning... i looked at my phone: 4G+!
PLEASE WHAT? HOW? AND WHY? i didnt changed anything.
So had someone else experienced that kind of problem?
I have not had this particular problem as I understand it.... but many times with something as intricate as a cell phone, with all it's trying to do all at once...things can get messed up and the only fix is a factory reset which you apparently did and it resolved your issue! Just be glad it you were able to fix it so "easily". Hope it sticks!
I have same problem
I reset my phone then rebrand from C185 to C636 and same problem.
Now I change my SIM to another Telecom Company , everything is OK and my mobile data very good.
My personal analysis: Huawei phone mate 10 and lite and pro has a problem with some telecom companies

Problem with mobile network

Hello I am from Argentina. I recently changed the rom of my alcatel pop 2 (5042a) for a custom rom based on miui 9 (it is in beta). The problem is that I recently changed the telephone company and the company is from another country, so I must enable data roaming and configure an apn for the internet to work for me.
Internet works well, captures 3g and 4g signals perfectly, the dilemma is that every two times I lose connection and I appear in the signal bar that I have no service. I already contacted the company and they told me that there is no problem with them, but I do not know why I lose connection with the network when using the mobile data.
I tried to go back to the stock of this device and it happened to me exactly the same, I tried the chip in another cell phone but the problem was not there. I also try to put the chip of other companies in my cell phone and it works well. The problem seems to be with my cell phone and the new telephone company (Tuenti). Can someone give me a hand?

[SOLVED] Cellular Problem with Redmi Note 9S

Solution: Disable "Dual 4G" option in the "SIM Cards & Mobile networks" settings
Hello, good day!
tl;dr: Phone stuck to no cellular signal, until I reboot, restart mobile radio power, or turning on airplane mode for a short while when turning off again.
---------------------------------------------------
I recently bought this phone as an upgrade to my old one. I transferred my sim, and all seems to be working pretty well. I lived in an area with very poor signal reception, so overnight, the phone doesn't have any signal reception other than WiFi.
The problem is that it remains that way (stuck on 'no signal') if it cannot get any signal for an extended period. The problem persists even if I went to an area with good cellular reception even in the city.
The problem seems to fix itself when I placed the phone either by activating airplane mode for a minute, turn off "mobile radio power" then back on again, or reboot my phone but it starts to get annoying over time.
I tried changing the preferred network type to the one my old phone used (LTE/CDMA auto (PRL)) to fix it, but no luck.
Does anyone know a permanent solution to this?

I tried the SIM Reset first and so far it is working perfectly but I need to monitor it first to check if the problem would persist in the long term.
Will update thread on the result.
================
Update: unfortunately, the SIM reset doesn't work. However, I tried swapping the SIM card to see if it makes any difference and surprisingly it did. I put in a SIM in slot 1 from a network with a good signal reception while my previous one on slot 2.
I would like to also note that the current SIM 1 has a successful Xiaomi activation & verified to use the chat features on the Messaging app while the old one does not.
All seems to work perfectly - but need further monitoring I can call it solved. Will update the thread on the result :good:
Update 2: The workaround above doesn't work. I sent to Xiaomi this issue.

My sim is in slot 1. still dropped calls. Seems like network disconnects and reconnects.
When call is dropped I immediately redial and sometimes no network.

Unfortunately, the workaround I posted doesn't seem to work also when my current SIM 1 can't pickup signal for at least 2-3 hours.
Yes I also experienced drop calls most notably when the signal drops below 0 bars (not no signal with an "X").
I can't find a good rationale a factory reset would solve the problem since nothing on my phone (modified settings, modded, or downloaded apps) that can affect the cellular network. So, I won't be taking that road for now.
I already sent feedback on Xiaomi and advice me to send the log files *fingers crossed*
Any updates..?
My father is experiencing similar experience with calls hang and even bad call quality, while pocophone f1 on the same network works flawlessly.
Data problem
I have a problem with my RedMi Note 9 Pro, when I make a call on 4G Airtel network(at least 4 bars) the data connection drops to an average g of 1.2kbps.
I have used the same Sim in the same area in my previous phone the Honor 9 Lite but it doesn't face any problem. Whenever I get a call on that phone the 4G data speed increases.
On the RedMi note 9 pro the data gets completely disconnected and even after I cut the call the data remains disconnected for 2 minutes or so. After that I resumes back. It even gets lesser speeds that my previous phone.
Sometimes the data drops without any reason. It stays disconnected for a minute or so and then tries to connect back. It has got horrible ping.
Anyone facing the same issues?
Having the same issue here. I modified phone settings several times and try with another apps but nothing working so far
I MAY HAVE FINALLY FIGURED OUT A POSSIBLE SOLUTION!
Disable "Dual 4G" option in the settings.
No issue so far for 3 days now
