Mobile doesn't stop charging even after 100%. Under battery tab it shows charging after full charge. I haven't turned on any battery saver options. Any way to stop charging?
Thanks

Battery calibration - Or battery problem

Having an issue with ROMs where I take my phone off the charger and within a few minutes im down to 93% battery. 100-93 in several minutes is quite bad...
Ive tried to calibrate the battery by running it down then charging it backup etc, but it just keeps persisting. Anyone know how to fix this? Erasing battery stats did nothing also...

Ya but my phone turns on into CMW recovery each time i plug it in when its off.
You should charge up to 100% and leave it trickle charging for about an hour.. then reboot into recovery and reset the battery stats in Clockwork Recovery.
If you're staying stock, I don't have any other options.

XMP Bug after battery change

I have a problem.
Since I bought a 1350 mAh battery for my Xperia Mini Pro, my mobile don't show me the right battery status
When I tried charging it first time it stucked by 81% and didn't charged more.
And now my mobile doesn't charge more then 79% and always shut down by itself.
Then I tried to use my old battery again (which now doesn't load more 86%) und stucked there. Like 3-4 hours just 86% when I used it. Then it shutted down.
Does anyone know how to help me?
Wipe battery stats.
Then charge it full without a hold:good:

Wipe battery stats and calibrate battery (apps from Google Play) after the full charge
Can you Show me a good calibrate app?
I use BatteryCalibration from Google Play and it works perfectly!
I have wiped battery stats but after that I wasn't able to use my new battery normally.
It always shutted down although I had full charged.
Anyone know how to help me?
So many times it was here and still same. delete batery stats is just myth. If you dont belive go check source code and good luck.
And yeah, if you have problem battery like this just try charge batery to full (ignore % on mobile and keep battery about 2 hours on charger then you discharge and you will see. If dont help few cycle there be problem with battery. But wipe stats even in 1 day of month on midnight cant solve self this. Btw this kind of problem i saw on many older phones w/o android and also working this.
Hey and tell me, what exactly doing this calibrate apps? Some kind of placebo effect or changing chemistry in battery?

how to overcome the Battery Life Problem in cyanogenmod

This is a simple way to increase the battery life in cyanogenmod... this worked for me,..
1. Goto cwm and clear the battery stats
2. Charge the phone to 100% (make sure it is 100% by checking the battery status..)
3. NOw allow it to completely discharge ... do not connect the charger until the phone is shutdown automatically...
4. Once the phone turned off due to complete draining of the battery, charge it and use it normally..,
hope it helps
i have a better idea, bring powerbank 5200ma or up, when u go out. ur device will not run out battery even on hard gaming all day long. like i did

yep, maybe it doesnt help but it work for me
1st charge 100% while phone is on
2nd reboot to cwm n wipe battery stats
3rd turn the phone off then charge it to 100%, cause it will tell u that ur battery isnt full yet (charge it about 20 minutes or more)
4th turn it on while still charging
5th unplug the charger n use ur phone as usual

If it doesn't help, then how does it work???
I'm not trying to argue here, I'm just saying that wiping the stats won't help improving battery life. So if you say so, on what basis?
Anyways, cheers!
not improving battery life but, correcting current battery stats. it happen when u often switch rom n restore from cwm then u feel like ur battery drain more quickly than usual, so i tried the method i post earlier n it works

The battery stat is wiped to calibrate the battery... We may have to calibrate the battery after every rom install..

RE-CALIBRATE your battery THE FAST WAY

most people here are changing ROMs...and most of the time people say that some ROMS are a big battery drainer..
some move to other ROMs because they noticed that the battery performance of the ROM they are using is changing..
this happens because all the records on the way we charge are saved on the battery stats..sometimes our battery meter says the wrong information. that is why we have to calibrate our battery...we usually do this by going to CWM and wipe battery stats..
but are we really doing it the right way?
here is my guide to do this in the proper way:
i know some of you are using battery calibration from them the market, but all it does is just delete battery_stats.bin from system..But the truth is, the system is still writing the old battery stats if it's erased online...So the only solution is to delete it through recovery...
this is what you need to do:
1.Install Battery Monitor Widget from Market for Monitoring
2.Charge your phone to 100%
3.When done, restart your phone, but go to CWM recovery
4.Go to advanced -> Delete Battery Stats
5.Reboot, you should get battery about 90-100% (depending how much margin has been wrongly calculated)
6.Open Battery Monitor Widget to monitor the voltages. the maximum voltage is 4200mV for Li-Poly battery. Try to reach that value before disconnecting the charger.
7.Before the voltage graph getting dropped, Disconnect the charger immediately. for me it is stopped at max 4190. your mileage may vary.
8.You're done, your battery is calibrated..
kind regards,
baiclark
Thanks for the tips

Yes, There's no option for wipe battery stats on CWM 6
Only CWM 5 i guess
Guys!! Wipe battery stats is havent nothing to do with battery life!! There is only info about battery drain of every app and time of theses app. Also battery stats are wipe every time when you charge battery above 90% so this function in cwm is practicaly useless.

For sudden drops to 0% Sony Service recommends that you charge the phone to 100%, remove the usb cable and the battery for at least 10 minutes. Return the battery to your device, turn the power back on and put your phone back on the usb charger until it hits 100%.

As you are saying that your mobile seems "hot"
First you need to confirm that its charger/device issue or only with battery.
First do battery calibration with this method: (In this method you need custom recovery for your device
This may help you

Dont forget to thank him there on his thread.
IMPORTANT: You can skip this step>> "Wait 20 min after you are sure it is 100% (phone should stay plugged in)" - As i dont know much about LG devices and their batteries
Now some advice from me-
If you can cover it >>> Never charge battery again and again before 15 or 20%
Always charge your battery to 100% at once and use your device till 15% or less than 15% and then again charge it full and so on...
This will make your battery backup good as well for battery life

According to the Battery Doctor app, you shouldn't leave your phone on charge for more than 9-10 hours(MAX), otherwise it WILL harm your battery.
You should try hibernating some of those apps with Greenify.

BetterBatteryStats
Use better battery stat (check play store) or similar app to track draining application.
In this way you can find a culprit
