Unable to enter USB debugging mode - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Hello all,
I purchased this phone a month back and would like to install custom roms/root it etc.
I am unable to get my phone to enable USB debugging and allow access for my PC. (I have a unlocked bootloader). The notification (prompt) for USB Debugging which shows up the phone (asking if one wants to grant access or not) doesn't show up. Hence I am unable to use adb or fastboot to install TWRP.
I have tried using the cable provided by the company on both USB 3.0 & 2.0 ports to no avail.
I am aware that there is a "How to Guide" under the News/Discussions section. However, it hasn't helped me much.
Any possible solutions?
Thank you
PS- When I connect to pc using USB cable I get the prompt asking me if I want to use it for file transfer,PTP or no data transfer.

Are the drivers properly installed?
What does the device manager show, when your phone is connected via USB and USB debugging is switched on?
What happen if you type "adb shell" when your phone is connected?

Enable it in developer option

Allow USB debugging and USB debugging Security Settings) in Developer Options

[Q] What does USB Debugging do when enabled?

x10 flasher says to turn usb debugging after booting on... I never did it...
So what does usb debugging actually do if I turn it on? Speed up my device?
It allows you to root your device, flash roms, etc... while connected to usb. Just a standard permission Sort of like the one asking you if you will allow non market apps to be installed

New rom install now not getting "allow usb debugging always allow this computer "

New rom install now not getting "allow usb debugging always allow this computer "

[Q] PC not recognizing my LG V10 via ADB/Fastboot

OK to start I rooted using LGUP with a rooted stock 20j ROM.
I eventually flashed the 20L update but went back to my 20j backup because I found it runs smoother.
My issue is that my laptop will not recognize my device via ADB/Fastboot. I've tried re-installing the LG drivers with no luck. I have several LG devices that are recognized this is the only one that will not be recognized.
Any help would be much appreciated.
hm, can you provide some extra info on what you have done? In general what you have to do in order to make it accessible is the following:
Enable Developer Mode
Enable OEM Unlock
Try "revoke USB debugging authorization"
And then reenable USB debugging and try again
Also try with another cable and try some other USB port in your laptop or PC.
Sometimes some USB ports wont recognise the device unless you do some procedure to uninstall the driver for the specific USB port. For now just try to change the port and the cable.

Adb unauthorized

Hi, i've tryied to install andromeda with substratum but when i enable usb debug wont show any autorization dialog and "adb devices" says "unauthorized".
I've tryied to revoke permission deatch and reattach the cable or disable and re enable debug mode, but nothing to do
Did you get some kind of message on the phone about the connection needing you to accept it? I enabled usb debuging and adb wasn't authorized. I looked at the phone and it had a message I need to click on about a trusted connection or something and once I did that adb connected and did what I needed.
I was able to install - got the ADB pop up about devices - clicked and then installed the Andromeda ap (after installing substratum) my problem is that I can't get the Sumbstratum themes to stick - not sure what I am dong wrong - probably user error...but anyway - good luck getting yours connected.
Solved with other pc
What if we are not able to use anothe PC for the process?
How can we reset the ADB log in the PC that was refused in the first place?
Thanks!

Remove lock or enable usb debugging on non-rooted phone (Read data inside a locked phone)?

So i forgot the PIN number on my old phone which was not rooted, had no recovery software (Cwm, Xrec, etc.) installed on it, and has usb debugging and auto-mount disabled. We don't know the google account associated with the phone. Basically all I have is the phone and a usb cable. Is there a way to get the user data out of it? Adb won't recognise the device btw. I do apologise if it's a stupid question. The phone automatically connected to the wifi, and I'm on Linux, if that helps. But I managed to get into recovery but adb only recognises the device in sideload mode. The files inside the phone is extremely important to me because it contain photo of my family member that were passed away.
Phone: Vivo V7 Plus
I wanted to try brute-force the PIN with program but unfortuntely the phone will cool down for 7000 second (3hours+)
A phone typically knows of 2 USB modes: ADB & MTP. If MTP mode was enabled and phone supports a USB-C connection then it should be possible to fetch the user-data you're interested in.

Hi, first of all thanks for your respond. In order to enable MTP i need to have the phone unlock right? how can i enable MTP if the phone is locked ?
All I know is that ADB is the door to any Android device and nothing than that.
