Hi everyone,
I've been looking around for a replacement for System UI Tuner for Android 10 but didn't land on anything good.
What app or trick do you guys use to remove useless system tray icons to leave room for more important ones?
Sincerely,
Florian
Hi,
Take a look at this guide.
Hope it will help.
Best regards.

Being really stupid here but....
...I just put the special edition xda-developers ROM on my machine a few days ago and it has put all the relevant icons on my today screen.
Some of these are very useful and are great apps, however I would like to remove some of them from the desktop/today screen but keep them on the machine. How do I go about doing this?
Help!
Thanks
You can do this in the Options from the today plugin.....
Settings -> today -> ?elements? -> .....

Excellent, nice one mate cheers - still trying to get used to this os my last was a symbian based jobbie and this, although better, is taking some getting used to.
Hi friends, hope it is the right forum.
i updated my Nexus 6 to 5.1 and the TileLauncher ist not working anymore. After a restart of the phone it force closed every time i try to start the TileLauncher. If i make a reinstallation of TileLauncher it works till the next restart of the phone it hasnt been updated since 2013 i think. it worked with 5.0.1.
do you have any idea which Launcher can give me this simple grid system without any margin between my custom icons? i want it simple. hope anyone can help me.
thanks a lot.

Hi,
yesterday I updated my Honor 7 from B180 to B330. The update stopped with some error and so I rebooted phone and wait until the optimalization of the system was done. Eventually I looked into the settings and I have Android 6 MM (B330).
The system works fine but I have problems with icons. Some icons have white background and it doesn't look really nice. I tried to change theme but it doesn't help.
Does anyone know where is the problem?
I tried to upload screenshot but I can't, the site writes: To prevent spam on the XDA forums, ALL new users prevented from posting outside links in their messages. After approximately 10 posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thank you for understanding!
Thank you
Hi,
It is not a problem, stock theme is like that. If you want something like the stock theme but without theses ugly icons, you can try Spectrum Pure
I'm using PureIcons: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/rooting-roms/hack-enable-pure-icons-borders-t3315731
Thank you very much, finally I have normal icons
Hi,
A friend of mine recently bought an Honor 6X which shipped with EMUI 4. It updated to EMUI 5 the other day and the change is driving her mad
I convinced her that staying with EMUI 5 is better than rolling back, which she has accepted, but she really misses the clock app from EMUI 4
I google and found some apks but she cannot install them. I even extracted the apk from a system image myself but again it did not work. The error is "the package appears to be corrupt"
My assumption is that since it was built for MM and replaced in EMUI 5, it simply is not compatible with N
Does anyone know how difficult it would be to unpack the apk and try to modify it so it will work? Either that or does anyone know if someone has already done this?
Thanks
I've faced that error too, but i suppose for other problems (still didn't understood if Huawei placed some protections on their apks or not, as an extracted compass apk on my phone that wasn't even possible to reinstall always on my phone without changes from a minute to another). Surely an app written for EMUI 4.1 couldn't be compatible with a system running EMUI 5, but dunno how could be difficult to directly modify the apk file... And overall, if it'll ever works!
You can use Moto g5 plus clock widget. If you are interested here it goes. It looks actually nice.

Welcome.
Hello all.
I finally jumped on the Android 10 / Q bandwagon straight from Android 8 / Oreo (I skipped Android 9 / Pie altogether).
Is there any way to remove the weather on the lockscreen? I use a third-party app for displaying weather on my lockscreen.
If there is any way to remove it, I just can't find it. I was told that in Android P one could go to Settings > Display> Screen display> Lockscreen and remove it from there, but I can't find such option on my phone.
Best regards.

Uhm... Thank you? I guess...
Now about removing the weather from the lockscreen, can anyone help me?
What is the app called?
What app are you planning to use for that? The weather doesn't show for me, so I thought maybe I could you it.
Regards

It isn't an app, it's a system functionality in Android 9 and 10. To have it you need the right phone (Pixel phones, OnePlus phones, .... Phone which are close to stock Android), and if you have a compatible smartphone, you just have to leave the location enabled. (And everytime I disable location, the weather disappears)
But you said you wanted to use a third party app for it. Now I'm confused.
