I have two LG V30's. Both rooted.
Recently, the notification (sound and semi-transparent toast) that I would get when placing the phone on QI charge stopped working on both. The notification still executes when you remove the phone from QI charging.
I have tried a stock reset with a Refurbish of the stock kdz in LGUp. Unsuccessful.
The Battery tab in general settings recognizes that the phone is charging, but the battery icon in the notification bar does not. Neither does Gsam.
I have tried to create a Tasker profile to notify when wireless charging initiates but it also only executes when removing from charge, not when initiating.
I would really like to have the notification to reassure that the phone is charging when I place it on the QI charger without having to go to general settings.
Any suggestions.

Currently I'm running Com 2.1 with 5/31 -50v PBJT kernel. Which so far seems to be running fine. The phone charges fine, provided I have the phone already turned on. The problem occurs if I turn the phone off and plug in the cable. It doesn't matter whether its via the wall or computer.
The battery symbol will show up on the screen and I'll see the animation symbol that shows up in the battery. But the symbol freezes, no battery status will show up. Power button doesn't work. I can tap the bottom buttons and they'll light up. The only thing to do is pull the battery.
Anyone run across anything remotely similar?
thx
I m using an custom rom, from spike. It was working very nice. Recently a problem starts. Maybe it have nothing to do with the rom, anyway, just in case you know what rom i'm using. (Spike.Pure.ICS-v7.6)
So, the problem is, the display stops to block automatic. It only blocks if i press the power button. If non, the screen decreases the brightness and stay turned on without block and off.
The batterry icon keep blinking without show the percentage, warped, it looks like a square , sometimes it back to normal shape and sometimes its becomes a square blinking
When i plug the usb cable it back to normal, shows the percentage and recharge but It doesnt tell me when its 100% anymore, no message on status bar notification as it used to show.
When the usb is pluged the "block" seems to back to normal too, as the configuration says, 15 seconds and screen turns off.
I already tryed to reset battery stats... i let the S2 discharge completely and then i charge to 100%, wait 2 hours plus then i reseted the stats.
No deal. Reset darwin cache.. same...
Plus, it keep telling on notification bar that i'm connected as storage device even when the usb is disconected. But if i connect it to PC it works normal.
Anyone know what can it be?
1. try search function
2. faulty usb port try to clean it with a clean brush, look for more details, or it may need to be changed
this is caused by humidity (dropped in water/snow, rained in it, high humidity area where you live)
I know my phone is fully charged. I had installed full!screen. after installing, i noticed my notifications bar was gone. so I uninstalled the app. after uninstalling, i found that my battery status showed half full. I know it had a full charge. I restarted my phone, and the notifications panel came back, but the battery icon is messed up. I have it plugged in, but it does not show it as charging.
EDIT: nevermind; fixed.

How did you fix it?
Hi all,
So if you are on Android 4.2+, you may already know the feature called Daydream, which is essentially a screensaver that activates when the phone is docked or charging. I'm very fond of how minimalistic the screensaver clock is, and I would like to put my phone in this Daydream mode and wrap it on my wrist so that it acts as a low power "smart watch".
Question is, I can't seem to figure out how to keep Daydream awake without having to keep the phone plugged in.
1. I used various "wake lock" apps that can keep screen awake in regular cases, but they all don't work in Daydream.
2. I tried an app named Car Mode Enabler which sends a sticky "car mode" intent. The phone thinks it's docked and goes into Daydream, but it would still shut the screen after some time.
3. I tried to find an app that sends charging intents (so as to simulate a charging behavior) but to no avail.
So can anyone get me out of this? You can either tell me how to make Daydream stay on, or even better, tell me if there's an app that functions like Daydream (white clock on black background, with system font). Thanks in advance!
So i've been trying a lot of things to turn of the notification LED on my Z2 while it's charging. I use a docking station for my Z2 which is on my bedstand. When the phone is fully charged the LED turns green, this is so bright it lights up the whole bedroom.
I've tried a lot of apps to turn this function off(light flow, notification manager, ect) and non of them works on the Z2. Also tried some exposed module but they also don't work.
Does anyone know a solution?
If you use xposed, download gravitybox and fiddle with the settings. You should be able to find the one you are searching for.
Thanks! Did not try that one yet
