Anyone having notification issue some time whatsapp and other msg notification not showing
You probably get them but they don't stay on the screen long enough for you to know you have one. That's my biggest complaint about the One Plus. The notification should stay on the screen until acted upon. Is it so hard to leave an envelope or text icon on the screen until seen?

my trackball light keeps turning on and off, even in standby mode... is there a way to turn it off? or is this normal with the phone?
Hi,
The flashing trackball means you've had a message, email or a missed call. You get a little icon in the top left of your screen with a red squiggle on it. When you've turned your phone on, put your finger at the top of the screen and sweep downwards and your notification screen will appear. This should tell you what event, message or call you've missed, or is waiting for you.
Hope this helps. It is a bit confusing at first.
Sometimes, even after I've completed reading all my unread texts/checked missed calls list, the trackball remains flashing for a period of time (like say 10 minutes) and then stops flashing.
Only way to stop it it so bring down the notifications panel and hit 'clear notifications'.
Its a bug.
my mate with an orange one had this, but it turns out he had set up the MAIL application (NOT Gmail) for his hotmail and turned notifications off, so it flashed, but no top bar notification or sound was played.....

I would actually love the option to have the trackball light to pulse indefinitely until notifications are cleared. I reckon its damned sexy!
Just a shame it can't do multi-coloured light :<
Mine will keep blinking until i take down the notifications panel, even tough its clear and i.e message is read. But it "cures" the blinking instantly.
Mine is doing the same thing, blinking for roughly 10mins but dissapears if open and close notifications even if blank.
Is this a bug only in the Orange rom ?
I was wondering if there was a way to disable the screen coming on every time there is a notification for a sms. The screen does not come on with email or with mms and I was wondering if there was a way to toggle it off for sms as well.
I think it would give slightly better battery life even with the 15 second off time I have set for the screen.
Thanks.
I think we've agreed that the screen is the biggest battery draw on this phone.
I am on the stock ROM, and my screen lights up whenever anything happens on the phone. Any notifications light the screen up. Email/text/etc screen comes on to display the notification in addition to the sound.
Is there a way to keep the sound, and notification in the status bar, but keep the screen from lighting up?
I get a ton of emails M-F not to mention text messages and I don't need the screen firing up every time I get one. Hearing it is good, but I'm sure I'd save battery with the screen forced to stay off. Incremental savings? Maybe. But every little bit, right?
SMS Popup
I just discovered this when I flashed Unofficial. It has settings to disable the screen coming on when a text message arrives - at least it's a start, particularly if you get a lot of texts.

Is that setting not in the stock ROM?
How do you get to it in yours?
Just got 5.0 yesterday and immediately became frustrated with what appears to be a step backwards.
When my phone is sitting idle and the screen is off, I used to see just a blinking LED letting me know that I have a text or an email or voicemail waiting.
After this update, I still got the green LED blinking, but when I "woke" the phone up (pressing the power button to light up the lock screen) there was a list of notifications with brief descriptions of what was in the waiting notification.
I purposely shut that off before since I don't like just anyone waking up my phone and seeing my waiting texts messages.
Easy enough, I thought. I just went to the lock screen notification setting and switched the "when device is locked" setting from "show all notification content" to "Don't show notifications at all".
Problem with this is that kills ALL notifications, including the blinking LED!
I liked being able to wake up the phone, swipe down, and see if it's a text or an email waiting by looking at the top bar. Then I could decide whether or not to unlock the phone and check further.
Seems there should be more options than the "all or nothing" approach here.
First day, I know, but I wanted to get this out there for others to find, if there is a solution.
Thanks!
Hi....I have 2 questionw about LG V10 Second screen notification time and white background colour
1)I have read that someone has a white background colour in the 2nd screen after recieve a notification....and he answer that something has to do with the seccurity settings for notification.....Where we can set this option?
2)When i recieve a notification with the main screen locked (with no fingerprint or knock code or pin code...just locked) the second screen shows the notification information for about 1 or 2 sec maximum (the most of the times i was too late to see them).....and after that it only show the app icon (email-message etc...)...is it a way to always show the notification information or at least for some more time like 15seconds???
when i recieve a sms message from stock sms app the second screen also shows the photo of the contact (for about 1 or 2 seconds again as always)....why this isnt happening (to show the picture of the contact) when you recieve a phone call???
I think Lg need more work about 2nd screen in the future to make it so good as the G4 circle window.....!!!!!

I am really hoping weget a solution to the very short notification display, it's a pretty useless feature if you don't get to read the notifications...
