Hello,
My device out of the box is a SM-G925F with 5.0.2 CNX (Vodafone Romania). I flashed 5.0.2 DBT (Germany) from Sammobile and did a full wipe patition/cache so the CSC would change to DBT. And it did, everything seemed ok, 5.0.2 with DBT CSC. The problem is i don't receive OTA updates. The 5.1.1 DBT BOFJ was available but i had to flash it manualy (from sammobile). Now 5.1.1 DBT BOGB is available but my phone shows "The latest updates have already been installed"
I did the EXACTLY the same thing with a SM-G920F (Galaxy S6) and it works perfectly.
Any ideeas?
Thanks!
Grab the 5.1.1 DBT BOFJ and flash through Odin

I did that.
I don't understand, everything is ok. CSC is ok. But OTA report that i have the latest FW installed And i am forced to update manually via Odin.
LE: Ok so Smart Switch tells me that i have an update, form BOFJ to BOGB. Still i don't understand why no OTA.
Sometime today i get a new s9+ it will come with the vodafone uk bloatware on, if i was to flash the btu firmware would that count as unofficial firmware and trip knox?
No, so long as you don't root your phone, you should be fine.
Thats good to know
I dont suppose anyone has yet made an app that allows you to remove system apps without root?
Package disabler pro. You'll have to search for it.
Hi Melliwuk - did you end up flashing your phone to BTU? What was your experience? I have S9+ (SM-G965F) and am on an O2/O2/O2 CSC and want to switch to BTU, but like you don't want to trip Knox! TIA

Flashing official Samsung firmware with Odin will never trip KNOX, only flashing custom software like roms, kernels and recovery will trip KNOX.

As @gee2012 said above, flashing official firmware won't trip Knox.
You just flash the firmware files in Odin. It's quite straight forward. Follow this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ficial-stock-firmware-thread-samsung-t3764479
You can download the latest BTU firmware here: https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=C397FC9F516E11E89F15FA163EE8F90B
Many thanks for the confirmation and the links @gee2012 and @the_scotsman!
hey but do we have the same problem like the s8? I mean with the CSC code, that if i flash the BTU I will have the default CSC and for have problems with samsung pay?
I have J7pro SM J730F with PDA as well as CSC version
J730FXWU2ARE2 Android 7.0
It has CSC Code for PAK (Pakistan)
My device is rooted and TWRP is installed. KNOX counter is, therefore, 0×1
I have downloaded a UAE version firmware, Oreo 8.0.1
CSC code is (XSG)
Can I use flashfire to keep it rooted and flash the updated firmware without bricking.?
And.. is there anyway to keep the data?
Hi guys,
I am located in Europe and the phone is from Ireland. I have Android 10 installed with CSC from Poland (OPV). Is there a way to flash DBT or other European firmware without loosing data? WIll HOME_CSC solve the issue? Sorry for a kindergarten question, but it's been a while since I did anything with Odin. Cheers.
Anybody?
Where u able to do it.. I am trying to switch from UK to IN.. I read if u try to reset the phone with the target sim via recovery it will happen but it didn't in my case..

Solution: - Reup your phone down to android 10
- Back up all your data into PC , everything
- Use code: *#*#27262826#*#* to switch CSC DBT
- Use OTA to update android newest ( android 11 ) of your phone again
Right now i think just have only this solution
Hello,
I have a S23 Ultra ( SM-S918U) - USA model with at&t boot logo and I'm using it in Romania, Europe. So far so good except a few settings specific (maybe) to usa firmware: the missing data icon on notification list, missing network mode ( I can't manually switch from 5g to 4g).
1. Can I flash an europe firmware from sammobile via odin (SM-S918B - I think) over the usa firmware ?
2. Will I lose e-sim doing the above ?
3. What are the disadvantages of doing the above ? I read somewhere about high battery consumption
Also, on Sammobile there is no RO firmware. What firmware should i pick ? This one ?

Absolutely not. If you try to flash the BL and CP files from a different device variant, you risk a permanent brick.

Since the phone would be bricked, yes

Again, you could brick your phone.
The best thing to do is use multi-CSC U1 firmware, such as OXM. This probably won't be necessary though as the US firmwares typically overlap with many other CSCs.
Flash S918U1 XAA CSC using patched odin. You can't flash S918B firmware on it, odin will fail right before it flashes anything. Use HOME_CSC to preserve data and eSIM.
Patched Odin 3.13.1
For those looking for a modified, modded, or patched odin that is a newer build than all the fake and renamed prince comsy 3.12.3 versions floating around. I patch recent Odin versions to offer similar functionality to the princecomsy; in that...
