IF you are talking about stock Oreo and stock Pie ("O" and "P" were the beta names, so I spelled out the final release names for you. LG V30 Oreo has been out of beta for over 1.5 YEARS), most Oreo themes do not. LG updated to UX 8 in V30 stock Pie. However, there are plenty of themes in Google Play which work on LG UX 8.
Any of the UX8 LG V40/LG G7 themes should work on LG V30 Pie. Look through these. Before installing, make sure they are compatible with UX 8.

Thanks for clarifying, I have these themes which are LG G8 / G8 black that I particularly fond of. But it is understandable that in most cases we can't have it both ways in order to move forward.

As long as they say UX 8, they should work. There are G8 UX 8 black themes. Like this one:

I just mentioned G7 and V40, because G8 is about to update to UX 9.

New Camera AI

Is the new camera AI part of Oreo 8.0, or is it a separate update? I've updated on Verizon, but see no new modes in the camera. Some people, after updating to Oreo, have reported that their splash screens now show V30S Thin Q. Mine doesn't. Is this all carrier related? Thanks

Not all Oreos have them. Mine updated to oreo and got 2-3 more updates before getting the ThinQ features (which weren't even announced until well after Oreo was released for Korean carriers). Maybe some carriers skip the earlier updates and go straight to the version with ThinQ but there's definitely previous oreo versions without these features.
AI should be separate. It’s an LG software, not a Google Oreo component. Though I think some of the Oreo updates received by some carriers from LG may include both.

Thanks to both replies.
That's what I thought. How would you know? Is it a Kernel version?

LG UX 9.0 ?

Can anyone make this available for LG V40 and others? Please and thank you!!!!!!
Ux9 has some elements of Android 10
But for UI alone, I think it's pretty easy
LG copied the new UX 9 from Samsung's one ui

[REQ] LG UX 9.0 on the LG V20

So LG's released a nicer UI version (clearly inspired by the awesome One UI by Samsung) which I'm quite fond of.
Any idea if it'll be released for the V20, and if not (more likely) is anyone gonna be working on building it for our phone here on XDA?
Here's a link to the promo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22tO2q1cJk8
One can assume it will arrive with Pie 9.0.

Most stable ROM for audio and media purpose V30 H930?

Hallo hallo everyone
I'm new to this device's forum since I got the device used to MP3 purposes, this DAC is insanely good with my Sennheiser Momentum headphones so I'm looking for the best stable ROM and most recent ROM possible for audio and media quality and stability cause I don't make calls (only use Wifi and sometimes camera).
Thanks
AS
PS: Used to have a lot of free time years ago to make stuff and test it but right now I really can't sorry
I would say US998 Oreo would be easiest and simplest. You could go custom, of course, especially since you're not doing any calls.
What's wrong with whatever current ROM you have? What are you looking to "improve"?
I would go with latest stock oreo

Yeah. Stock Pie isn't as stable as Oreo.
Pie seems feels a work in progress that LG abandoned during final stages of testing

I'm speaking from my experience with 930ds
But from what I've read this is true for all V30 variants
I also tested several custom ROMS like Havoc, Potatoes, PE, LOS, dotOS ..... But each time I come back to the Stock version (PIE). Why is it not possible to have the Audio drivers (Quad DAC) fully supported as well as a good camera / videos on these ROMS?

Because the most of the LG apps/features require LG framework to work which AOSP doesn't have.
