Does this wipe your current setup? Or only if I choose to wipe data?
I am rooted and custom recovery and want to be able to get otas from not on manually but don't want all data wiped.
Not for me. I dirty flashed otas then supersu from the blu_sparks twrp and didn't lose my setup. It reinstalled some bloat I had to delete again was all.
Use twrp-2.8.7.0-onyx_f2fs_r4.img

Sorry guys, help need here... installed RR 7.1.2 on GT-I9100 but failed to install Gapps... here are my steps...
1. Repartition via Odin - pit file - I9100_1.5GB-System_6GB-Data_32MB-Preload_by-the.gangster.pit - successful;
2. Flash CWM -Kitkat Compatible i9100 via Odin - successful;
3. Copy (a) RR-N-v5.8.4-20170813-i9100-Official and (b) gapps - open_gapps-arm-7.1-mini-20170910 to SD card;
4. Reboot to CWM, wipe partition, cache, dalvick cache, format system partion, flash (a) - successful;
here is the uncertain ways to flash gapps, but i try both ways, all failed.
5a. Right after flashing (a), straight away flash (b), successful, reboot but stuck at boot animation,
5b. After flashing (a), reboot and set up - successful, set Developer option, reboot to CWM to flash (b), error message e:\failed to find / misc partition.
The rom successfully installed and running, but unable to flash gapps.
Any comment? Thanks in advance!
I would suggest starting again this time install TWRP v3.1.0.0 recovery instead of CWM. You will need a compatible kernel. See djibe's guide in help section.

Hi All. We have Stock ROM zips for TWRP as you know. But i have boot problem if I install them with instructions which on topics. I know i am not alone who facing with this problem. This Guide is competible with all models.
Here are the steps to install Stock ROM from TWRP.
1. Check first;
Once you booted to TWRP , Tap Mount and Check "Mount, System as Read-only", this is very important
2. Install bootstack and system files.
3. Wipe Art & Cache.
4. Reboot Recovery. (Not system, just recovery)
5. Install SuperSU now.
6. Reboot.
SuperSU will not be fully installed if you don't reboot recovery. So you can not boot.
Currently: I currently have a custom-recovery (OrangeFox) and Magisk successfully installed on stock ROM.
I am now ready to flash a custom-ROM (LineageOS for now) and am unsure whether or not I need to re-flash Magisk before rebooting to system... SO in general is the process:
1) Flash custom-ROM
2) Reboot to recovery and flash Gapps
3) ???? Should I reboot to recovery and flash Magisk then reboot to system OR just reboot to system and Magisk is retained... also, since root was accomplished via Magisk, will flashing a custom-ROM unroot the phone?
Any guidance is appreciated.
Yes, Flashing any custom rom will unroot your phone. You've to reflash magisk after flashing the rom.And make sure you backup everything.
1) Download the ROM and GApps of your choice
2) Make a full wipe (system, data, cache, dalvik, vendor)
3) Flash Rom Zip
4) Flash GAPPS package
5) Flash Magisk zip
6) Wipe cache!
7) And at last Reboot!
I wiped dalvik cache, cache, data, vendor & data.
then i flashed rom & pico gapps
what did i do wrong ? or what should i do now ?
You shouldn't have wiped the vendor
Now to solve that you must flash the stock ROM which will restore the vendor and then flash the twrp image
and then wipe dalvik cache, cache, and data but not vendor
then flash the boot img and the rom
but after all this the phone will still won't start
so after flashing the boot img and rom and other files with the rom ,
clear the data,dalvik cache, cache and internal storage
after all this your realme 3 pro will start
I had faced same problem and all the steps are tried and tested by me personally
