Just a new 8125 G4 installed cr96 6.5wm cant sim unlock please help

i got cr96 6.5 rom installed and i ran lokiwiz03a and got the sim unlock code . ok so i put my tmobile sim in and it never asks for the unlock code it just acts like its constantly searching for network . what do i need to do ? i was gonna flash back to stock rom but idk where to find it and im scared of bricking the g4
Mine is doing the same. Anyone know the solution?
Ok, I figured it out. I had cid unlocked and then upgraded to cr96. So I ended up flashing the rom to the official windows mobile rom and then running lokiwiz. Lokiwiz provided the sim unlock code and then I entered it into the phone while still running the official rom. I then flashed the cr96 and everything was unlocked. So basically:
1 flash original windows mobile rom
2 run lokiwiz and click sim unlock
3 write down the number it gives you
4 turn phone on with a non official sim in it
5 the phone will tell you the phone is locked and give you a place where you can enter the code that lokiwiz came up with
6 enter the code
7 flash to whatever rom you want
the above assumes you are already cid unlocked

[Q] Problem about bootloader of SK17

Good day !
I have come across a situation of unknown bootloader of SK17 .
I found some shop in Hong Kong is selling some cheap SK17 (not sure if it is the same as SK17i) . I asked the shop keeper and they said that the bootloader is locked , but without SIM lock .
So , will someone confirm me if this situation is possible ? As I read some post in this form it indicate that locked bootloader is usually because it is branded , i.e. SIM locked . If it is SIM free version does it mean I can make the bootloader unlock ?
And , what if the system shows "Bootloader unlockable ? No" ? Is there any way to work around this issue to make the bootloader unlock ?
Thanks so much !
Rgds,
Kurz
Hi!
A simlock is something totally different to the bootloader´s lock.
No Simlock means that you can use any sim of any provider you like and who´s band is supported by phone´s hardware.
The bootloader ist locked by sony basically to prevent people from removing the sony Firmware even if it is not branded. A second issue is probably to prevent people from unlocking and playing with the firmware who do not know what they do.
Before the lock of the bootloader it was easy for everyone with one-click-tools or similar to root the phone. This could have led to many RMA procedures at Sony
But there must be a possibility to unlock it due to the terms of open source software.
So there is no need for you to unlock the bootloader as it takes any simcard anyway.
What the issue about sk17i sk17 and sk17a is, I do not know yet. But I´m curious about it
hi... how to know that your xperia mini pro unlock already in bootloader?
my rooting status is,
Bootloader unlock allowed: YES
is it already unlock in bootloader?? or not
It meens that it is be allowed to unlock your bootloader. It means not that your bootloader *is* unlocked.
Hi Poedel ,
Yes I understand SIM locked and Bootloader locked is different . But I wish to install 3rd party roms (CM7 rulez) , so I still wish to know how to unlock the bootloader .
So maybe I change a little bit about my question .
1) a sim unlocked device with locked bootloader (bootloader unlock allowed : no) cannot unlock due to the SIM lock . Then will it allow to unlock if the device change to SIM unlocked ?
2) Any method to work around the locked bootloader (bootloader unlock allowed : no)
3) Any way to unlock the bootloader if IMEI code cannot be used to extract the unlock code ? As I know some of the shop will use flash rom writer to wipe with another device firmware and IMEI will changes (it happens last time when I buy a X01HT) .
Thanks a lot !

this is still confusing The simlock does not take care at all if there is a bootloader-lock or not. I never ask someone if I am allowed, definetly not mr. simlock

okay, usually you'll go to the sony's dev site bootloaderunlockl.sonyericsson.com (don't know the correct sub, could be correct) and authenticated by your IMEI and email you'll get the unlock code. Without IMEI you won't be able to unlock. But even if you IMEI changed you can try the current IMEI. What I think is that Sony just saves the Email and IMEI into a mySQL Database to cope with the situation if your device enters RMA à la "you unlocked, your fault". It would be rather not the way that they look if your current IMEI really belongs to the device there. I would simply try it. BUT!
There is a post where a method is shown to root your ph0ne without unlocking the bootloader.
So here are both links:
rooting without unlocking not tested by me (even not yet read *covering*)
default way like I did it
Dear Poedel ,
Thanks , that's exactly what I wish to know .
So in worst case if bootloader is not going to unlock in normal way , I should use the test point function to bypass it and flash another room and firmware into it , and unlock the bootloader again ?
Thanks very much !

Bootloader unlock issue

I have a Redmi note 3 snapdragon from Amazon.in. I have applied for the bootloader unlock request and it was successful. But when I try to unlock it just got struck at 50 and then thrown me an error that my device couldn't be verified because I have different accounts on pc and mobile, while I had the same account logged in in both the devices. I'm on global 7.3.7 rom and the bootloader page say we can unlock with global rom. Any idea why or anyone facing the same issue?
same error. Using global stable rom.
I tried for a few weeks and decided to give up. Read somewhere you should have dev rom to unlock the bootloader, but I'm lazy to try.
But some of my friends couldn't unlock even with the dev rom. Some managed to unlock on global rom
tried 50 times didn't unlocked updated to miui 8 and done ...don't know what's the trick but m sure version changes do work..

unlocking h901 t mobile?

yeah, it uses the device unlock app.no it says i'm not eligible for unlock.the seller who sold it to me even requested tmo and was denied.tried rooting and messing with system files now it says can't connect to remote server even after reflashing stock using LGUP.Tried using the f600l rom port, no you can't get the sim unlock prompt to pop up.tried blisspop and resurrection roms, they do prompt for a sim code but the codes do not work it says 255 retries remaining<<<something not right there.I do have the right unlock codes, just get them from an unlocking site or ebay.Speaking of unlocking sites, they want 60usd+ to unlock the tmo variant WTF!! Also if you try to get into the sim unlock menu using stock rom (dial 2945#*901#) it just says device permanently locked for everything. Now if there was a way to get a stock rom or port from say at&t variant which has the sim unlock prompt it just might work.
The closest i've got to unlocking this thing i the actual network unlock screen that comes after you flash the stock firmwire through LGUP. it said 0/30 attempts or something for a brief second or two the first boot after reflashing and then it restarts before you can even do anything into os never to be seen again unless you reflash it again but again you will only see it for a second and its gone again.I wonder if there is a way to keep that screen on so you can attempt to unlock it via code.
Also I'm pretty sure the device unlock app is just there to check prerequisites of your t mo account. In reality it does unlock the same way as other phones.probably just applies unlock code from tmo database once it checks you've met the criteria for unlock.
t-mo has really locked these down .
So has anyone been able to successfully unlock this phone without the tmo app? or have a cheaper service to unlock this thing ? Else im stuck with a paperweight.

Note 4x with an unlocked bootloader

Hello all,
recently i bought from aliexpress redmi note 4x from a seller named Goldway, its a big reliable store.
when i typed in cmd "fastboot oem device-info" i saw the bootloader was unlocked.
i contacted the seller through messages and he said that in order to install global firmware they needed to unlock the bootloader.
I saw on the net information about official and unofficial unlock of the bootloader,
how can i know if my bootloader was unlocked officially or unofficially?
cuz i read some info about unlocking unofficially can cause a hard brick.
You should have asked the seller to not touch the device. But I guess that's not a problem, If there is an issue later with the device you can let it enter the warranty process.

I never heared of unlocking caused an hardbrick afterwards... such people du such misstakes. unlocking WILL delete ALL!!! your files but .. I dont think it schould brick it .. but IF the processes of unlock was interrupted it MAY hardbrick but unlocking is fast normally..
