A printing app that actually works, no computer needed, just wifi or bluetooth. ANyways hope this helps.

I would have to saw an android tablet is not the best device to print from, takes some time, but if you need to print a single page or small document without firing up your computer, this might be for you.
Has anyone found a way to get better printing support in the browser?
Seems it only supports samsung printers and samsung only make business lasers so pretty pointless feature...
The printershare app is poor and the layout for printing is cut off and is even poor for photos in that u simply can't get an uncropped print made no matter what settings are selected. Also, printer share doesn't support https I.e. printing flight boarding passes requires direct printing from the browser.
Has anyone come up with a hack for better printer support?
Thanks

I installed Toshiba Printer Share app from the link below and its AWESOME!!!!!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204931
You need to be rooted. You can use root explorer and move apk to system/app and check all permissions and restart your tab. You should be good to go.
Why not use cloud print? Works beautifully. Using it with my HP printer.
So I go to print option in the browser and I asks me to select a samsung printer...
Also I'm pretty sure you can't print https to cloud print or the toshiba print app. As I mentioned in my first post, you have to select the share with button, and then select an app to share it with - this doesn't work with protected pages so the one thing I would actually print out, I can't.
Is this any different with other tablets or browsers?

Do you have tried printershare premium , you must pay this app for the key

My < Printer is a Canon MG6250 Wireless > and i can print Html pages out of the browser with printershare premium - select share page - then you thake printershare and printing
As far as I can tell, any app that requires the "share to" command will not work with an https address, and printershare has been poor in getting the entire content of normal webpages or photos printed so, while printershare works, it is with limited functionality.
Hi xda people,
This question is for Indian users who are using flipkat flyte eBook application.
Actually flipkart allow you to download one book up to six different devices. But does anybody knows where the books actually stored in the device and also is there any way to get the book in more than six devices? Also is there any easy way to share the full book with friends so that they can add the eBook files in a specific folder and they can also read the book without purchasing it.
Please let me know if there is any ways to do that. I'm using a rooted device.

The books are saved in SD card for me... folder named "books".

I am not sure how to get the "TTS" feature added for the books, it will be anice addon. or even make the books DRM free so that I can load in my ereader app and listen to it.
Could someone extract the apk for the stock camera and upload it somewhere?
I accidentally deleted it and I'd like to run some tests.
You'll need to have a rooted phone.

I have the huawei not the c.c. version and the camera is in the firmware. there is no .apk
I have the same version but I rooted my phone and installed a system app remover (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp).
I can't seem to find it. What's the path?
It is part of the stock gallery app. Gallery and camera are all one.
I'm not sure how to get an installable apk from the system, but if people know it's the gallery, I'm sure they can get it for you.
Edit: here
https://www.dropbox.com/s/i7dcst4wb9ux34j/com.android.gallery3d.apk?dl=0
Like I said, it's not installable, but it might work if you copy it to the system apps folder with proper permissions.
Unfortunately this didnt work - the installer failed to install the apk like you said.
I also tried looking into manually copying the .so file within the apk itself to the system/lib folder (https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/android-ndk/X1mRZwBxZLc)
But, the apk doesn't come with one so I guess I'll just have to reinstall the stock firmware.

Just do a dirty flash. You should keep everything else that way.
(Dirty flash is flashing over top of existing ROM, for those not familiar with the term.)
Here, this should work. I copied them straight from the system folder. There are 2 gallery apks in the system folder, and I am not sure which is which.
Gallery2.apk <<<Probably this one.
Gallery3d.apk
Again, not installable, but this time if you copy to system/app folder it should work.
Just seen your post here , i do need this App as well , any chance you can tell me how do i install it please ? not sure how to put them into the app folder , how do i go about that ?

You need root browser or es file explorer or similar. Then you can just download the file and copy or move it to the folder named above. As DB said you must have root access to do that.
Hi divineBliss hope you are well, here why we need the stock camera app which found it works better then the most camera apps with a lot of features..
There are a variety of shooting modes within the camera to give you quite a broad range of functionality and control with Huawei Mate2
Normal – Manual mode, full control over the settings. Some element of default for a reasonable picture.
Smart – An automatic mode that intelligently takes the best picture possible
Beauty – Offers a 10 level auto face enhancement, ideal for portraits.
HDR – High Dynamic Range that improves the lightest and darkest areas of a photo.
Panorama – A wide shot of the scene compiled through a series of images being stitched together
Filters – Applies filters/colour schemes/tones to the image live rather than after capture like most image editing applications.
Audio Note – Takes a 10 second audio clip with a single image
Audio Control – Triggers the camera when a certain decibel reading is achieved.
Best Photo – Takes 10 photos in quick succession from which the best one can be picked.
Watermark – Allows you to leave a mark on the image. Based primarily on your location, it can be edited.
and phone is rooted already

Can someone confirm which of the two file we're supposed to use and does the file get put into /system/app top level? All other APKs are within folders. Thanks!

The stock camera as posted will not work for cm or PAC. Odex system differences.
If you are on 4.3 it was that simple. So not sure what you are running. Just to throw that in.
Have you tried checking in the Google Play for something that would work if this doesn't. I looked and found a couple that will do some of what your asking but not all. You can check them out and see if they will work for you or search till you find something that will. The three I found are
Camera360 Ultimate
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=vStudio.Android.Camera360
Camera MX
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magix.camera_mx
Open Camera
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sourceforge.opencamera
Hope this helps out.
Camera360 Ultimate seems works like a charm Thank you so much
but to better this PAC-ROM i would say default Camera app also can be replaced with better one to save everyone installing new one
I use CM camera.
Here is the lollipop stock camera. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B97V_YadJs2bM3ZpTGZDMGtTU1U/view?usp=docslist_api

Huawie apps are like all manufacturer apps. They are stored in system/priv.app folder.
Hi guys,
Now that linkedin has discontinued the old legacy pulse news reader, does anybody have any alternative recommendations?
Preferably a grid based system say the row shows chronological order of the posts and the column for different RSS feeds.
One that also doesn't just link to web links directly but just shows the shortened version from the RSS feed in itself?
Many thanks!!

I've been scouring the web the last few days myself trying to find the same. I use news 360 for their widget. But only for a broad subject like Geek Culture. What kept me coming back to pulse and what I'm looking for in a reader is the verticle feed list with a scrollable horizontal row for each feed. Made scanning headlines and read stories much more seemless to me. Unfortunately seems most other apps are magazine/ flipboard style or have a bad flow.
This isn't good news as I used the web version and the tablet.... Since then though I have started using Inoreader which has a web version and tablet so it syncs across platforms. It's not a direct replacement but its doing ok until something better comes along
---------- Post added at 03:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:35 PM ----------
im also trying Feedly which works across platforms
I've been using freely the last few days and though it's not a perfect replacement after playing around with and tweaking the settings I've found that it's actually not a bad replacement and even may wind up liking it more.
You can set it to list view instead of magazine. For my one feed widget I just create a new topic with only that feed.
And you can set it to show all stories so they don't disappear after reading as well which was going to be a deal breaker till I found that option.
Have you tried this one: RSS Reader Xoonity?
