Hi!
Are there any Stratos 3 owners that have a heart rate monitor strap which works together with the watch?
I have a Polar H7 which I read it works with the Stratos 2. But I have not managed to connect it to the watch
Today I got the H7 working. Didn't do anything different from when I tried yesterday. It just connected and tested it for a little walk and it was fine.
Not sure what to blame here if the strap or the watch. Let's see how reliable it is over time
Hi. I have Suunto smart sensor. And it works just fine with stratos 3.

Just picked up a cheap bluetooth HRM. Wondering if anyone has experience with them and the G Watch? Any apps that will allow you to pair directly with the watch for phone free heart rate tracking? I play racquetball in the mornings too. Can any one comment on how well the HRM might work with my phone being right outside the glass?
Only solutions I have seen looks like requires all 3. The watch, the HRM, and the phone. The phone runs the app and then sends the info to the watch it seems.

Yes. I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pnn.android.sport_gear_tracker together with a Polar H7. It has a phone and watch app.
- Install app
- On phone: Search and link to bluetooth HRM (do not pair).
-> if you start "workout" on phone, phone communicates with HRM
-> if you start the "workout" through the app on the watch, the watch communicates with HRM and shares info to phone (but continues to work when phone is out of range). When phone is in range, it will upload the results to the phone.
Is it possible to connect an external HR sensor like the Wahoo Tickr to the Gear fit 2 using either Bluetooth or ANT+?
Unfortunately I'm 99% sure that no as I saw it in a review video. I don't remember who exactly, I think the TechyAgent or RizKnows.
That would be unfortunate. The optical heart-rate sensors are known to be inaccurate and the Fit 2 sensor in particular has not impressed some of the reviewers so far. As a fitness focused wearable, it really should have the capability to at least connect to a bluetooth HR sensor for improved HR accuracy during exercises. This is something that the direct competition does support (Garmin Vivoactive HR - via ANT+).
In my case, I have a Wahoo Tickr X which can connect with Bluetooth LE (or ANT+) so it would be really great if Samsung enables that capability.
As for the HR feed into S-Health with an HR sensor connected to phone, does that merge with exercise sessions that are captured by the Fit 2 at the same time?
Hi everyone,
I bought my Stratos about 3 weeks ago and all the time I've been using it I see the same issue. I have iPhone SE with AirPods. The same iPhone is paired with my Stratos. Once I connect AirPods to this iPhone, my Stratos start draining their battery. They use about 1% per two-tree hours in a regular case but once I connect AirPods to iPhone they start using about 1-1.5% per one hour. The only way to stop the battery draining on my Stratos is to reboot both iPhone and Stratos. I tried to reset my watches, unpair and pair both Stratos and AirPods with iPhone but with no luck.
I've never faced such an issue with other my BT headsets or sound devices and I've no idea how to fix this issue.
Same here with iPhone 5 or SE, UE Boom or TaoTronics BT Headset and Pace.
Hi!
I have been using my stratos 3 with an external HRM strap (Polar H7) and that works great. I have also read that it is possible to use also the Bluetooth headphones at the same time for music (although I have not tried this yet)
My question is if it is possible to use two external Bluetooth devices at the same time? E.g. the HRM + a cadence sensor for biking. I was planning to buy a cadence sensor since I saw it is supported in bike workouts, but I won't do it if it can't be used together with the HRM strap.
Thanks

Unfortunately I can't answer your questen. But perhaps you can help me. I'm using the Polar OH1 as external HRM sensor together with the Stratos 3. This works great too. But I'm a bit conserned about battery life. One hour running with the OH1 costs nearly 25% battery. That means that I have a total time of about 4 hours for work outs. That's ok for training, but not enough for a marathon or so (at least with my pace)
Do you have other experiances or tricks with the H7?
Greetings from germany,
Radnerd

1. BT headphones + BT HR chest monitor = Yes.
2. BT Cadence sensors = No.

I had read that the first Stratos was also using a lot of battery if used with external HRM. It is not the case for me with the H7, I run twice per week 30min each and I get 7-8 days battery life. So it might be related to your HRM, it would be worth testing your Stratos with another HRM

Thanks, that is a pity. I don't know why I thought the cadence sensors were already supported in the previous Stratos. I might have misread it somewhere
I have an Amazfit A1619 and also a bone conduction headphone (btw, highly recommend for walking and running. Sound quality is quite acceptable... And it's safe).
Well, I'd like to pair my stratos to a chest strap for better accuracy in regards to HR. at the moment, I don't own any.
Two questions:
A) can I pair both at the same time???
B) can someone recommend me a cheap chest strap HR monitor, with reasonable quality?
Thanks!!!!
BT headsets can be paired in:
Settings>Connection>Bluetooth
BT HR chest bands in:
Sport>Sport Activity>Accessories
