I have an Amazfit A1619 and also a bone conduction headphone (btw, highly recommend for walking and running. Sound quality is quite acceptable... And it's safe).
Well, I'd like to pair my stratos to a chest strap for better accuracy in regards to HR. at the moment, I don't own any.
Two questions:
A) can I pair both at the same time???
B) can someone recommend me a cheap chest strap HR monitor, with reasonable quality?
Thanks!!!!
BT headsets can be paired in:
Settings>Connection>Bluetooth
BT HR chest bands in:
Sport>Sport Activity>Accessories

Hi,
I'm thinking to buy a bluetooth headset, any one can suggest me one? Battery life is my main concern.
Thanks
i use a nokia one, last me a good 2 days
I have tried alot of headsets since they first came out and all i can say is dont buy a cheap one, I have had the cheap, the medium priced and the highend headsets and I can tell you that the only ones i keep are the high end ones. Right now I have the Plantronics Discovery 975 and I love it. Its really light wieght I wear it mostly all day and i sometimes have to touch my ear to make sure its still there, thankfully it always is because it never falls off. It comes with a really convenient case that can charge it fully three times with one charge which means if I charge the case and the headset together to full charge I dont have to charge either for about four or five days. Great buy in my book and well worth the money
nokia bh 104 cheap'n'good
I use the Jabra BT4080.
Small, light, CHEAP, and has A2DP for listening to music.
i use a motorola one
Jabra BT3030 works good

A few months back I bought a Iqua Sun for about 50 euros (70 bucks), here is a link to the official site:
http://www.iqua.com/products_sub.php?navi_id=1476
I am extremely satisfied with the photovoltaic cells, whenever i get home i leave the headset near a window when it can get sunlight and that's all. In four months of moderate usage (20-30 minutes every day on average) i've only had to recharge the battery (via mini usb, perfect) twice . Of course it works with the Hero . I can't speculate on the extent of solar power charging on daily heavy usage , but if you don't need it beacuse of your work and simply use it when you are driving etc etc imho this is perfect.
I can vouch for my Altec Lansing Backbeat 903 A2DP headphones..what's nice is that they offer noise canceling and music streaming capabilities..and the microphone is out of sight yet accurate when you're talking. I've found them to be very comfortable when using them at the gym and just having them on all day. =D link to site
2 words - Jabra BT530
This is an amazing earpiece that filters background noise, AND can be connected to 2 phones simultaniously
Works like a charm, and fits perfectly in the ear(more ear pieces are enclosed so you can choose the best one)
I can wear mine for hours a day, and not even notice i have it "on"
/Smirge
Jabra BT2020 works well with the hero, clear sound and overall very good
There's only one headset i've tried that's good enough and that's Sennheisers VMX100.
Everyone in our company has one of those and save for a few minor problems, mostly related to generic bluetooth problems and the rest probably related to heavy usage, we havn't had any problems at all using a bunch of WM versions, stock android 1.5, iphone and sonyericsson.
Don't mind people talking about problems pairing it with Windows Mobile, my hero didnt even ask for a pass code.
I use the nokia bh-905 on a daily basis. I am really happy with the features (BT+A2DP+sound cancelation+microphone)
I use Sony-Ericsson stereo one: SDK-MW600, You can pair up to 3 devices, it works well with hero, with GB it even show name of song, calling nr. Quality of sound is very nice. And also long battery life.
Hello! I just bought a Zenwatch 2 and so far I really like it, except for one problem (below). One of the main reasons I bought it was to play music through bluetooth headphones/earbuds while working out.
The problem I'm having is that the music cuts out every now and then. I won't say randomly because I think I know what's causing it...very poor signal strength for the Bluetooth transmitter in the watch. I've tried 2 different pair of earbuds and it does the same thing. With the watch on either hand, I play music using the Zenwatch Music app and it pairs up just fine and plays. The second I drop my hands to my side, the music will cut out every few seconds. Taking off the watch and walking away I get about 10 feet before it cuts out...however, the watch has literally nothing but air between it and the earbuds.
I've tried the earbuds with a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone and the earbuds distance triples before cutting out, and of course it doesn't cut out when I drop my hands (with the phone) to my sides. My girlfriend has a Moto 360 2nd Gen watch, and hers doesn't cut out as bad while wearing it, although it does a little. If I had to quantify it, I'd say the Moto 360 cuts out 75% less than the Zenwatch 2.
Anyway, I know that battery life is a big deal with smart watches. I've found that I get about 2-1/2 days out of my watch...but I'm not a heavy user. Occasional texts, an hour in the gym tonight with the bluetooth music playing, and after exactly 12 hours off the charger, I'm at 60%. I would gladly sacrifice some battery life if I could get 10 - 20% more power through the bluetooth transmitter.
Anyone experience this? Any suggestions?
Hello everyone,
I own a Stratos that I usually wear on my left wrist. However, when listening to music with my TaoTronics Bluetooth inears, whose BT receiver is near the right earbud, I constantly get stuttering audio with my watch on my left wrist.
If I wear the watch on the right wrist and hence have a smaller distance between the watch and the BT receiver, it gets better (but not perfect, though).
Has anyone else been experiencing these issues and knows some kind of tweak or workaround? When using the same headphones with my phone, I don't have any connection issues at all, even if I carry the phone in my pocket, which makes me think that the Stratos tries to save energy by using low transmission power. Since I still get some stuttering when wearing the watch on the right wrist, this is not a real workaround, too.
Regards
Tim
I got bluetooth disconnected from Stratos to my earphone sometime. However, turn off my earphones and on again solved the problem.
My earphones has the Bluetooth part on the right as well and I got connectivity issue when the watch on my left or right wrist.
Hi!
Are there any Stratos 3 owners that have a heart rate monitor strap which works together with the watch?
I have a Polar H7 which I read it works with the Stratos 2. But I have not managed to connect it to the watch
Today I got the H7 working. Didn't do anything different from when I tried yesterday. It just connected and tested it for a little walk and it was fine.
Not sure what to blame here if the strap or the watch. Let's see how reliable it is over time
Hi. I have Suunto smart sensor. And it works just fine with stratos 3.
Hi!
I have been using my stratos 3 with an external HRM strap (Polar H7) and that works great. I have also read that it is possible to use also the Bluetooth headphones at the same time for music (although I have not tried this yet)
My question is if it is possible to use two external Bluetooth devices at the same time? E.g. the HRM + a cadence sensor for biking. I was planning to buy a cadence sensor since I saw it is supported in bike workouts, but I won't do it if it can't be used together with the HRM strap.
Thanks

Unfortunately I can't answer your questen. But perhaps you can help me. I'm using the Polar OH1 as external HRM sensor together with the Stratos 3. This works great too. But I'm a bit conserned about battery life. One hour running with the OH1 costs nearly 25% battery. That means that I have a total time of about 4 hours for work outs. That's ok for training, but not enough for a marathon or so (at least with my pace)
Do you have other experiances or tricks with the H7?
Greetings from germany,
Radnerd

1. BT headphones + BT HR chest monitor = Yes.
2. BT Cadence sensors = No.

I had read that the first Stratos was also using a lot of battery if used with external HRM. It is not the case for me with the H7, I run twice per week 30min each and I get 7-8 days battery life. So it might be related to your HRM, it would be worth testing your Stratos with another HRM

Thanks, that is a pity. I don't know why I thought the cadence sensors were already supported in the previous Stratos. I might have misread it somewhere
