Hello,
I'm currently trying to program an application which disable/enable the watch's GPS via Switch.
Is it possible to do such a thing?
Thanks.

Hi there,
I've done some searching and can't seem to find any app capable of disabling and enabling hardware in the android system. The Windows equivalent of this would be the device manager, in which I get a list of all the hardware the OS knows about and can disable or enable it at will. Now obviously the Android settings already allow us to turn on and off the Wifi, cell chip, NFC, GPS, etc., but we have no control over the camera or the microphone, for instance.
Plus, now that airlines are beginning to allow phone use, it might not be long before airplane mode disappears from devices.
Obviously such an app would require root permissions.
If anyone knows an app that can do this, or whether this is even possible, please do tell!
Hi everybody,
I've recently tested an App for mobile and wearable, that I devoloped for Android Wear 1, on Android Wear 2.0.
This app implements the Google Wearable Api for a bidirectional communication between mobile and watch, specifically I am using MessageApi.
In this configuration I've the SIM card on my mobile phone and I don't have on my LG Watch Urbane 2.
I've experienced this problem, when I turn off Wi-Fi and data connection and I try to send a message from Wearable to Mobile the SendMessageResult give me requestID -1 and status TARGET_NODE_NOT_CONNECTED.
When I turn on Wi-Fi or data connection the message API works correctly.
Does Android Wear 2.0 need Internet connection to communicate between Mobile and Wearable? Is this problem present in Android Wear 1 too?
Thank you
I've found that if I remove sync in cloud option from Android Wear app in the smartphone the communication between watch and phone works even without internet connection.
But this doesn't seem to resolve my problem. I've noticed that when the phone is connected to Wi-Fi (and the watch isn't connected) sometimes it has a connection fail with the watch in the Android Wear app. The Android Wear app says that it is trying to connect with the watch, and my app can't exchange messages between phone and watch.
In this case I need to restart the phone to estabilish a new connection between two devices.
So I can say that the wi-fi connection is giving some problem with android wear 2.0.
Has someone noticed these problems? Does someone have a solution for this?
For years I've been using apps that change sound profiles (e.g. Tasker) when I am near cell towers or wifi routers WITHOUT the need for location/GPS to be enabled. When I upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie wifi polling stopped working when location is not enabled. I read that cell polling is also not working.
My desire is to have this functionality (near cell / wifi polling) WITHOUT the requirement of location to be enabled in Android settings. I simply do not want my location to be tracked quite precisely 24/7.
Is there a solution or some workaround to this problem? Maybe some additional apps, Magisk modules, custom roms or something else? At least I would like to have the option to disable GPS if location is enabled (there is no such option in stock Android). I have a rooted Smasung Galaxy S9+.
Ohhhh I don't know

How are you guys using Tasker on Android 9?! It's a popular app with 1M+ downloads and I can't believe that noone is sharing any experience with Pie!
Hi Experts.
I have a Galaxy Watch 4 and is having headache making a macro for the following situation.
I have an contact tracing application which requires bluetooth to be on to work and I would like to configure it as.
Watch is connected via bluetooth --> Contact Tracing App On --> After Used --> Kill App --> Off Bluetooth --> Turn On Bluetooth Again.
Would there be anyone who is able to help with some idea generation?
Much thanks in advance!
