Hi, i am currently using pixels experience custom rom on my device but the current pre installed gcam doesn't had night scene, and sometimes its lagging.. Does anyone have a stable version for gcam selfie and night scene.
Thanks
Just get the last file, which works best for android 9.x pie variants. I'm running it on Syberia OS, and the only issues I have is selfie in portrait mode doesn't work.

After a lot of testing following is working for me (using HavocOS without Gapps):
- flash attached camera_2api.zip (it's from the note 5 plus forum, but works for me)
- flash the attached camera (it's a Magisk module, so Magisk must be flashed too)
As always: making a backup is recommended. Hope I could help.

I think it's Mui Camera. But the package name is "com.android.camera". Version code is 2.0. I attached a screenshot.
I recommend using GCamera_Mod_v.5.1.23_R5Plus_fix_crash for Front Camera on any rom!
And I also recommend bsg-test-8.1 then disabling the location, shutter sound and enabling
the HDR+ Enhanced to prevent crashing then installing MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.3d_TlnNeun
and configuring it properly If you did that without crashes (Which I have done many times!) then update
to MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.4a_TlnNeun and done now you have to configure It yourself properly
else It'll be pretty crappy!
If you're dumb and cant understand this then simply flash the MIUI Camera above my post
I recommend xtreme v2s config, and 7hdr frames for day 36 for night and fully working night sight
with good auto-focus in low-light and sharpness etc.
Hi! i just installed 9.12.5 eu rom with android 10 update on my mi 8 lite and i have been having problems with stock camera and *gcam. They don't work anymore even like messenger's camera or whatsapp's.
After i flashed 9.12.5 and re-installed magisk like usual ( it has the HAL3 and camera2api enabler modules ) the cameras stopped working so i re-flashed 9it without installing magisk and the stock camera and app's camera work but obviously not gcam, in the last version with android pie I didn't have this problem . Does this come from the fact that in this new rom the mi 8 lite has been updated to android 10? . Do you have any suggestions so that i can use stock camera/app's camera and use magisk too? Thank you very much.
9.12.6 has been released this morning, it's possible that they have fixed it:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261654252
Even now , If i try to enable the camera2api enabler module on magisk , the stock camera won't function , any advise?
I edited the build.prop file manually (there's an app for editing it in Play Store), my stock camera works, but I couldn't find a working gcam app. So, uninstall all magisk modules and do manual editing. I'm on xiaomi.eu latest version.
Good day! Everything listed above does the job for Android 9 / MIUI 11, but how about Android Q / MIUI 11? Recent update with MIUI 11 based on Android 10 left me sad and broken because now I can't enable Camera2 Api same way I did for Android Pie.
Yes, you can do it the manual way, as I said above. Cam 2 probe will give you Level 3 in green color. I have yet to find a working gcam port for this phone...

Yeah, I got the Level 3 and yes, there's no gcam support, each one prefer to shutdown immediately... Seems like we need to wait for solution.

I did it the same way, (used the build.prop editor from Play Store) but in vain. I couldn't get gcam working. There may be other settings which I couldn't find online, I'm just waiting to see what will come
i'm with you guys... i can't find a functionaly gcam in android Q, miui 11, on mi xiaomi mi 8 lite
I hoppe any devs make a port soon
The file uploaded will give you camera2 support & fix the front camera on miui Q. It works just like the old ones did. The problem is there's something going on with the way the new system is seeing the back camera using camera2. You can test this by installing Open Camera and choosing camera2 in the settings (it'll crash) and apps like Footej won't even open. I believe this is also why all the Gcams are crashing as well. Its getting a lot of IMGLIB mm-camera errors in the log complaining about cam stream type depth not being set & other module depth type errors before the crashes.
Anyone know what this is referring to?

Yeah, they all crash on main rear camera (imx363) activation. Its some camera2/lib problem where 3rd party camera apps using camera2 (including Gcam) aren't seeing that its there for some reason. Here's a crash log if anyone can understand log speak.
Would there be a fix to make the back camera work in the future?

Most likely yes, but not in the next future for sure.Because MI 8 LITE has a bad community support and it will take a while since someone smart enought will find a fix

Anything yet??
I have same problem :/

I can't find it by google search.
How did you enable Camera 2 Api?
I want to share something specially with the gcam dev team ...
Today I found gcam official on playstore so I installed it and guys what I have found is really surprising .. official gcam can achieve 48mp without root access ..
So when official gcam can do it without rooting why we need rooted with ported one...?
can you share link?
Please upload the APK
Many apps support 48 mpx on the PlayStore, the problem, I think, is that it's not supported by hdr+.
What rom and what gcam version you used? Why you write something without any valid information?
Hi there to any OP7T Users with root,
i am currently on Pixel Experience but i forgot to do an Titanium Backup of the stock camera app.
I still want to use the stock camera app (because of the Macro function) and i tried many versions from apkshare but none of them works.
So if you could do me a favor:
1) What is the exact version of the current Oneplus Camera for the 7T Pro?
2) If you have root and Titanium Backup - Could you do a backup of the stock app and upload it somewhere?
Thank you!
EDIT: It seems this one is extracted from the Oneplus 7T Pro

But i can't install it.
" Note: Sideloading this APK may not work, so you may need root to install"
"The only way to install such APKs is with root, by copying them directly to the system partition and bypassing the typical sideloading flow "
Is this a safe thing to do or is it possible that the phone bootloops after this?
EDIT2: It seems that Macro mode is just switching to the ultrawide as you can do pretty good macro shots with the lens using gcam

Hi,
I have been experimenting with different camera apps including gcam and these are my recommendations and pros/cons. Please add your opinions as well and ROM your running. My tests are done via /e/ os android 12.
Best camera app for this phone HDM Camera latest version:
apkmirror.com/apk/hmd-global/
Pros:
-Most stable
-motion and night shots work
-Does not freeze phone or crash and can switch between modes flawlessly
-pictures process quickly
-no need to reboot device ever to fix camera
Cons:
-will not install from app store, must be manually installed
-selfie cam does not work
Best Gcam:
Most stable Gcam I found is Hasli's 8.4: LMC8.4_R15
With custom configs entered for Nokia 6.1, it works really good in comparison to other releases.
celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-hasli/
Pros:
-all the camera modes appear to work
-selfie and back camera work
Cons:
-cannot be installed from app store
-photos take a while to process
-excessive use will crash camera and you would need to reboot device to fix
Update:
New Gcam released and works flawless for this device by bigkaka:
BigKaka: AGC8.4.300_V9.6
Download AGC8.4.300_V9.6 by BigKaka.
