Hello
I was wondering if anyone knew how to decrease the volume of the ringing tone when a headset is connected. By ringing tone I mean the sound when hear when you place a call before the call is connected. I have really sensitive ears and it really hurts my ears when I place a call with my headphones connected. Part 2 of my question is, Is it possible to lower the call volume with the rocker all the way to mute/silent? It shows its on the lowest but it's still to loud for my ears. What would be great is lower increments for the system volume (5%) all the way down to 0% or mute.
Also is it possible to have the phone ring through the speaker and headphones or just the speaker during incoming calls when headphones are connected? Maybe a reg tweak perhaps?

Anyone?? I can't believe the only part of the phone that is annoying is the phone part and well maybe the battery live but i can live with that.
Okay i searched alot for this problem and didn't find any suitable answer fix or 3rd party app for it..
I have a motorola fire xt311 when it rings i rarely hear it specially when it's in my pocket..
And yes, the ringing i did the setting for the ringing volume to the highst available value, so anybody knows any app that would make the ringing volume LOUDER ?
Thanks in advance
You could TRY using a really loud MP3. (Like take an MP3 into SoundBooth or CoolEditPro or something and artificially increase its volume and use that as your ringtone?)
is this normal when headset is plugged and the incoming calls and alarm volume from speaker decreased by half?
Have you checked under Settings > Sound> Volumes that the notifications volume is all the way up?
Chris.
Ya its as its supposed to b by sammy.u gotta increase manually

alarm and notification volume has set to max. i tested it again with head set plugged and removed. immediately the loudness from speaker decreased by half when headset plugged, when I removed the headset while alarm is still playing it returns loudly.
how can i set volume to full from speaker even when headset is on?

Do you mean the speaker that would play music out loud, with no headphones plugged in? When headphones are plugged in, no sound should play through the phones speaker, only through the headphones.

yea, media volume wouldnt play through phone speaker. but alarm and incoming calls will always play through speaker even with headset on.

Strange, because my phone kills off all sound from the phone speaker when the headphones are plugged in. No idea then.

When I've connected my Bluetooth headset (MW600), my notification volumes are lowered automatically by the system. I found the reason that I don't listen to my music at full volume.
Keeping my music volume lower, is it possible to keep my notification tone's volume at max? (My setting is max already and if I disconnect, I have no issues).

Same happens to me when I connect to my car: volume goes down to approx. 70% and yields the volume control to the car. Just use your headset volume keys and forget about the phone.

Thanks for the reply.
Ja, I do that, but when I play the music it blasts out of my ear! Kinda annoying. I never had this issue with my X10 or Arc. I used this same Bluetooth with them!
hey lads, new galaxy alpha owner right here , have a problem with messenger app
.i cant turn off the in-app sounds
even though i turn them off in the settings they still are there
they are always at max sound, they are too loud, once i get a message i hear the loudest beep sound
even if i change the notification sounds to very low sound ,the fb messenger sounds are the same(too loud) all of this while in other apps the sound is normal and even in the keyboard the sound is normal
anyone else has the same problem with the same app?
overall i am too excited with the phone ,love it already
edit: ok figured it out after some testing, it seems the app's sounds change volume with the ringtone volume controller and not with the notification volume controller, thats pretty dumb.... cause i want the ringtone to be loud but i dont want the notifications to sound too loud... if anyone has any solution plz write it ,thanks
