I think that from your posts that are scattered all over this forum that you have already made up your mind that you want a different phone.
Why don't you just give it up and go get a different phone already.

Yep, I went to the store a week after and they gave me a brand new TB....same thing, so they checked the 3 salesmans TB's and none of them did the audio when recording. Same with the working display...no audio. I love most of the features on the bolt...but I gotta have the damn audio when recording !
i'm stock, and my audio works fine.
I'm on BAMF 1.6 and I am getting audio.

I get audio as well on BAMF 1.6 Remix.
Just checked and my audio is also working fine.
Edit: running bamf 1.6 with the newest radio installed. Remember all the phones at verizon would be on the old radio.

I've had this problem, but only with the camcorder on the HD video setting.
I get audio on a diff rom
this is not a signature I type it in every time maybe sent from my phone or my computer
In briefly messing with mine (BAMF 1.6 new radio) it seems to be recording audio from the front only, I think. When I talk, its clear as can be, but the people on the other side of the phone can be heard but quietly, and not as clearly. Just a guess, but I don't actually know where the 2nd mic is. Never had this problem on my Dinc.

I feel like an idiot now. Tired of waiting for KK, I flashed Mahdi like three days ago and got bootlooped, which took me a whole day to fix. Coming from Samsung phones, this phone had the first stock rom that I was comfortable using so I might go back but its almost 2 GB which is a tad bit too large for a phone with no expandable.

madhi is a great ROM, but you Must flash the PATCH for your device, before restarting.
It looks and plays amazing but I miss some of the cosmetic stock features. I guess ill try stock and probably end up aosp. Do you think stock 4.4 will improve AOSP functionality over time, with the kitkat kernel and all?

Aosp is definitely tough to get off of. The fluidity of it, the size of the os itself and the overall professionalism it brings to the device is awesome, in comparison to the cartoon style lg has put on.
But I digress... Stability, camera, multimedia playback and most of all battery life on stock lg rom all outweigh what aosp gives me.
I came from a nexus 5, I'm quite content with stock but might pick up next gen nexus tab to tinker with (that's the tough part, I like flashing a lot haha)

Is it really true that you get bettter battery life on stock? If yes, then that's shocking. The main reason I went to AOSP on Samsung phone was to get better battery life, its hard to believe that its the opposite here.

For my device and my needs yes, I have got overall better battery life on stock, that's even compared to custom kernels and tweaking values. Then again a 3000mah battery should be giving better battery life then most. On average I can hit an hour screen on for every 10-12% of battery usage.
I mean common sense would kick in here, if I'm gaming it'll drop more, but standby time (WiFi & data on) is amazing. Not even using greenify anymore tbh

Doing that now. 635mb of KitKat. Waiting for it to reboot after the second install.
I updated this morning. All worked well. I prepared by going back to stock recovery and removing xposed module last night. I don't know if it was necessary, but I didn't want to take any chances. I kept the phone rooted though. After the update, I'm still rooted, so all is good! Haven't had a chance to test it out too much though, but for those waiting, the update process was pretty smooth.

You kept the device rooted after taking OTA? Did you delete any system apps or use "survival mode" in SU?
Also what root method did you use? Thanks
Yup still have root access after OTA. Perfect.
How did you keep it rooted? I'm currently rooted with Xposed installer installed. I'm also using G2 Exposed to shrink my nav bar. Do I need to uninstall these apps before updating to kitkat?

I did a factory reset last night, which brought me back to stock recovery as well. I then checked to make sure I was still rooted, which I was. If not, I've used Kingo Root (http://www.kingoapp.com/index.htm) and it's worked great for me. Anyway, I was rooted, so all was good. I made sure Xposed was not installed, and I didn't install anything else, just waited until this morning. I checked for the update and away it went. After the update, I was still rooted. That's all I did. I didn't touch SU. I'm now in the process of making a backup using Titanium Backup, and then I plan to remove some Rogers bloat. I hope that helps.

As far as I am aware of, yes, you will need to uninstall any xposed modules you have and xposed itself.

I didn't uninstall the Xposed modules, but I did disable them and then uninstalled Xposed before installing the OTA.
As a bonus, Tap to Pay is enabled in the 4.4.2 ROM, unlike for our American friends.
I figured as the popularity of this phone grows, people will be wanting to find out about it. So I'll provide the links to that info.
History:
XDA started the G3 as one phone, but there were so many variables between the phones that they decided to divide us up into our respective G3 forums. Sprint, Att, Verizon, etc
So because this phone is so new, all the info is in the initial forum, LG G3
As we grow, this thread will become obsolete as all of our info will end up in our forum. But for now....
Root:
Sprint G3 root: Here
Bootloader/Unlock:
Get it Here
Another method to install it Here
Restore phone to factory fresh: LGFlashtool
This will restore your phone to factory fresh. The walkthrough below will also get your MSL for the ##RTN# dialer code
Make sure to thank wolfgart for this.
HERE is the link to the thread with the .tot and directions.
HERE is a walk thru that works for Sprint. Thanks to fergie716

Is the Bootloader Unlock a guarantee, or is it that they won't look into it until all G3s have root? Sorry, I just want to take advantage of the $150 if it's definitely possible
It isn't a guarantee. They are just not going to look at it until all the devices have root.

Check out the pricing guide on the gentoo wiki. In reality getting free tethering is usually as simple as changing a hidden setting via sql that tells the phone to tether without checking for a data plan. This is only possible with root. I did this on my g2

I believe they were referring to Wi-Fi tethering. On a side-note, I don't understand why people want AllCast and similar apps -- I'd rather be able to send all my audio or my screen to a remote player. Like on my HTC One, "Media Output," allowed me to play Spotify or anything my phone played through headphones -- on my various DLNA receivers in the house. I've found a few apps that can sort of mimic this, but they require root to access the audio stream.
You can try using Connectify (google it) and while sharing your Internet to your phone using Foxfi or PdaNet over usb, use Connectify to share it using your Laptop's wifi.
Just an idea, but it seems it might work.

He's got a lot of other projects going (Fire, OnePlus One, Sunshine, Blackhat conference, etc) and it will be a paid root method, so don't hold your breath for an exact date, just start saving your pennies.

Keep in mind also that bluetooth is a very low power consuming technology to begin with so since it's low power and the frequency is that of 2.4 Ghz wifi is not conducive to clean signals. Even with "frequency-hopping/code-switching" technology on most modern BT devices, it's still bound to run into interference and remember radio devices must comply with FCC regulations which means it must not interfere with other devices but also must accept any interference it receives from other devices.
Mods please delete or move this ridiculous thread from the development section, thank you............. .
