Is my A95X MAX box dead? - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

I tried to flash the ATV Xperience rom using the steps shown in the Youtube tutorial, but I could never get the USB Burning Tool to even recognize my box. It's not the tool per se, but that my computer never sees a USB connection when connecting the A95X MAX OTG port to my PC. So here's a list of stuff I've tried:
1) Connect the OTG port of the A95X MAX (the USB 2.0 port next to the HDMI) and connected that into the Amlogic's Burning Tool, device does not show up in the list, no power plug.
2) Connect the OTG port of the A95X MAX, with power plug. Device still does not show up.
3) Connected HDMI from TV to the A95X MAX, held down reset button inside the A/V 3.5mm port, plugged in the DC plug, kept holding it down, never saw recovery.
4) Box used to boot after a long wait, but it doesn't even boot anymore.

missing the driver for your android box.
reinstall usb burning tool, it should ask to install a "worldcup" driver as well.
some Android boxes dont like USB 3 (Cable or ports)

Thanks for the suggestions, none of them worked, I pulled the damn thing apart and reflowed the usb connectors and its ESD diodes.
Chinese designed anything is just absolute garbage, learned my lesson with Teclast and Amax, won't be repeating this again, gonna give my money to Samsung from here on out, their software isn't great, but they can make some damn fine hardware...

Watch this installation guide video, if you want to install ATV Xperience without PC/LAPTOP.

T95Z plus tv box won't boot

Hello everyone, I have a T95z Plus Amlogic S912 2g ram octa core 16 gb rom, it used to work fine, but one day suddenly it stopped booting, so i tried to reflash it with the burning tool, but then i realized that when i plug it to a computer, it works, it boots and everything is fine, it even works if i disconnect it from the power source, leaving it jus powered by the computer throught the usb cable, anyway, i did flashed the rom with the burning tol, and the problem continues, the box doesnt work while connected throught the power brick, but it works fine just connected to the pc with the usb port

With USB BURNING TOOL my PC no longer recognizes TV BOX V88PRO.

I installed a firmware I didn't like on my Scishion V88 PRO. I opened USB BURNING TOOL, connected my TV BOX (which does not have a reset button, not even inserting a toothpick into the AV input) to reinstall the previous firmware. But by connecting the USB cable to the PC, USB BURNING TOOL no longer detects the BOX! What may have happened? There is a solution?
NB: Before restarting the restoration, I had reset the device, and when I turn it on, only the AMLOGIC form appears and remains locked on it.
Thank you for those who will try to help me

H96max X3 Amlogic S905X3 : How to reset in recovey mode to upgrade firmware?

Hi guys,
I bought this BOX TV H96max X3 Amlogic S905X3 but it restarts constantly, I want to upgrade the firmware.
I ask for your help on this topic. Can you please confirm the method to avoid confusion.
Step by step (without giving details for step 1, 7 and 8):
1. Prepare the PC environment, install USB_Burning_Tool_v2.1.7.0 and selecting the ".img" firmware
2. Turn off the box and disconnect the power cable
3. Connect the first end of USB 3.0 male cable to the PC
4. Click "start" on "USB_Burning Tool v2.1.7.0"
5. Reset the box by bringing a toothpick into the AV port and keeping it pressed for 8 - 10 seconds, without the box being connected to power supply or to the male USB 3.0 cable.
6. Connect the other end of the USB 3.0 male cable to the box in USB "2.0" port (really in the 2.0 port???)
7. See the identification of the box and the progress of the process ....
8. click "Stop" when finish
I'm confused at step 5, do I plug in the power when entering the toothpick or the box will be powered by the male USB cable?
Thanks in advance.

I don't understand why you had to create a new topic while you posted to the similar topic just below. Anyway.
1. Install the USB Burning Tool. You have to install also the LICENCE directory !!!!!
2. Leave the box bare (nothing connected to it - no power adaptor also)
3. Start the UBT tool and load the img file. Wait until it checks it and then press "START". Connect one end of the cable to a USB port of your PC/Laptop
4. While pressing lightly the reset button in the AV port (i.e. with a toothpick) at the same time insert the other end of the cable to the USB port of your box (preferably NOT the light blue port - NOT the 3.0 USB port of the box).
5. Wait until the tool reaches 100% nad then just disconnect the box

Hi ath156,
Yes it is true that I already posted this request in another subject but I wanted it to be in a new more captivating with its title.
Thank you very much for your responsiveness and your concise and very explicit answer. I hope to succeed :good:.

Danger from connecting mxq pro to laptop

Hi.
I tried to flash mxq pro. I connected the mxq to the laptop through USB cable but nothing happened. Then I plugged in the mxq to the power supply while it being conmnected to the laptop.
Could that have damaged the usb port in the laptop since the mxq was on power?
Thanks

No this shouldnt cause any damage, some devices need both usb and ppwer connected to complete the flashing process, are you holding the reset button while connecting? You may need to use mask rom mode to force it to be detected if reset button isnt working Look on my YouTube Channel for "AMLOGIC Unbrick using mask rom mode" this video shows the process https://youtube.com/c/AidanMacgregor
