A rainbow blur appeard on the display off TG01

Hi all!
Today I observed a rainbow blur on my TG01 upper display, it's seems like a liquid ,but it's under the surface and I can't clean it. It's like the crystal liquid it's came out somewhere or somehow.
It's could be a fissure or it's something else?
If it is, how it's this possible, because I treathed this phone like a jewel?
What do you think ,what it is.....?
I uploaded two photos about this.
What should I do?
Sorry for my english.
Thank you for answears.

There is no Screen protector uplied by me, it's in same shape like out of the box, only that, this movement was 2 months ago (out of the box)
I had the same with my first TG, that because you put it in your pocket without big protection.
This big screen don't like a "hold pressure"

Nothing to do for repair.

That's mean that it can't be returned or changed in warranty at Orange?
How do you managed that?

Thank's , I will give it a try, and keep you inform about the situation.
my touch its dead
So I started testing.
the problem its touch screen.
display its ok!
touch screen is on a plastic surface.
Initially there was very little distance between the two
because of adhesive tape on the plastic (touch screen)
after a while they are to close, and then see those refraction,
the rainbow.

Thank's It's very good information, this way we know that rainbowing effect it's caused by the construction of the phone and can happen with anybody, so in this cause Orange (in my case) must replace the phone in guarantee...
I will keep you guys in touch.
Unless I'm very much mistaken this rainbow effect is harmless, because you can't see it when the backlight is on, and it doesn't affect device operation. It doesn't look as good when the device is turned off, but that's about it.
Or am I mistaken?

the rainbow that u see on the screen is called a newton's ring, it happens from pressure applied on the screen, it only happens to resistive touchscreens and not capactive, and if u dont take care of it, it may start to spread, i recommend that you should have used to screen protecter beacuse it usually helps protect this from happening, good luck!
What kind of screen protector would you recommend? Surely any kind of transparent soft case will apply the same kind of pressure to the screen. Or do you mean some kind of hard case that prevents any contact with the screen?

Good advice, keep it in mind!
Keeping it in my trousers' pocket costed me a bloody display(no kidding...)!!!
Hi guys
In Poland We have this same problem.
This is a unstick touch layer.
The reason of problem is bad heat dissipation from procesor.
When We use very strong own TG01 the Snapdragon have about 60'C and this type touch display is very susceptible to heat.
This problem is general problem of users TG01.
The cost of new touch display is hmm about 45 Euro.
After about 5 months use the first "oil spots" appear on the display.
When We use with this problem after 1 month have problem with less sensitivity of the screen.
i just saw the same thing with my tg01 today...but it`s a lot bigger...about 3 quarters of the screen but in the center...what should i do?
ps: i keep it in my jacket pocket...and there is no presure on it...i don`t know what could o caused this...

Blank screen during calls

It seems the 920 has a fault that allows dust to get under the screen and across the proximity sensor. The sensor is very sensitive and the dust particles seem to interfere with the light.
this results in the screen turning off when making/receving a phonecall which means you can't interact (including ending) during calls.
Is anyone else seeing this issue?

If it helps, I blew with as much force as I had directly down the edge of the screen above the proximity sensor (next to the nokia logo).
This seems to have fixed it for now, but I doubt it's a permanent fix.
Hopefully Nokia will issue a firmware update to fix it.
For reference, here's the nokia support thread

Removed the screen protector and it worked.
Think Lumia does not support a cheap screen protector.
Let me know if it works:good:

Yes, I have the same issue. By removing the screen protector, the problem solved.
Me and a friend of mine had exactly the same problems, we both never had a screenprotector and it happened anyway!
We both sent our phones back to nokia for repair. I will receive mine back tomorrow. My buddy got his complete display replaced, wonder what they did with my phone to fix it.

[Q] Touchscreen sensitivity

Hi - If I touch the screen *very* gently, it doesn't register as a touch.
Does anyone else have this? If your P9000 is OK, please let me know.
Most of the time it's OK, but it's extra annoying when I'm swiping a long word which gets split into two smaller words. I do have the screen protector on - Obviously I don't want to remove it just for testing, but I realise it might be affecting sensitivity.
Over the years I've had ~5 phones with capacitive touchscreens. This is the first I can touch without it the phone 'realising'.
Thanks, Richard
PS - I've enabled the 'Show touches' in Developer options. The accuracy is fine, it's just it's not quite sensitive enough.

i have similar problem because the glass folie is on the phone. Im sure because i used without too... but I rather use like this..
So the screen protector made your screen less sensitive?
What phone do you have? The Elephone P9000?

yes, i have glass screen protector on my p9000 and it makes the digitizer less sensitive..
Thanks NX82. That's good news and bad news !
I want to have a screen protector, but sometimes the phone doesn't recognise/acknowledge gentle taps on the screen.
I'll try one other screen protector, if that doesn't work, I'll ask Amazon to replace it.
Cheers, R.

Yes. my screen also less sensitive with the screen protector, but i dont want to scratch the phone, so i rather use with the screen protector.. for me the less sensitive areas are around the edges of the protector.. but i can live with this problem. I know if i remove it gonna be okay again.. maybe possible to put a thinner folie on the screen and thats gonna be better. the protector glass is a little bit thick. probably this is the problem.
I also experienced a reduction in sensitivity after applying a glass screen protector. Without it phone always reacted okay, but with my protector the first miliseconds of my touch aren't registered it seems. I have more trouble typing and sometimes swiping lags. I have adjusted my usage and can live with it now though.
Yes a screen protector can make it less sensitive. But all I did was download this : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.shop4apps.touchscreenbooster.com
And then set it to super optimised and make sure it runs at boot and problem solved.

Hi - I tried that, it didn't make any difference... Unless it needs a reboot after changing the settings?

Hmmmm... I've just tried reinstalling it.
No joy for me. Sensitivity is no different.
I set multipoints to maximum of 2 and rebooted but it's allowing 3.
I live in hope, though!

Hi. Yes I'm using it on my elephone p9000 right now. I didn't need a reboot tbh. So not sure. Could be a fiffy touchscreen you have in yours?
i installed this app too. i did not resatart the phone. maybe i feel a little difference, but hard to tell if it really helps or not. i have to use few days to tell its placebo or not
Sent from my P9000 using XDA Free mobile app
Well see how it goes and hopefully it does the trick. The p9000 glass isn't anything special. Don't want it to crack or scratch so we need something to protect it.
I have tried several touch calibrarion apps.
It seems like the restart is necessary to apply the new settings.
for me this application gave the best result:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=redpi.apps.touchscreencalibration
...and i still hoping its not just a placebo effect

same here : no effect
I have the same problem but all the above apps don't work for me. I will try to swap my screenprotector for another one tommorow. Hopefully this works.
I've found out/realised that the bottom of the phone is less sensitive than the top, so compare the top and bottom half of the screen.
The top of the screen is *almost* as sensitive as every previous smartphone I've owned or used (mainly Samsungs, HTCs and various iPhones). I can just touch the screen without it registering, but only just.
The bottom of the screen is a lot less sensitive. When selecting (tapping) things, it prob wouldn't be much of an issue, but when I Swype using the 'keyboard', I get dropped letters.
A screen protector reduces sensitivity further (a glass one more than a flexible plastic one, from my experience)
R.

I can't tell what technically happens, but try and watch the screen with polarized lenses sunglasses and the screen is plain black, you have to look very closely to barely see something, turn the phone in any directions even upside down and your display magically reappears... Pretty annoying while using the phone outdoors (with good sunglasses )
