Now that android dual sim phones are coming, can one of the greater modders make a dual sim dialer for us. That is a dialer that will prompt you to select sim 1 or 2 before dialing. Thanks in advance.
Won't these phones come with a dialer thats does that ?
DW contacts & dialer works just fine. Though, I would have wanted the Sim 1/2 icons integrated into the UI instead of having a popup screen for calls.
Go Sms works fine for dual sims.
Request help for Google Voice to work in dual SIM Android
I am working on a dual SIM android PCBA.
The Android dialer is made to operate the dual SIM and SIM standby mode.
However, in this Android OS the dual SIM function block the other WiFi telephone dialing functions, such as Google Voice and Skype.
Is there any advice on where to stand to unblock this to allow outgoing WiFi phone dialing to calls?
Thank you.
That already exists on every mediatek based dualsim phone...

True. I have one since a week.
But the annoying thing is that SIM Contact Binding doesn't work properly.
When I have binded a contact to a SIM and I choose to call this person, it will still ask me to choose which SIM to use.
Then what is the contact binding for in the first place???
i heve htc M8 dual sim I want to turn off the sim2 without receiving any calls/messages for a period of time(daily 6 hrs for eg). If i try to keep my phone in areoplane mode, my sim1 also not receiving any calls. Is there any way to receive calls only to sim2 for a particular period of time? How to turnoff it for a period of time.?
i find one app called dual sim switcher but not support HTC android
Thanks in advance
If I am in a call on SIM1 and somebody else is calling me on SIM1 I can see the 2nd call and the caller also gets a notification if he is on the same network or some busy signal after some time if not.
However if I am in a call on SIM1 and somebody else is calling me on SIM2 there is no info on my side and the caller gets a message that I am not in the network or the phone is turned off. That is normally expected for dual-SIM dual-standby but all such dual-SIM phones that I have seen can (as long as you let them know the numbers of the 2 SIMs and you activate a specific option) do a small trick - right before you get into the 1st call (SIM1 above) the phone sets call forwarding from SIM2 to SIM1 and that way you get a call waiting when somebody else calls on SIM2 and he gets a busy signal or similar. At the end of the call any call forwarding added by the phone is of course removed.
The question is of course this - does Poco F1 has such an option and how do I activate it?!

I am using POCO F1 mobile and have sim inserted in both slots. At times the second sim gives the notification as mobile is switched off when someone calls me. They call in my first sim and inform my second number is switched off. If I check my device I could see indication for full signal. I generally re-start my device and this activates the second sim and I get missed call notificaiton.
What could be reason for this. I feel I am missing some important calls as my second number is used for professional connects.
I am not new to setting notifications on a dual sim mobile. My previous was a OPO 8T. I gave that up when Android 12 removed dual sim. So it seems that notifications default to Sim 1 on my S22+ and even if eSim is set as the priority, many notification sounds to to sim 1. Since Sim1 is my international sim, I only care about messages, and ring tone. But if I get a message on my eSim number the tone is the one set for sim 1. So fustrating and it seems Samsung should know how to manage notifications better.
